The Brothers once again dive into the pool of goo to appear back in the Hazy Maze Cave.
Luigi: I wish we could just get all the Stars and go!
Mario: Yeah, well, the author won't allow that. So let's split up again like that one time when we found the red coins!
Luigi: But I didn't like it! WAH!!!
Mario ignores Luigi again, then heads for the left path.
Luigi: The Cap's mine for the taking...
Luigi gets the Metal Cap and heads for the right path. Once he makes it to the door, he becomes normal Luigi again. Meanwhile, Mario enters from the other side.
Mario: Let's a-go!
Luigi: ... Okay then.
They both make their way to the bottom and search for a Star. Mario then finds a door to his left.
Mario: Hey, Luigi, let's-a go in there!
Luigi: But there could be a giant man-eating Koopa in there!
Mario goes in anyway, and Luigi, who is scared to be alone, quickly follows. Inside they find a map and a hole.
Mario: Hey, let's-a go in-
Luigi: Don't tell me! You want us to go in that hole.
Mario: Yup.
Luigi: But there could be toxic gas in there!
Mario: Oh, come on, Luigi! That's the stupidest idea I've ever heard!
The Mario Bros. go in, and almost sufficate in the toxic gas inside.
Luigi: Told *cough* you. *cough*
Mario: Hey, look! *cough* A Metal *cough* Cap!
Mario runs over and gets it.
Luigi: But *cough* what *cough* about *cough* me? *cough*
Mario: Just follow me and jump as much as possible!
The Metal Mario and Choking Luigi wander around the cave for hours. Then Luigi shouts. Again.
Luigi: We're *cough* going *cough* in *cough* circles!!! *cough*
Mario: Hey, look! A ledge!
Luigi quickly jumps onto it, followed by Mario, and they spot a door.
Mario: I wonder where this leads...
Mario and Luigi, glad to leave the toxic maze, enter the door and find an elevator.
Luigi: This must lead to someplace good!
The Bros. get on the elvator, which goes up and into a room with the Star!
Mario: This place looks familiar...
Luigi: Who cares?! Just get the Star!
Mario gets the Star and the Star Ordeal follows.
Mario and Luigi: We're the Super Mario
Bros!
