Mario and Luigi have just got back from Bianco Hills.
Mario: I... am... so... tired... and... the... cannon... to... the... island's... park... is... broken...
Luigi: Must... get... one...single... solitary... break...
Cop: Oh no you don't!
Mario: Pleeeeeeeeease!
Cop 2: Oh, alright. Why don't you go to Gelato Beach?
Mario and Luigi: Gelato Beach?!
Cop: Oh, that's right. you haven't been there before.
Mario: Um, guys, isn't the lighthouse supposed to be sticking out from this view?
Cops: Wha?!
Mario: Let's check it out. *sigh*
Mario and Luigi find black graffiti where the lighthouse should be.
Mario and Luigi: Piranha Plant.
They both spray the middle until a giant goopy Piranha Plant comes out. Then Mario sprays water into its mouth. After three sprays, it goes back in its graffiti... and comes back out. They spray it two more times.
Piranha: ROAR! Retreat!
The graffiti disolves away and Blue Toad comes out. The lighthouse appears and Shadow Mario's M mark is on it.
Mario: Where does it go to, FLUDD?
FLUDD: My sensors indicate that it leads to the Gelato Beach.
Brothers: BEACH?!
The Mario Bros. jump right in and land on an island. They meet a Pianta there.
Pianta: Hey, you! Don't get the water dirty here or step on the Dune Buds.
Mario: What are Dune Buds?
Pianta: You see that plant over there?
Mario: Uh, yeah...
Pianta: Those are Dune Buds. If you water them, some strange things happen.
Mario: What?
Pianta: It's random. Every Dune Bud does a diferent thing.
Mario: Hey, look at that one!
Mario points to a Dune Bud near a circle of sand.
Luigi: Let's spray it!
The Brothers head to the Dune Bud, spray it, and a sand castle appears on the circle of sand.
Mario: Get to it!
Mario and Luigi run to the sand castle and notice that it is starting to crumble.
Luigi: Hurry!
Mario and Luigi are too big to run through now, so they slide right through. They find themselves in midair.
Mario: Hah?
Shadow Mario zips by and grabs the FLUDDs.
Luigi: Yo, man, what's your problem?!
FLUDD: Mario. Luigi. Help u-
Shadow Mario disappears, taking FLUDD and FLUDD2 with him. Finally, Mario and Luigi land.
Mario: Hey, Luigi! I see a Shine Sprite up ahead!
Luigi: It looks like we have to use these sand blocks as a pathway!
Luigi steps on one and it starts to crumble.
Luigi: Aah!
Luigi jumps onto an orange block, which didn't crumble.
Mario: Let's go!
The Bros. keep walking on the blocks and get to the orange ones. They finally reach a building of sand blocks.
Mario: Let's climb it.
Mario and Luigi climb up and see a Shine Sprite at the top. Mario grabs it and does the Shine Dance.
Mario: Woohoo!
Luigi: Onto the next Shine!
Meanwhile...
Shadow Mario: These FLUDDs are awesome. Oh no! I dropped them.
The FLUDDs land near Mario and Luigi.
They put them back on and appear in Delfino Plaza, heading out for the
next Shine Sprite.
