Isn't it nice to have friends in war? And hey, any card with a name that's an oxymoron has to be good. I will show you how this card can work for you.
Many times I have lost precious Energy attached to a Minion I've just had knocked out. Of course I miss the Minion, but the entire deck will miss the Energy, especially if that was the last I had available. War Buddies will let you hold on to that Energy.
It's very simple, really. First, play War Buddies to one of your lands; it will remain there for the rest of the game. If a Minion of yours in that land, or a Minion that can move to that land, has Energy and is about to die, move the Energy to a fresh Minion so it can attack. This won't save the dying Minion, but it will save you from an Energy shortage.
War Buddies is an excellent card to have if you are using Energy-guzzlers, because you can save your Energy and give it to another hungry Minion. If you use War Buddies, you may also get away with having less Energy in your deck, leaving more room for useful cards. You can also keep the opponent on the defensive because since you can move your Energy around at any time, they can never be sure which Minion will attack next.
Like most cards, War Buddies comes with a few precautions. You will need to carefully guard the land it is in because your opponent could use War Buddies themselves if they get control of the land. You need to read your opponent and determine when they are about to kill your Minion. War Buddies will be useless if your opponent can kill all your Minions in one hit, and it may not work well if you are using more than one Energy type. But if you use this card cleverly, it is sure to improve your odds of winning.
