Mario and Luigi jump back into the hole which warps them to Rainbow Ride.
Luigi: Where do you think that last Star could be?
Mario: Well, when we were on the ship getting the first Star, I noticed that there was a cannon hatch on the stern.
Luigi: You mean, there's a Bob-omb Buddy we haven't found yet? Where could he be?
Mario: How should I know?
Luigi: What if we just forced the hatch open? You know, with our wrenches or somethin'?
Mario: Well, he's gotta be around here somewhere!
Luigi: Oh yeah? What if he went on vacation? What if he fell off the edge and to his doom? BOB-OMB BUDDY! WHERE ARE YOU?
Mario covers his ears.
Bob-omb Buddy: LUIGI? IS THAT YOU?
Luigi: WHERE ARE YOU?
Bob-omb Buddy: ON TOP OF THE MAZE!
Luigi: LISTEN! CAN YOU OPEN THE CANNON FOR US?
Bob-omb Buddy: GLADLY! JUST COME OVER TO ME!
Luigi: IT'D BE EASIER IF YOU JUST OPENED IT RIGHT NOW!
Bob-omb Buddy: SORRY! YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY COME TO ME IF YOU WANT ME TO OPEN THE CANNON!
Luigi: Darn it! Now we've gotta get on top of the maze, AND get to the ship!
Mario: I got an idea! We'll save time if we split up! One of us can talk to the Bob-omb Buddy while the other can go after the Star!
Luigi: I call talking to the Bob-omb Buddy! Talking's easy!
Mario: If you say so.
The Marios get onto the first carpet and ride it over to the spinning platforms. Luigi heads to the maze, while Mario heads to the next carpet.
Luigi: Good luck, Mario! At least I won't be needin' any.
Luigi walks to the center of the maze's base.
Luigi: BOB-OMB BUDDY! WHERE IN THE MAZE ARE YOU?
Mario, who is riding on a carpet, is covering his ears.
Mario: Mamamia! That's loud!
Bob-omb Buddy: THE VERY TOP!
Luigi: HOW DO I GET THERE?
Bob-omb: SEE THAT SHAFT TO YOUR LEFT? YOU GOTTA WALL KICK UP IT!
Luigi: *gulp* (to himself) Wall Kick?
Luigi walks over to the shaft and attempts to Wall Kick his way up. After a few Wall Kicks, he screws up and falls down.
Luigi: OUCH! At least there's a heart next to me!
Luigi runs through the heart and restores his energy.
Luigi: Let's try this again, shall we?
Luigi tries Wall Kicking up the shaft a few more times, but they all end in failure.
Bob-omb Buddy: HEY, LUIGI!
The Bob-omb Buddy looks down from the top of the shaft.
Bob-omb Buddy: How's it goin'?
Luigi: It would go a lot better if there was a ladder. Or a P-Wing! Or a rope! Or if you just came down here!
Luigi tries to wall kick again, but he ends up falling and touches the heart again.
Luigi: Hey! If I just take this heart with me, I'll never get hurt!
Luigi tries to grab the heart, but his hands go through it. Luigi tries to grab the heart again.
Bob-omb Buddy: You never learn, do you?
Luigi: Shut up!
Mario is now at the ship, trying to force the hatch open with his wrench.
Mario: It won't budge!
Mario grabs a Bob-omb and throws it at the hatch. It blows up, but the hatch remains unscratched.
Mario: What's taking Luigi so long? LUIGI! I'M AT THE CANNON! HURRY UP!
The Bob-omb Buddy laughs uncontrollably as Luigi tries to grab the heart. As a result, he falls off the platform, and lands next to Luigi.
Bob-omb Buddy: Ouch.
Luigi: I gotcha!
Bob-omb: Grrrr.
Luigi: You have to open the cannon now!
Bob-omb Buddy: Fine! Not that you deserve it. *clears throat* Hi! I'll prepare the cannon for you!
The cannon opens up.
Mario: Well, it's about time!
Mario jumps into the cannon, but the hatch closes while he's inside.
Mario: HEY! WHAT'S GOIN' ON?
The Bob-omb Buddy laughs.
Bob-omb Buddy: Sucker!
Luigi grabs the Bob-omb Buddy and holds him over the edge.
Luigi: That's it! I know my brother made it to the cannon. Now either you open it, or I drop you!
Bob-omb Buddy: Okay, okay!
The hatch opens up, and the cannon rises out. Mario is gasping for air.
Mario: What was that?
Mario blasts out of the cannon, passes through a rainbow, and lands on the platform with the Chuckya. Mario ignores the Chuckya and hits the block containing the Power Star. Before he can reach it, the Chuckya grabs Mario and nearly tosses him off the edge.
Mario: That's it! I'm mad!
Mario grabs the Chuckya and tosses him off the platform. He then jumps at the Star and we hear the Star music.
Mario: Here we go!
Bob-omb Buddy: Uh, Luigi? Can you stop
holding me over the edge like this? It's REALLY scary!
