Mario and Luigi are sitting at a table near the place were they did the Crate Game. The duo has not found anything to do in Delfino Plaza, so they're taking this as a time to rest and-
Pianta: Hey! You two! Want to help me get three durians now?
Mario: Hey! The narator wasn't done. And besides, is our reward a Shine?
Pianta: Um... no!
Mario: Then forget about it!
Pianta: How rude!
Luigi: Let's go into a building. It's too hot.
The brothers enter the Crate Game building in an attempt to cool off from the heat.
Mario: I think the audience could tell that! Now pipe down!
How rude!
Pianta: Hey there, fellas! What brings you here?
Luigi: We're hot and bored!
Pianta: Bored, eh? Well, why not play the Crate Game, version 2?
Mario: Wait! You got a second version to that game?
Pianta: And a new prize!
Mario: We're in!
The Pianta sets the crates up very high. The Brothers see they will need to do triple jumps to reach the top of the stacks.
Pianta: I will give you 30 seconds to break all the crates! Ready...
Mario: Not really...
Pianta: Get set...
Luigi: Hold on here!
Pianta: GO!
The Brothers give up and start smashing crates. It must have been harder than it seemed, because the Brothers had only destroyed four of the crates halfway through.
Mario: Luigi, it's time for a Super Ground Pound!
Mario and Luigi get to the top of the last two stacks of crates, jump really high (through the roof), and perform two Ground Pounds. With the great height of the Ground Pounds, their power doubled, and the Brothers broke through all the remaining crates but one.
Pianta: 5... 4...
Mario jumps toward the remaining crate.
Pianta: 3...
Mario lands on the crate and jumps quickly.
Pianta: 2...
Mario gets into a beetle position for the Ground Pound.
Pianta: 1...
Mario hits the crate as the buzzer goes off. Mario and Luigi approach the pale Pianta, look at his stopwatch, and turn pale, too. The remaining time is 00:000000001.
Pianta: You... did it... with a billionth of a second left. Amazing... but, at the same time, scary. Well, anyway, you did it! Here's your prize!
A Shine appears before Mario. Both Mario and Luigi grab it at the same time, followed by them doing the Shine Dance.
Mario and Luigi: Woohoo! On to the next
Shine!
