SSBM Higher Bosses Guide for Peach Fans

By Princess Daisy

Multi-Man battle, Adventure mode
When you get to the Multi-Man fight, you'll do it on the Battlefield, but the environment conditions have been drastically changed. Now you float a little more in the air. This shouldn't be a problem for you as Princess Peach, since her aerial attacks are the most powerful. Added to the air, when you do attacks repetitively, the damage they deal decrease as time passes, so you'll have to use a wide variety of moves, weak ones first and then the stronger ones.

My strategy is, first, stay at the initial point as long as you can, and begin using the golf club/racket/frying pan whack on both sides. After you've killed 8-10 of them, switch to Peach's down smash A, charge it up, and as soon as the 5 men get near you, unleash your attack; this will send them away. Repeat the operation until you've killed 10-15 more. Now switch to Up Smash A, aerial crown slap, or her hip attack (Aerial back+A).

Tips:
-Since you float more, aerial attacks strung together are great and efficient.
-On harder levels, it'll be harder to perform these moves, so it's recommended that you turn to aerial moves.
-Try to pick up all the items you can, especially Warp Stars; it is annoying when they get them and kill you with it.
-Never pick up any Bob-omb, let them wander around, perhaps you can make one of the Multi-Men touch it and set it off or pick it up and throw it off the stage. This also applies to Motion Sensor Bombs, Party Balls, Crates, Barrels, and Pokeballs.
-Never throw items at them unless they're off-stage, as they can use nasty shield reflection.
-Carrier items are best left untouched, just let them lay there and don't go near them if possible.

Metal Bros. or Metal Characters
For the Metal Bros, wait for them under the platforms, and charge up either the Down Smash to catch them in a whirlwind of kicks, or Up Smash A to separate them. When they get up, or if they remain on foot after the attack, repeat this quickly. You’ll get the best results if you spam it. I prefer focusing on Luigi, since his aerial attacks are killers. Don't attack him from the air, use low attacks combined with the golf club whack. CPU Luigi rarely uses Up+B, so he should be easy to throw down. Now with Mario, spam Down Smash A, whack him with the racket, and try to grab him and do the front throw; it is the most powerful of Peach’s throws, and makes it easier. If he keeps trying to return with Up+B, go to the edge of the stage, wind up your Down Smash, and let it go when he approaches the ledge.

This strategy applies for most of the Metal Characters. You should focus on Nana if you go vs. the Ice Climbers; when Popo is alone, he's nothing.

Tips:
-Try to keep a distance from Metal Characters, they're somewhat stronger, but if you manage to dodge their attacks with correct timing, beating them is a breeze.
-Same as said before with all items.
-If possible, try to be an Edge Hog. This means that you steal the cliffhang from the opponent. To do this, just jump quickly off-stage, use the midair jump or Up+B to the side the ledge is, and grab onto it, but don't let go until your opponent has fallen.

Master and Crazy Hand
These hands are quite predictable, and so you should prepare your arsenal when you see the minor signal of an attack.

*Master Hand*
This hand is easier than Crazy Hand. Be ready when MH is about to use the laser beams, because this is your chance to deal the most damage to it. You can tell it's about to do so because it flexes its fingers and becomes still. When this attack is done, you must start floating and doing either the crown slap or her upward kick, which do the most aerial damage possible, or you can opt for quicker strikes with the hip attack or the neutral air A hit. The Peach Bomb is also recommended. Now, when the hand slaps down on the stage, if you're feeling expert and lucky, hit B to perform the Toad Counter, or dodge or defend and quickly perform Down Smash A. The same counter rule applies for the electric punch and sideways slap of both hands. For the "Spider-Man" gesture, I recommend shielding or air dodging (jumping in midair before it hits you, so you have more chances to counteract). With the "handwalking" (when the hand mimics human walking with the index and middle fingers) all you can do is shield or air dodge. When you get to the other side of the hand, pluck up a vegetable and throw it at the hand. For its grab attack, all I can say is dodge, and throw vegetables. When you're about to get poked, run away to the other side of the stage, and let it attack the air. For the tornado attack, just run away from it, pluck a vegetable, approach the hand from a nice distance, and fire away. As you throw the vegetables, go plucking them out so you do more damage.

*Crazy Hand*
For Crazy Hand, the guide varies only with the bomb throwing and the ground shaking this hand does. The grab, laser, poke, slap, Spidey gesture, and punch strategies are pretty much the same. For the bomb it throws, get to a considerable distance, pluck up vegetables, jump, and throw them. For the earth shake, remain floating in the air until it ends attacking.

*Crazy and Master Hand*
They do tandem attacks too, these ones are easier to dodge. Their first combo move is, when they move away, then close in on the stage to make you sleep. To dodge this, sidestep to the edge of the stage and shield, and when they go up, finishing their sleep powder attack, jump up and float over them as they clap. When they do the punching one, crouch or float above them, and when they begin clapping, do the same as with the first one.

Tips:
-Keep plucking up vegetables repeatedly, you never know if the 36% dealing veggie will pop out.
-Just use the Toad move if you're sure you know the hands' timing.

30 Mr. Game & Watch Fight
Kinda the same strategy as with the Multi-Man battle, but in this one, besides watching out for items, you have to keep an eye on the stage. Here your attacks won't weaken, but the stage will change. Try to remain at your initial point, but as soon as you see the first tool fall down, go hide under the roof. (BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL HERE!) If you remain at your initial point, it is easier to finish them with Smash attacks.

Tips:
-Same as the item tips above.
-Never try to run when there's oil spread.
-Be very careful when under the roof, keep your eyes peeled to prevent Mr. G&Ws from killing you.
-ABSOLUTELY NO VEGETABLES OR TOAD

Giga Bowser Fight
This strategy works for both Event 51 Giga Bowser and the one in the adventure mode. The best strategy is aerial attacking. Use the crown slap on his face repeatedly, and float from edge to edge to avoid the other two foes (in case of Event 51). You can drop to the stage when he is down and use the Run+A attack as he tries to get up to lift him if you've driven him to a high damage percent. When he's up, quickly jump up and hit Air Up+A, or any aerial attack that is not the Down+A. Also, the parasol is a nice alternative.

Tips:
-Don't pick up explosive items; if you pick Motion Sensor Bombs, set them and float above them to lure G. Bowsie, yields great results.
-Avoid being hit as long as you can.
-Practice, practice, practice!
