Mario and Luigi appear in Whomp's Fortress after going through the painting.
Mario: One Star left, Luigi.
Luigi: I just hope that it doesn't involve those Piranha Plants in ANY way!
Mario: It probably will.
Luigi: Wonderful... So what's left here anyway?
Mario: 100 coins.
Luigi: Oh great...
Mario: I'll take the bottom, you take the top.
Luigi: But-
Mario: No buts!
Luigi: ...
Mario heads for the Piranha plant in the flower bed, tiptoes to it, and whacks it. He then grabs the blue coin. He then goes past the red coin Star marker and throws the box into a wall to make it break and grabs the three coins it leaves, along with the coins around the flower bed.
*Coins=16*
Luigi: Guess I'll go up this way.
Luigi heads up the stone hill and grabs the five coins on the way.
*Coins=21*
Luigi: Oh great. Piranha Plant at 9 o' clock. Here we go...
Back where Mario is, near the flower bed where the first Piranha Plant used to be...
Mario: I wonder how Luigi's doing.
Luigi: aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Luigi flies into the flower bed where Mario is.
Mario: Luigi! What are you doing?
Luigi: STUPID PLANT!!!
Mario: *sigh*
Luigi: IT GRABBED ME AND TOSSED ME!!! I'LL SHOW THAT PLANT!!!
Mario: You do that.
Luigi races back to where he came from.)
Mario: I'll give him ten seconds.
10 seconds later...
Luigi: aaaaaaaaaAAAHHHHHH!!!
Splat! Into the flower bed.
Mario: Welcome back, Bro.
Luigi: ARGH!!!
Mario: Having fun?
Luigi: YOU WISH!!!
Luigi races back.
Mario: This could take a while. I think I'll get more coins in the meantime.
Mario heads for the shallow water and grads the eight coins there, then grabs the red coin up the slippery stone hill and the five coins near the cannon.
*Coins=36*
Mario: Now for the blue coins.
Mario heads down the hill under where the third Star is located, presses the blue switch, collects the blue coins, and throws and breaks the box there, collecting the three yellow coins.
*Coins=59*
Mario: I wonder if Luigi's beaten that plant yet.
Back in the flower bed...
Luigi: Oie...
Back to where the cannon is...
Mario: Guess I'll get the coins up where the Star is.
Mario uses the cannon to blast to where the third Star is, and grabs the eight coins.
*Coins=67*
Mario heads back to the dirt hill near the beginning and grabs the five coins there, and the red coin on top of the second moving block. He then makes his way to where the green switch block and the Thwomps are. He then climbs the steps and grabs the red coin on top of the second Thwomp.

Mario: Here comes Luigi again.
Luigi is seen racing again toward the plant again, and smoke appears like in a cartoon. Mario walks by and collects the red coin behind the plant. He then grabs the red coin on the narrow path, crosses the bridge with the falling blocks, and grabs the five coins on the little wooden bridge and the four yellow coins and red coin on the rotating platform. Lastly he jumps on the Piranha Plant near there and collects the blue coin.
*Coins=96*
Mario: Better check on Luigi.
Mario heads back to where Luigi is, only to see him still fighting with the Piranha Plant.
Mario: Oh brother.
Luigi: TAKE THAT!!! AND THAT!!! AND THAT!!!
The plant finally gives in, and coughs up the blue coin. Luigi grabs it and the Star appears above his head.
Luigi: ... Got... it...
Mario: You know, Luigi? Did you even think about approaching quietly?
Luigi: ... Now... you... tell... me...
Mario: Oh well.
Luigi grabs the Star and does the Star Dance.
Luigi: Here we go... *faints*
Mario: On to the next Star!
