It’s time for this old geezer to take his stand. For an Uncommon card, this Head Magikoopa can really help you. His 60 HP is average for an Uncommon card and may not be much, but his attacks can help you search for a Minion you need, just like Magikoopa can. Yep, I’m especially talking about his Super Size.
Forget about Kamek’s Primary Beam. Although Primary Beam's ability to deal 40 damage isn’t that bad, you should be focusing on Kamek’s first attack, Super Size. Kamek’s Super Size is a good attack to use when you need an Evolved Minion. If you have a Super Koopa in play, don’t waste Energy by using Super Koopa’s Power Up. Instead, use Kamek’s Super Size to get the evolution card you need for Super Koopa. That also evolves your Super Koopa immediately, so it probably won’t be knocked out on your next turn, unless you’re facing a heavy hitter. Then you can use Kamek’s Super Size to evolve that Stage 1 Koopa into a Stage 2 Koopa. For example: You use Super Size to evolve Super Koopa into Evil Koopa, and use Super Size again next turn to evolve Evil Koopa into Bowser Koopa.
If you have a SMAAAASH! Deck, then
Kamek would be a great team member to have in play. One thing you do not want
Kamek to do is get near a heavy hitter. Honestly, I think Kamek isn’t meant to
attack Minions. I think he’s meant to help you get what you need. So forget
about Primary Beam and use Super Size instead. Only use Primary Beam when it’s
necessary. Combining this with an unevolved Magikoopa would help you more.
