Full Name: Popple the Master Shadow Thief

Favorite Activities: Robbing (bad), and playing his PS2 (good)

Popple, as a young Bean, had a hard life as the victim of the school bullies. This began after Kamek, who was masquerading as a student, turned everyone into a student before they realized who he was. Popple, however, was saved by a strange creature. Popple eventually managed to complete school, but not before he was greatly embarrassed by one of the Bullies. This experience started Popple on a mad quest for revenge.

Popple studied theivery in college, but almost failed because he spoke too darkly and never cracked the smallest of smiles. He got a temporary job at Woohoo Hooniversity so he could learn to smile again. After this he started his life of crime. He first robbed the Beanbean Castle of nearly all its money. He next stole the entire supply of Mushrooms and Super Mushrooms from the Mushroom Kingdom, but was caught by The King. The King did not realize that Popple wished to turn the Mushrooms into monsters, and thought only that Popple wished to eat them. Nevertheless, to ensure the Mushrooms' safety, he had them incased in boxes. Then, to make sure that Popple never found them, each box was marked with a '?'.

Despite The King's efforts, Popple managed to get away with a few Mushrooms that were left unboxed. He traced their DNA and turned them into Poison Mushrooms, using what he had learned at Woohoo Hooniversity. He also used similar information to make turn some Bob-ombs pink.

Ultimately Popple joined a thieving guild down as the Shadow Thiefs. After only the third day of his admission to the organization, he was ranked the best thief, and thereby attained Master Level. Fellow member Croco (from Mario RPG) was ranked second, and became known as The Super Shadow Thief.
