They look on to see a long land of goo.

Mario leaps into action, squirting the place clean. Luigi tries to catch up, but finds out FLUDD2 is empty.

Mario runs into a regular Piranha Plant, which he explodes by filling with water.
Mario: So gross…
Finally Luigi catches up with Mario, just in time to hear a booming voice.
Petey: EH HEHEHE! I am Petey the Piranha Plant. I’m here to take you down, Mario! I’ll… who’s he?
Luigi: I’m-a Luigi [I couldn’t resist], Mario’s Brother!
Petey: You shouldn’t be here! *puts on reading glasses and flips through script* Oh, there you are. Don’t worry, I’ll destroy you before you even get here!
Petey hacks a giant slimeball at the Brothers.
Mario: Quick, up the windmill!
Mario and Luigi quickly run up the windmill, dodging some inconveniently placed vines.

Mario, Luigi, and Petey all look down at the roof, which is giving way beneath their feat.
Mario: Ok… So I could stand to lose a few pounds.

Petey leans back and spits gooey slime at the heroes, who quickly dodge well, Mario does.
Luigi: Ew, you are gonna pay!
Luigi, without thinking, fires water into the angry flower.
Petey: OHHH, that gets me bloated!
Petey collapses.
Mario: Hooray, you stopped him cold! But how to finish him off?
Luigi: Hold on, I’ll get the script.
Luigi gets the script and starts reading.

Mario ground pounds Petey and they repeat two more times.
Petey: DARN YOU!!! I’LL BE BACK… AND YOU’RE GETTING THE BILL FOR THE ROOF!!!
Luigi: Whatever.
Petey turns into slime and disappears, leaving a Shine Sprite. Mario grabs it and does the dance.
Mario: That Petey Piranha is some character.
Luigi: Yeah, I doubt we’ll ever see
him
again.
