Name: Warlord Monstro
Species: Sledge Brother
Age: 182 (if he is still alive)
Height: 10'7"
Affiliation: Founder of Monstro Town,
formerly employed by Bowser's father, King Morton I
Description: Monstro is an incredibly
tall and muscular gray sledge Brother. He carries a custom-forged broadsword
measuring five feet long, 1 1/2 feet thick, and weighing 230 lbs. This
sword is slung over his shoulder through a self-carved hole in his shell.
He also carries in his belt a custom-made plasma cannon (very rare and
deadly) weighing another 300 lbs and mounted on a pistol grip. Unlike others
of his breed, he has clawed fingers and toes. His right eye is artificial,
made of solid gold.
Monstro was the supreme commander of
the Koopa Troop during the reign of Morton I. He had direct and complete
power over all military operations in the Koopa Empire, and he answered
only to the king. When Morton died, Monstro expected another powerful position
in the noble and mighty empire of the Koopas, rightful rulers of Plit.
However, it was not to be. The very day Bowser came to power, Monstro was
removed from his position, and came to be regarded as a worthless relic
from an earlier age. Monstro was deeply
grieved, and terribly insulted. These
feelings were nothing, however, compared to the rage Monstro felt when
he learned that Morton had been assassinated by his only son, none other
than King Bowser! Galled to the core by his new king's betrayal, Monstro
fled from the empire, but not without causing severe damage to Bowser's
"New Imperial Nation" before he left. It is not widely known, but it was
Monstro who opened the warps to let the dreaded Mario Brothers back into
Plit, it was Monstro who planted the seeds of rebellion in the Koopa Empire
(seeds which were later sown by Flutter and his troops), and it was Monstro
who created the rebel safehaven, Monstro Town. Three days after Monstermama,
a Mushroom citizen, bought the land upon which the town was built and promised
to make it a haven for those fleeing Bowser, from within the Koopa Troop
as well as without, Monstro disappeared. No one knows what became of the
renegade warlord. To this day, no one has seen or heard anything about
him...
But nothing lasts forever!
