Now to talk about the Buildings. Players construct
Buildings on Foundations when they're in play, but players can mess up when
constructing the Buildings. A player can mess up by putting a Foundation in a
land where his/her opponent can strike before that player gets to upgrade it. Or
they can mess up by constructing a Throne Room on a Foundation, and their
opponent destroys the Throne Room because they're attacking from a land
connecting to that player's land. Here's how you can construct Buildings better,
and have a lower risk that a valuable Building will be destroyed.
First of all, when you have a Foundation in your hand, but no other Buildings to
upgrade it, then don't play the Foundation yet. Playing it when you don't have
other Buildings to upgrade it may cost you. Play a Foundation in your land when
you have at least a Building in your hand besides a Foundation, or you have a
Spell/Minion that can help you get a Building.
When you play a Foundation and have a Building in your hand, make sure that your
opponent won't attack the Foundation in their next turn, or else it's bye bye
for your Foundation and your chances of constructing Buildings on it. I suggest
playing a Foundation on a land where your opponent can't attack on their turn,
for example: If you control Water Land and Sky Land, and your opponent controls
Underground Land, which is adjoining Sky Land, play a Foundation in Water Land
so your opponent can't attack it, since they can only attack your Minions in Sky
Land.
Now for constructing Buildings on your Foundations. Sometimes, players can
construct Buildings on their one Foundation, but they can mess up when they have
two or more Foundations in play. When you have at least two Foundations and
you're constructing Buildings, here's what will help you. If you have a Building
that helps you find cards that you need, like Railroad Tracks, Doomship Port, or
Throne Room, try constructing it on a Foundation that is in a land you control
further away from your opponent's lands than the rest of your Foundations, so
your opponent can't attack it. If you have a Building that helps you when you're
attacking your opponent's Minions or your opponent is attacking your Minions,
like Gun Tower, Fortress, or Parapet, try constructing it on a Foundation that
is in a land that you control closer to your opponent's lands than the rest of
your Foundations, so your opponent will have a harder time.
You'll play better and have a better chance of winning if you play your
Buildings right. You have an even better chance of winning if your Buildings are
already constructed before your opponent's are, so try using cards that would
help you get the Buildings quicker.
