Bomberman Hero Review

By Misty Koopa

Storyline: The old badguys are up to their tricks again and Bomberman's out to stop them and save his neck of the universe with old and new friends. There are no actual two-player parts in the game, but you can do some stuff and then have your friend compare with his/her own time. Anyhow, you also have to save Princess Millian, which makes it sorta like a Mario game, but you get to move around from planet to planet.

System: Good ol' N64!

Rating: E, though the explosions where cool...

Release Date: 1998 it says.

Scoring Note: Each field is scored on a scale of 10.

Graphics: 9

Everyone looks cool in this game. It ain't no Melee, that's for sure, but it's a lot better then Mario 64 I must say.

Music: 8

Ooh, how I love some of this music, but there isn't much variety.

Size: 9

There may be only five planets, but boy, every one of them except for one has areas full of at least four sections, where you can unlock some levels if you go through different exits. Plus, as you collect Adok Bombs, you  can unlock another- well, figure THAT out for yourself, and with more Gold  Medals, you can get mini-games which you can beat and then clock to see if your friend can beat them faster!

Secrets: 5

They coulda made more, but the biggest one made this higher than what it would've been...

Difficulty: 9

It's hard, but like all games with me, once I beat them the next time I start fresh from the beginning I can make it to the end in a day, with all the Gold Medals on every planet.

Replay Factor: 10

You'll never wanna stop, unless it's when you kick the wall for losing Area 3-1 again for the fifth time on Kanatia...

Fun Factor!: 10

This game is a LOT of fun.

Recommendation: BUY THIS!!! Well, since you can still get N64 games for a cheap price...
