Known as the most popular man in all of video gaming, Mario is also the most popular man alive! He sold over 148,000,000 copies of games along with his brother Luigi. Mario is very kind hearted and a good role model for kids everywhere. Back in 1981, Mario took up a construction business (going by the earned nickname of Jumpman) and stirred up some bad blood against Donkey Kong for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, Pauline. Since Donkey Kong undertook a change when he was taken by Rareware (who gave him a "cool" persona), he and Mario are now allies. After a short-lived demolition career, Mario then found his true passion- plumbing. Since his brother Luigi had no job, he decided to enroll him in the de-clogging business too.

Luigi is Mario's brother. He has been referred to as Mario's neglected sideick, but he is loved by many people. Luigi also jumps significantly higher and has a larger hangtime, but is very jittery and it affects his performance (he skids like crazy). He is taller and wiser than his eager, heroic brother, and thinks before he acts. He got his debut in Mario Bros. when he and Mario were ridding the sewers of critters. Luigi is cool and calm under pressure, and is very bashful when it comes to many things. He had a voice box transplant shortly after 2000 to sound more mature, because he sounded like a small child in Super Smash Bros. and was often teased because of this. Luigi is just as popular as Mario and is the second most popular man alive!
