So that's about it. I split it up into a lot of sections in case you need help on one certain thing so you don't have to read this whole thing. The ending will include my ideas about the game and all the leftovers. We will start with the introduction...

Introduction

Ok, so basically Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, and DK all get a letter to challenge Bowser. Your objective is to take on the challenge and defeat him (see section 4 for more information). You will choose a team captain (listed above) to gather other players and have the best team of nine to destroy King Koopa.

Star Characters

Star Characters are characters only stronger in their personality. So a person that is bad at fielding might become excellent in fielding. But to get Star Characters, you must go to Challenge Mode and gather all their Stars. Some Stars will be very difficult to get, but you can do it. If you do collect the Stars, you have to beat the rest of Challenge Mode to unlock them for any other mode. So you may collect all the Stars on Star Mode, but you will only be able to play them as Star Characters only in Challenge Mode, not in Toy Field or Exhibition mode, until you finish Star Mode to unlock them for everything (see next section for more info).

Getting Stars

Here I will show you how to get the Stars. (If you want to know all the characters' Stars and how to get them, plus tips on the Stars, see section 14.) Ok, so you want some help on how, well it's simple. In Challenge Mode, go to the pause menu. Click on Stars. After that, click on a character and you will see little square boxes. If you move the cursor over a box, you will see a challenge. For instance, Petey Piranha says to get a home run. So once you get a home run with Petey, you will get a Star. Complete all the boxes to get the Star Ccharacter. Your player won't get any better if you have one Star, you have to get them all to see a difference. Now, let's say you're playing Mushroom (easy) mode. You come across a box that says "can't do on this level". What this means is that you have to be on a harder level like Star mode to complete this certain objective. To complete the final star for Bowser, you have to be on Special (super hard) mode. So don't think it will be easy to get Star Characters, because it's not.

Challenge Mode

Ok so as you read in the introduction, Mario, Peach, DK, Wario, and Yoshi got a letter from Bowser to challenge him. In this section, I will tell you about all the teams and their weaknesses, plus some tips and character information. We will start with Yoshi's team.

Team Yoshi:

Team Yoshi is pretty tough. I suggest you try battling Yoshi's team first if you don't play as Yoshi. Yoshi's team is made up of Shy Guys, Birdo, Baby Mario and Luigi, and Yoshi. The main people you should watch out for are the Shy Guys. They almost always hit the ball, so they're plain annoying. And if you're on Star mode, they don't even need to charge up to hit a home run!

Tip: Always try to get out a Shy Guy. Sometimes (well at least for me) they will swing if you pitch a ball. Try to trick them by pitching to the left, but swing the ball to the right. This should trick them.

There are a lot of Shy Guys on Yoshi's team, so watch out. Baby Mario will normally hit toward the right. Watch out when he uses a Star move. If he does, he will hit it to the top left. No need to worry about Baby Mario, he is not all that powerful. Same goes for Baby Luigi, except he hits to the left and hits to the top right on Star moves. Now they may not always hit toward the place I said, but when I played, this is what they always did. Birdo is not all that tough except when she uses her special attack. This can be hard to dodge. Yoshi is easy to get out because he has such a small bat. He never seems to bunt, though, which is good. His egg attack never seems to work, so no sweat here! That is all about the team I can tell you. For more information visit the tip section for help.

Mario's Team:

Now Mario's team can be tough if you don't try. The big problem is the Piantas. If you let the Nokis get hits, then you should beware. The Nokis team up with the Piatas. Just about always, the Piantas will charge up. They always seem to hit home runs, which is the difficult part. Here is a tip to help you with Piantas.

Tip: Piantas are big, which means if you curve the ball, they should miss it. Don't always curve in the same direction, or they will be prepared.

Mario is pretty hard when he charges up. He can take a whack at it! He doesn't really use his special, though, which makes life even easier. His fireball is kinda easy to dodge if you play in the Bob-omb Derby. Luigi is easy except when he charges up. Same really as Mario, he never uses specials. Now I'm not saying never, but they useally don't use specials often. Nokis are easy except when they run. They are pretty fast, but not as fast as Monty Mole, who is also on the team. Anyway, Nokis use a shell as a bat, which is large. They do move fast when they bat so don't always rely on curve balls. Monty Mole is super fast! Never try to steal a base around him! He is awful at batting, though, so no need to worry. Just mainly watch out for the Piantas.

