Mario and Luigi enter the pipe with 115 Shines.

Luigi: It's-a 100-coin time!

Mario: Yeah!

Luigi: By the way, you made all the citizens in Brooklyn laugh at me while I was saving it!

Mario: That was when we were collecting Stars and not Shines!

Luigi: You'll pay for that!

Mario: Luigi, you didn't care about the laughter!

Luigi: It was five seconds...

Mario lands near a fruit tree.

Mario: I wonder what fruit Yoshi wants...

Luigi goes to the underside to get some coins.

Luigi: I should get 'em all!

Luigi collects the five coins above the green Mushroom and the six coins on all the other Mushrooms, making a total of 40.

Mario takes a pineapple to Yoshi and hatches him. Yoshi eats all the bees in the beehive, and at the end, a blue coin pops out. Mario picks up 19 coins this way.

Luigi: I wonder how Mario's doing?

Mario: Now the other beehive!

Mario makes Yoshi eat the other bees, earning another 25 coins.

Mario then tells Yoshi to eat the enemies. Once all of them have been eaten, he has collected another 13 coins, making a total of 97.

Mario dismounts Yoshi and pounds the nose of the Pianta statue. Then he pounds the empty tub, and gets the final coins.

FLUDD: Sensors indicate that the Shine Sprite is over there!

FLUDD2: Sensors indicate that Mario will get the Shine Sprite!

Luigi: No!

Mario grabs the Shine Sprite and does the Shine Dance.

Mario: Wahha!

Mario's Repeated Echo Voice: Wahha! Wahha! Wahha! Wahha! Wahha!

Luigi: Aww... At least I'll get to Corona Mountain before him!

Mario quickly leaves the pipe and enters Corona Mountain. Luigi comes out of the pipe behind him.

Luigi: DARN IT!

Luigi angrily enters Corona Mountain.
