Mario and Luigi return from their last episode covered in slime and panting.
Mario: I could use a nice trip to Bianco Hills.
Luigi: Agreed.
They jump into the M on the statue.
Mario: Now that that punk Piranha is gone, we canould actually relax.
Luigi: Yeah, it’s not like it’s still covered in- *sees the town completely covered in slime* Oh.
Mario: Mamamia! Here we go again!
Luigi: Wasn’t that a song once?
Mario: Come on.
The brothers arrived at the seemingly deserted town, only to be greeted by some Swoopin' Stus.
Luigi: (squirting at the Stus) Take that!
Mario: And this- Ewww. I just stepped on something strange.
Luigi: We’re walking in slime.
Mario: Well, it's stranger.
Mario stoops down and sees a slightly crushed plant.
FLUDD: Try watering it.
Mario sprinkles it with water and all of a sudden a Pianta jumps out.
Pianta: Thank you for saving me from that slime. I almost-
Mario: Who did this?
Pianta: It was-
Mario: Did you see a guy that looks just like me?
Pianta: Behind you.
Luigi: Not me!
Pianta: Oh, not the point! You two have to go up that ridge now and destroy the thing that did this to us!
Luigi: (to Mario) The nameless Pianta is right.
Pianta: I have a name! It's-
Mario: Let's-a go!
Mario and Luigi run off as the Pianta throws a fit of rage and gets sucked into the slime again. When they reach the ledge…
Mario: I can’t tell who that is, can you?
Luigi: I can’t believe it, it’s Petey the Piranha Plant!
Mario: I thought you said we saw the last of him.
Luigi: First thing first, let's get- hey, he’s sleeping!
Mario: (whispering) Maybe if we can keep quiet, he’ll stay asleep and it’ll be easier to beat him.
A pink thing gets lodged in the FLUDD2.
Luigi: Hey! Get out of there! Take that!
Luigi starts filling the pink thing with water until it flies off and hits the snoozing plant.
Petey: Grr… five more minutes, Mommy… huh? Is that you, Mario and… the other guy!
Luigi: MY NAME IS LUIGI! LUIG-
Mario: (with his hand over Luigi’s mouth) No, this is only a dream. Go back to sleep.
Petey: Oh, ok. Zzzzzzz…
Luigi: Smooth thinking, brother.
Petey: Zzzzzz- HEY, WAIT. I DON’T HAVE DREAMS! I’M GONNA GET YOU!
Luigi: We’re never gonna get a break.
Mario: How? You’re stuck on that little island.
Petey starts flailing his petals like wings and starts flying. He gives an evil smile.
Mario: *gulp* Yeah, that’ll work.
Mario, Luigi, FLUDD, and FLUDD2: RUN!!!
Mario and Luigi run with Petey in hot pursuit. Mario tries to squirt him down, but Petey dodges it. Then he hurls a slime ball which misses Mario but gets Luigi head on. The force causes him to slip and fall face-first. Petey starts laughing hysterically.
Luigi: Ew…
Mario: Hey, he stopped moving.
Mario shoots Petey and the cold water causes him to fall. Mario then fills him with water and ground pounds his tummy.
Petey: No fair!
Mario: Hey Luigi! Make Petey laugh! Then I can squirt him down.
Luigi puts on his best comedy act, but fails to impress the incoming flower. Luigi then falls backward into the brook, and comes out dripping. This still doesn't work, however, as Petey had his eyes closed and wasn’t looking. But this means Petey isn't looking to dodge attacks, so Mario shoots him down, fills him with H20, and pounds his stomach again.
Petey: That won’t work anymore! Stus, attack!
A whole bunch of Stus come out of the slime and are about to pounce, but since they have the IQ of something a man-eating plant spit up, Luigi takes one step to the side and they all fall into the water except one, which Luigi lightly kicks in.
Petey: NOOO! I gotta fly away!
Mario: Not again.
Mario grabs on to Petey’s head and uses the hover nozzle to fill his mouth.
Petey: Moisture!
Luigi takes the honor of pounding the navel, and Petey starts to liquidize.
Petey: I’LL BE BACK! BE SURE OF IT! AND THEN I'LL-
Mario puts a rock in Petey’s mouth.
Luigi: Thank you.
Petey turns into slime and takes all of the other slime with him, revealing a Shine Sprite. Mario takes it and does the dance.
Luigi: Okay, now I’m sure we’ll never
see him again. Let’s scram before that Pianta comes back.