Peach's Team:

This team is easy, unless you make it hard. It is made up of Toads, Toadsworth, Peach, Daisy, and Toadette. Now, Toads are pretty powerful, which means you must strike them out. They almost always power up or use special powers. Either way, get them out! Toadsworth always hits the ball, but you can get him out without much trouble. Well for me, he seems to always hit the ball. Peach is balanced and doesn't do a good job of hitting. Her heart move is easy to block when she bats, but not when she pitches. Overall, she is pretty easy. Daisy is more powerful than you would think. I've seen her hit home runs, use flower attacks, and more. She should be on the power side, so watch out for her.

Tip: Since Peach and Daisy pair up, Daisy will usually charge up. If not, she will use her flower attack.

And then there was Toadette. She is as fast as a rabbit! But horrible at batting. She sometimes bunts, which makes life easy because you can always get her out when she bunts. No fright here!

Tip: When Toadette bunts, since she is fast, don't go for her unless she is the only one to get out or if you think you can get a double play or triple play!

Team DK:

This team is made up of Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong (Dk), Goomba, Paragoomba, Dixie Kong, Koopa, and Paratroopa. Let's start with the easy, Dixie kong is simple. She's the same as Diddy kong because they use a stick as a bat. So in other words, it is hard for them to hit the ball due to the length of the stick or bat. DK can be hard. He is big so it's not too hard to get him out. But he will hit home runs pretty well, especially if Diddy is on a base. The Koopas are really hard, especially the Paratroopa. The Koopas always seem to hit home runs. The Paratroopas are hard because they hover and you don't know where they are going to hit.

Tip: Either walk or hit DK because he is a home run machine! It's better to walk Dk because you wouldn't want them to get a run, would you?

But sometimes the Koopas will hit lots of fouls. They usually hit to the bottom of the field. Just keep your eye on them and you should do pretty well.

Team Wario:

This team is good! Watch out, Babe Ruth, because there's a new hitter in town and that is Petey Piranha! Team Wario is made of Magikoopas, Wario, Waluigi, Petey Piranha, Boo, and King Boo. Ok, the Magikoopas are good at fielding and ok at batting. Just watch out for batting because they will hit toward right and left field, OVER YOUR HEAD!!! They usually do that and it can be annoying. Wario is easy (and large) at the same time. I struck him out every time he came to bat! But that is my opinion. Waluigi is good at fielding, but is awful at batting. But beware, his pitching skills are tremendous! I have never seen anyone pitch a ball as slow as mollasis! The ball gets to the plate and just drops. It is hard, but you'll get used to it. Good gracious! Petey Piranha is in the house! He is so good that I even hit a home run with him every time. Well at least most of the time. But when you play him on Challenge Mode, he will most likely charge up and hit a homer. Try to walk him. Boo is just plain awful. I don't find any use in him. He's ok at batting, he's bad at pitching, bad at running, and awful at fielding. Batting is pretty good though. He hits it far right and it sometimes doesn't go out of bounds.

Tip: The best thing to do for Petey is walk him. If not, use some Star moves or trick him. If you're a daredevil, try to use a change up, but I won't guarentee it will work. Oh, and a batter will hit the ball even better if they hit a change up.

And finally, King Boo. He is good at batting. He would hit more home runs if the ball didn't curve so much and go out of bounds. Nothing really special for him, but if he does it right, he may be another home run person. So for him, strike him out a lot if he is compatible with another player on the bases (like Boo).

Bowser Jr

Now Bowser Jr. will walk around the map. If you see him and run into him, you will challenge him to a game. It is very short, by the way. It is good to challenge him when you are one or two flags away from unlocking someone. He will also give you one hundred coins if you beat him. Lose and you lose half your coins. So good luck with that. (See next section for the powers at the item shop in Challenge Mode.)

So this is all you should need to know about Challenge Mode. Good luck on the harder modes!!!

Section 5: Special Powers and help on them

So you want help on the special powers the players hold. Well let me tell you something, not all players have a very special power like Mario's fireball or Wario's Phony Ball. But every character has a special way of hitting the ball no matter if they are a team captain or not. I will not name the characters because you can see the names in section 14. So let's get started.

