Ambush
Lemmy Koopa

This card has an excellent name, and it can be an excellent card as well.  Since it is a Spell is is easy to use...but just what would you do with it?  I'll tell you!

If you look back at my previous strategy articles, you should notice that many of them require you to invade new lands quickly.  Ambush will not help you in that end, but it will help stop your opponent from doing so.

The uses for this card are obvious, but it is easy to disregard Ambush's full power.  All you have to do with this card is drop it into the land you don't want your opponent to invade.  To get your opponent really ticked off, box them in by putting Ambush in all the lands your opponent could invade.  This works best at the very beginning of the game.  And get this: you can put more than one Ambush in an unowned land.  Laugh at your opponent as the damage threat grows increasingly larger.

You need to use this card carefully because its 30 damage effect will work against you if you invade the land it is in before your opponent does.  Keep in mind, also, that Ambush will not block your opponent from invading lands, but it does serve as a major deterrence.  This is one card that does not actually belong in every deck, but if you don't want your opponent to invade lands, it may belong in yours.
