Mario and Luigi reappear in Delfino Plaza after reviving the sunflowers in Pinna Park.
Luigi: Hey, Mario, let's go get a smoothie real quick! I'm thristy!
Mario: Ok!
As they are rounding the corner of a building, they see Shadow Mario in front of the Pianta Statue carrying a giant egg.
Mario: It's a Yoshi Egg! What's he doing with it?
Shadow Mario runs off at the first sight of the Brothers. The Brothers chase after them, spraying him each chance they got. Evenually, he trips, drops the egg, and disappears. Mario and Luigi look at the egg and wondered how to hatch Yoshi.
Yoshi: Bananas... Yoshi want bananas!
Luigi runs off to the market, grabs some bananas, and returns to Yoshi. A tongue comes out of the shell and eats the bananas, and Yoshi pops out of the egg.
Mario: Sweet! I got first dibs!
Mario jumps on Yoshi and nearly cripples him. Mario, being the overweight baboon he is, gets off immediately.
Mario: I think I should consider dieting...
Yoshi: You THINK?!
Luigi: Let's have him rest. He's probably tired.
Yoshi runs up to a building top and falls asleep.
Luigi: Sometimes I hate being right...
Mario and Luigi check where Yoshi is
and leave. After all, they might need him later.