Fireball: This unique move is throwing the ball at very high speeds. The ball actually catches on fire! Very neat and realistic. This should get anyone out. If you bat, the person who catches the ball will catch on fire and the ball will go somewhere else.

Green Fireball: This is basically the same as the regular fireball except slower at batting. If you bat with this, the ball will stay in the infield but still catch a person on fire and they will lose the ball.

Flowers: This is probably the most difficult power to block. It confuses people so they don't know where the ball will go. When pitching, the ball will hide in tons of flowers and the batter will not be able to see it. It will become visible eventually. When batting, the ball will hide in flowers and you won't know where the ball will land.

Heart: Not as difficult as the flower move when batting, but hard at pitching. This is like the flower move only with hearts. When pitching, the ball is covered in hearts, making it difficult for the batter to hit it. When batting, the ball is again covered in hearts and heads somewhere in the outfield.

Pink Egg: This is somewhat difficult. The ball is trapped in an egg and moves like crazy! When pitching, the ball goes in all kinds of places, making it hard to hit. But if you practice, it should come to you. When batting, the ball is hit and bounces on the ground, but it goes in different places. So keep your eyes peeled!

Green Egg: This is the same as the pink egg only it goes in the infield. This is an attack you don't really want to use. Somehow, I always get an out because the egg heads toward the third baseman. I don't like it. Nothing really different about this.

Purple Confuse Ball: This is a neat move, but never works properly for me. It turns the ball into two so you have to guess which is the real one. Good at pitching, bad at batting. When pitching, it turns the ball into two and it goes back and forth until the end when it comes back to normal. When batting, the ball goes to a certain place and the infielders must guess which is the real one or they will be stunned for a short time.

Yellow Phony Ball: Same as Confuse Ball only it goes to the outfield. This one has more power too so look for that. Overall, don't use this much if you can't afford an out.

Chimp Banana: This is like a boomerang. This will hit the ball and turn it into a banana. The ball will head toward the outfield, but make a hook and head left. Really neat! At pitching, the ball will make a quick left or right depending on pitching style.

King Banana: Same as Chimp Banana only... nothing different. This will usually do the same as the Cimp Banana, but may head in different directions.

Bullet Bill: This is really weird. When batting, the ball will turn into a Bullet Bill and if someone catches it, they will be knocked back 15 feet (about). This will give the other baserunners a chance to run a long way. When pitching, the ball will turn into a Bullet Bill and go really fast! I mean really! Don't be fooled by what tricks it does, but it will make a circle before it reaches you.

Jr. Mask Bullet Bill: Same as the regular Bullet Bill. It may be less powerful, but really the same.

So now you know the tricks or the special powers. This will tell you what to expect if you're a new player to the game.

Section 6: Tips, Cheats, Help, Questions

Hello, I'm Chuck Quizmo, and I will be your leader through this section. In this place, you will see all the help you can get. First the tips:

Tip 1: In Challenge Mmode, there is an item called the Superstar. It ranges from 600 to 900 coins! You must have Bowser for Challenge Mode to unlock this. Then you must buy every single item there. Buy all the powers and one of the helping items.

Tip 2: When hitting with a Star move as a team captain, charge up while holding R and hit it. The power will be better than before.

Tip 3: Want easy home runs? Then you've come to the right tip. Just like tip 2, only harder. When you hit the ball, charge up, hold R, and try to make the ball hit the middle of the bat. If you do this, the ball will go so high, it's a home run. Practice it in Free Batting in Practice Mode.

So those are some tips. For more, look in the other sections. Time for some cheats:

Cheat 1: To unlock Hammer Bro, beat Challenge Mode with Bowser.

Cheat 2: To unlock Petey Piranha, beat Challenge Mode with Wario.

Cheat 3: To unlock Toadette, beat Challenge Mode with Peach.

Cheat 4: To unlock Baby Luigi, beat Challenge Mode with Yoshi.

Cheat 5: To unlock Dixie Kong, beat Challenge Mode with DK.

Cheat 6: To unlock Monty Mole, beat Challenge Mode with Mario.

