The Legend of the Four Power Swords

A long time ago, the Koopa World was in danger. Smitlato, Cacklea, and Wort (the ancestors of Smithy, Cackletta, and Wart) were destroying the Koopa World, until a great, magical smith forged four swords known as the Power Swords. Each sword carried the power of one element and increased the power of the wielder. Grodios (ancestor of Grodus) controlled the Sapphire Sword of Water, King Boolus (ancestor of King Boo) controlled the Emerald Sword of Wind, Crusius (ancestor of Curse Piranha Plant) controlled the Golden Sword of Earth, and the smith controlled the Ruby Sword of Fire. After defeating the Evil Three, the Ruby Sword rejected the smith, and was put in a sanctuary. When the other sword wielders passed away, the other swords were put away. The sanctuary was called Power Sanctuary, and four mages known as Sword Mages guarded the swords. The mages lived at the sanctuary. The descendents of the wielders used the swords, but no one claimed the Ruby Sword.

Shy Ranger

In West Bowser’s Badlands, there is a cliff. Near that cliff is a small, two story, two room house with a Bowser shell roof. Inside this house lives a Koopa known as Shy Ranger. No one (not even he) knows his birthdate, birthplace, parents, or siblings.

One year after he was abandoned, he stumbled upon a Warp Whistle. Using the whistle, he went to Warp Zone. He found Power Sanctuary, where the Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, and Golden Sword Mages and Ruby Sword live. When approaching the sword, it lit up.

Ruby Sword Mage: Interesting. The sword lights up for you. You must be the chosen one. Try wielding the Ruby Sword.

When Shy Ranger picked it up, his power increased.

Ruby Sword Mage: You ARE the chosen one! Now, you must use that sword to protect your world.

He lives west of Koopa Town, a village for Bowser’s minions, where he hangs out with his friends: Smithy Junior, Meg Koopa, Blackitu, and Blackicloud.

Shy’s Friends

Smithy Junior is a smaller version of Smithy. He lives in and mans Shy Ranger’s Weapon Shop on Koopa Mountain when Shy Ranger isn’t there. His mastery is weapons and he can use a hammer like Smithy.

Meg Koopa is a pink-shelled female Koopa who lives in Koopa Town. She always helps Shy Ranger when he is stuck. She is great at puzzle solving and is studying hand-to-hand combat.

Blackitu is a Lakitu who loves to fight hand-to-hand. He loves fighting beside Shy Ranger.

Blackicloud is Blackitu’s cloud, and is black. She loves flying people besides Blackitu around and has the power to shoot lighting. Sometimes, Blackitu and Blackicloud fight with each other.

The Weapon Shop

Shy Ranger and his friends were able to create a small weapon shop. There, the shop sells the items below.

Even though the shop sells a lot of things, Shy Ranger hopes to get better business.

The Other Power Swords

Grodus, King Boo, and Curse Piranha Plant were able to wield the Sapphire, Emerald, and Golden Swords.

Grodus used the power of his sword to create an army to try to take over the world, but Mario stopped him. Grodus joined up with Smithy and Cackletta to form The Evil Three.

King Boo created an army of ghosts powerful enough to haunt an entire mansion and kidnap Mario. When Luigi defeated him, he used his army of Boos to haunt the famous Hotel Delfino, but Mario defeated him that time.

Curse Piranha Plant used his sword to try to take over the world, but Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi defeated him. Now he is plotting his revenge.

Having been defeated, the Evil Three and King Boo are plotting to take over the Koopa World instead.

Shy Ranger: This must be what the Mage was taking about.

When they first came, Shy Ranger attacked, but couldn't defeat them, but Bowser could.

The Evil Three: WE WILL BE BACK!

King Boo: AND EVEN MORE POWERFUL THEN!

Shy Ranger: I guess I will need some training.

Now, Shy Ranger is training, getting ready for the next invasion.
