Mario leads the way to the room with the Goomba paintings.
Mario: You go in the small painting. I'll take the big one.
Luigi: No way! You got to decide where we go, so I decide which painting I enter.
Mario: Rock paper scissors?
Luigi: Okay.
Both: Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot! - Scissors!
Mario: A tie. Go again!

Both: Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot!

Mario: Paper!
Luigi: Scissors! I WIN! YAY! What was that about again?
Mario: I dunno. Let's just get going.
Luigi: Okay.
Mario jumps in the small painting while Luigi jumps in the big painting. Luigi is immediately squashed by Mario's shoe.
Luigi: Ouchie.
Mario: Hmm. What exactly are we looking for this time?
Mario jumps to the next platform. Luigi, recovering, staggers through the nearby doorway.
Luigi: I really need a break from all this danger, Star hunting, and pain. Maybe I'll take a breather here in the lake.
Mario jumps across the platforms, unsuccessful in finding anything useful.
Mario: Huff huff...
Luigi: Ahh.
Mario: Huff huff puff...
Luigi: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Luigi climbs out of the water to talk to the Koopa. Mario jumps onto the ledge with rolling balls.
BOOF.
Mario: Ow ow ow!
Luigi: So, so then MAX says, he says...
Mario stumbles finally to the box where the balls come from. A red "1" appears.
Mario: *gasp, gasp* Okay, let's look for secret thingies. If it's not too much more painful... I wonder how Luigi's doing.
Luigi: Got any 7s?
Mario: Oh well. Must press on.
Mario decides to climb the mountain, since it's so pretty. He gets to the top and a red "2" appears.
Mario: Neato! Hm, this little watery area looks suspicious. I'll check back with it later, probably. (Not.)
Luigi: OW! Ok, ok, 33 arm-wrestle matches is enough for me. (... Because I lost them all... *sob*) I think I'll be off to see what Mario is doing.
Luigi steals the Koopa's shell and rides up the mountain. He stops on a narrow ledge that leads into a crevice. He sees Mario coming down the hill.
Luigi: MARIO!
Mario: ? Luigi?
Mario looks down, but he slips on the side of the mountain and squashes Luigi into the ledge. A red "3" appears.
Luigi: Why is it I only get hurt when you're around?
Mario: What?
Luigi: I'LL BE OVER THERE!
Mario: WHERE?!
Luigi: ACK! YOU DON'T NEED TO SHOUT!
Mario: BUT YOU GET TO!
Luigi: My ears... I'M GOING TO THE CANNON!
Mario: Me too!
Luigi: WHY? IT'S TOO SMALL FOR YOU!
Mario: It's not open, and I can see the Bob-omb Buddy.
Luigi: Shush.
The two make their way over to the cannon. A red "4" appears.
Luigi: OKAY, OPEN 'ER UP!
Mario: Bob-omb Buddy, do your stuff!
Bob-omb Buddy: Hi! I'll prepare the cannon for you!
Mario: Um, how many fingers am I holding up?
Bob-omb Buddy: Ready for blastoff! Hop into the cannon!
Mario: *sigh*
Luigi jumps into the cannon. Mario leans down to watch.
Luigi: I can't see! Move!
Mario: WHAT?!
Luigi: OW! BE QUIET! Oops...
Luigi accidentally shoots himself into Mario, who flies backwards into the opposite wall.
...CRASH. A red "5" appears, along with a Star. Mario is out cold!
Luigi: Serves him right... but now I gotta get that Star!
Luigi jumps back into the cannon.
Luigi: Now, I gotta aim this just right...
Luigi shoots out in a random direction.
Luigi: AIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!
Luigi miraculously aimed just right so that the air currents around the separated platforms bring him to a soft landing on the plateau bearing a pipe.
Luigi: All part of the plan. Yeah! Anyway, I'm tired of being so tiny. I keep getting-
Luigi is squashed by a giant Goomba.
Luigi: ...squashed. Owie...
Luigi jumps into the pipe. He jumps back out huge.
Luigi: If Mario were here and conscious, I'd show him... Wait, what's that?
In the distance, the familiar glint of a Star can be seen glinting from on top of a platform... glintily.
Luigi: How do I get that? It's so terribly far away! I need my blankie.
Luigi sits down and bawls for 20 hours.
20 hours later...
Luigi: I guess I'll try looking around here for anything useful.
45 hours and 327 smacks from tiny metal balls later...
Luigi: Y'know, maybe that enormous switch has something to do with it... maybe.
Luigi touches the switch slowly...
*CLICK* *PATHWAY TO STAR*
Luigi: ... OHHHHHHH.
Luigi runs over and grabs it.
Luigi: Here we go!
Luigi then trips and falls into the
abyss.