Cheat 7: To unlock Buddy Emblem, unlock other team members in Challenge Mode.

Cheat 8: All star items in Challenge Mode make all your players Star Characters for one game.

I hoped you liked those cheats. Now here are some questions that were asked.

Q: I need some help on how to pitch a perfect game for a Star for Mario.
A: Well that means you must pitch a game without letting anybody get a run or hit the ball and get to a base.

Q: Barrel Batter is hard, any help you can give me?
A: If you tilt the control stick up, the ball will go down. Tilt it down, and the ball will go up. Leave it alone, and the ball should go in the middle. This is a hard game and does take a lot of practice.

Q: Do I have to unlock everybody to go beat Bowser's team?
A: No, of course not. But it is useful if you do. Also, you must beat for of the five teams to go to Bowser and at least play team 5 once.

These are some questions. If you want me to answer any of yours, Email me.

Section 7: Controls

So you're playing a game and find out that you don't know the controls. Trust me, I've been robbed and don't even get the instruction booklet with some games. But that's used games. Hey, at least they're cheap! Anyway, if you hate all the mess in the booklet and just want to skip to the controls, you've come to the right place. So that's about it. Enjoy this section!

Control Stick: Easy! Mainly just to move around, whether you're in the outfield going for the ball, or pitching, or batting. This is not used for running though. The control stick is used for the menus too, to move around the main menu or any other menu to do something.

R Button: This is a very important button. This is used for Star moves. Hold down R to do a star move. Also you can go to the character selection screen or the level screen and hit this to make a random selection.

L Button: Used for replacing to the standard position. In other words, you're pitching and you move to the left a little. You want to get back to the middle of the rubber. Just click L to do that. Also for batting too!

B Button: Hold this down to bunt the ball. If you tap it really fast while running, you'll sprint! Very useful. Also you can dive while in the field.

A Button: Used for jumping, pitching, and magic fielding. Hit A in the field to jump for high catches. Hit A to pitch the ball. Tap A to lightly pitch the ball. In the field, if you're able to, hit A to catch the ball without making a mistake. You'll see magic sparky stuff if it is used. Also batting. Hit A to swing the bat. Hold A, then release to use a power swing.

C Stick: Not at all used.

Start Button: What do you think this is used for? Just to pause the game.

Z Button: Not sure what this is used for. Tell me if you know.

Y Button: Used to steal, stop, and run. If you're on a base, hit Y to steal before the pitcher pitches. If you're running backwards or the opposite way you should be running, hit Y to stop and again to go the right way.

X Button: Just the opposite of the Y button, except for stealing. Used to stop and run. Hit it to go backwards. If you're going forward (or the right way) hit X to stop, then hit it again to go backwards.

So that's it! Wasn't that quick? If I left out anything, or messed up, I'll be waiting for a letter in my Email box.

Section 8: Mini-Games - help on mini-games

Ok, so this is a section strictly about those dreadful mini-games. I have listed only the already unlocked ones. I hope you don't mind.

Bob-omb Derby: This is a super fun mini-game. This is how you play. There is a ball shooter, all you have to do is hit it and make it explode into a firework to gain points. Here is the catch, You must charge up to hit it in the air. Also, there are different kinds of balls that may be shot out. There is the slow ball (Mushroom). regular ball (Fire Flower), and fast ball (Star). There's also the rocket ball (the comet-like thing with the fire) and the big bomb, which gives you 200 extra points! Just hit the ball and get a lot of points Try to get ten in a row to advance to overtime on Special Mode.

Wall Ball: This is kinda tricky. All you have to do is pitch the ball and try to hit the Note Wall. This will give you 100 points. If the wall is right in front of you, don't raise the meter at all. If you hit the Bowser Wall, you will lose a lot of points (I think half). The brick walls will give you 10 points.

Piranha Plant Infestation: This is a fun game, except for all the bombs coming at you and the Piranha Plants shooting fireballs at you. In this game, you have to throw colored eggs at the Piranha Plant with the same color. You won't get points if you throw it at a different color. Also, if you throw it at a different color, you will get bombarded with fireballs. If you see a giant purple Piranha Plant pop up, you can shoot whatever color you want, but no matter what you do, it will shoot fireballs at you. Also you will have Bob-ombs in your pile. You have two choices, you can throw it at a Piranha Plant to get double the points or you can throw it at an opponent to blow them away for a short period. To dodge fireballs and bombs, tilt the control stick down to duck.

Barrel Batter: This is a super hard mini-game, unless you're talented. I have had a lot of trouble with this. If you want help and tips, visit the Tips and Cheats section. In this game, you must hit a baseball at barrels. You get more points if you hit barrels that are the same color together. If you hit a glowing barrel, you'll blow up every single barrel so you will get tons of points. So get those aiming skills ready!

Chain Chomp Sprint: This is a very fun and kinda hard game all in one. If you've ever played the game Don't Wake Daddy (I know, it's a stupid remark) then you should do well on this. It's played by collecting jewels and not getting caught by the sleeping Chain Chomp. So here's how you play it. Run around the bases collecting jewels. There is a Chain Chomp in the middle. When he wakes up, you must stop immediately or he will ram you and you will lose lots of jewels. When he goes back to sleep, start running. If you see a Mushroom, try not to get it. If you get a Mushroom you will go super fast, but that means when the Chain Chomp wakes up, you won't be able to stop as fast. If you see a red jewel, get it for 10 points. This is how the game works.

I hope you enjoyed this section. Stay tuned for the next!

Section 9: Bowser in Challenge Mode

This section is for people not knowing what to do when they have beaten the game and are stuck with Bowser in Challenge Mode. So this is the best I can do...

It all starts with Bowser. You must go around collecting as many characters as possible. Try not to replace Hammer Bro, for he is good! This is the time when you unlock the final item in the item shop, THE SUPERSTAR!!! This will turn all your teammates into Star Characters for one game. Too bad it's only one game. Once you collect enough characters, you will battle all the team captains except Bowser and Bowser Jr. This can be difficult because you are battling EVERY TEAM CAPTAIN except the ones I listed. So good luck with this. Oh, and the best part is, you don't have Bowser Jr. going around challenging you. This is just the same only you don't unlock team captains, only non-team captains.

Section 10: Catching

In these next sections I will talk to you briefly about the main parts. For catching all you need to do is follow these steps:

1: Use the jumping catch as much as possible for this will decrease your chances of messing up.

For catching when you're in the outfield, just use the control stick and head toward the ball. Try to catch it if possible. The hard part is throwing it to a person. I normally cheat and put fielding on auto. What am I supposed to do, it's difficult! I've been working on it. Magikoopa is the best because he can magically catch the ball, which means no mess ups. This takes a lot of practice.

Section 11: Base Running

This is very simple, just see controls for more details on how. This is basically just running. Stealing can be hard because if the batter hits it but an outfielder or infielder catches the ball, you can't turn around until you make it to the next base. Nothing really to it but be careful when stealing. Also stop if it looks like someone is going to catch it. Never head back because the person might mess up and you will have to try to make it to the next base from the beginning.

Section 12: Batting

Mostly easy. Just move around the base with the control stick, hit with A. To charge up, hold down A and release when you want to swing. To use special, hold R and use A to swing. B is used to bunt. A squeeze bunt is bunting when there is a runner on third who steals and scores on the play. Have a fast runner do this.

Section 13: Pitching

Also easy. When on the rubber, tap A to lightly throw the ball. Tilt the control stick down and hit A to do a change up. Hold A then release to charge, then pitch a fast ball. Hold A 'til the very end to throw a trick ball. This means the batter will think you are throwing a fast ball, but you are not. You will throw pretty fast, but not as fast. Hold R then hit A to do a Special move. Use the control stick to curve the ball when it is heading toward the batter. That is all that is needed.

Section 14: Characters

In this section, I have listed every character in the game and told a little about them and their good points. So feel free to read the whole thing if you like. It's not like I am. The * means the character is a captain.

Mario*: This is the main character because the game is named after him. Strong point is batting. Mario is a balanced player and deserves a big part in the game.

Daisy*: This is a tricky player. You can tell that she likes flowers by her use of them. Strong point is fielding. Her neat fielding move lets her throw the ball right when she gets it!

Peach*: Same as Daisy only she likes hearts. Strong point fielding. Her fielding is the same as Daisy, throwing it right when she gets it. Peach is friends with mainly everyone. Just look at all those notes!

Luigi*: The brother of the famous Mario. I think he hates Mario by the way he acts. Strong point is pitching. He throws a little faster than Mario and curves the ball more. Makes a great catcher too!

Birdo*: I don't know what this creature is. Maybe a deformed Yoshi? You tell me. Anyway, strong point is fielding. Boy, she has a neat mouth. Birdo is able to vacuum up the ball from a far distance. Birdo is violent too because she can hit a baseman when she runs if she wants to.

Waluigi*: A very weird character. I don't know why he was made, but he is pretty cool. Talk about scary! Strong point is pitching. He has a neat Star move that confuses people. It turns the ball into two! But his pitching is WOW!

Yoshi*: Neat little creature. Strong point is running. He's pretty good at fielding because he can use his tongue to eat the ball.

Diddy Kong*: Pretty neat, has a lot of strong points. Strong points are fielding and running. His running is fast and he uses that magic move at fielding. And I like his Star power.

DK*: The big Kong. Strong point is batting. Weird, he uses a boxing glove as a bat. He's super powerful though and fast at pitching. He has the same Star move as Diddy.

Wario*: Same as Waluigi in star powers. Strong point is batting and maybe pitching. I don't think he should be classified as strong, but I guess he is. I have never hit a home run with him. Weird!

Bowser*: King Koopa's fit for a baseball game. He uses a weird bat called a mace. I wonder if those spikes ever pop the ball. Strong points are batting and pitching. His batting is hard to do because he is so large. Pitching is like a lightning bolt. Wow is what I say!

Bowser Jr*: The follower of Bowser. He uses the same bat and same moves only smaller and not as powerful. Strong points are batting and pitching. The pitching is neat because he can curve the ball well.

Toad: Strong point is batting. Good at batting because I've hit a lot of home runs with Toad.

Shy Guy: Strong points are batting and fielding. Strong at fielding and powerful at batting. Overall balanced.

Goomba: How does he play without arms? Good at fielding and running, but not at batting.

Koopa: Good at fielding and running. I don't see how he hits home runs every time in Challenge Mode for me.

Dixie Kong: She scares me. Her smile is freaky. Strong point is running.

Boo: Boo isn't scary. Awful at batting though because I always hit fouls. Strong point, well, it has to be batting because it could hit next to the foul line and be a fair ball.

Toadsworth: I don't know what he says. Is it piehole? Strong point is fielding. His fielding is good because he has that magic attack.

Koopa Paratroopa: Confusing. I don't know where he hits. Strong points are running and fielding. He hovers so it's hard to tell.

Magikoopa: Scary face. Strong point is fielding. Has that same magic attack. Good at batting too.

Dry Bones: Ok, now they have gone too far. Dry Bones? Come on, people. It's neat to see him in a sports game, though. Strong point is batting. He seems to hit it over every infielder's head. FUN!!!

Baby Luigi: What a crybaby. He makes an out and cries like the world has ended. What is with him? Strong point is running. How does he lift a bat?

Baby Mario: Cries like an adult in a baby body. His cry is like manly. Strong point is running. How does he see under a hat so big?

Taodette: Has the craziest hair. Strong point is running. Very good at running so pick her to bunt.

Monty Mole: Weird thing. How does he hit the ball with something so small? Strong point is running. You can't match his running except maybe with Toadette.

Paragoomba: Strong point is running. I can see that this thing should use the wings as hands to hold the bat. Looks like an angle.

Noki: I don't know what this thing is. Strong point is running. I don't see the point of it.

Pianta: Pretty strong. Uses a tree trunk as a bat. This is something I gotta see. Strong points are batting, fielding, and pitching. Pretty good at everything but mainly batting.

King Boo: Strong point is batting. Nothing much to say, really. A foul hitter though and strong.

Petey Piranha: VERY VERY VERY VERY STRONG!!! I hit a home run every time with Petey. Don't know how. Strong point by a long shot is batting. Wow, this is one powerful person.

Hammer Bro: Strong point is batting. This is a powerful person. You can see he's small so it's easier to hit the ball. Good for beginners!
