Mario and Luigi jump into the portal on the lighthouse. When they get to Gelato Beach, a giant angry green Wiggler is rampaging around the beach.
Mario: Mamamia! What happened?
FLUDD: It appears that this Wiggler has gotten cranky since you burned his sleeping spot on the Sun Temple tower.
FLUDD2: And now it's taking its anger on the people of Gelato Beach!
Luigi: How can we stop it?
Mario thinks for a moment, until he sees the Wiggler run near a Dune Bud.
Mario: Wait a macaroni minute! If we squirt those Dune Buds, then maybe those things that pop out of the sand will give him an unexpected delay!
Luigi: Uh, you and FLUDD just go do it, and I'll, uh, just protect the sand on this spot!
Mario grabs Luigi's ear and walks off. Later, they are now getting chased by Wiggler.
Luigi: I told you I should stay on that spot!
FLUDD2: Maybe if you and Mario split up, you can cover more ground and get two Dune Buds at the same time!
FLUDD: Hey! I'm supposed to be the smart one!
FLUDD2: At least I gave a suggestion!
FLUDD: Why I oughta...
FLUDD and FLUDD2 attempt to squirt each other, but they hit Mario and Luigi, causing water to get in their eyes.
Mario: Ackpth! I can't see!
Luigi: Me neither!
They both trip and the Wiggler runs over them.
FLUDD: I give up. We can both be smart.
FLUDD2: Truce.
Mario: Will you two just quit fooling around?!
Mario and Luigi run to two different part of the beach and get the Dune Buds to pop. Wiggler slams right into a pyramid Luigi made and he falls over.
Luigi: Now what?
FLUDD2: Scanning... (Time slows down while he scans, yet he's going in the same speed. Time resumes.) I have put an arrow over where you should ground pound him!
Luigi does so, and Wiggler whimpers while he tries to get up. After he does, he stomps angrily as steam comes out of his nostrils.
Luigi: Mamamia! He sure hasn't got a cold! He's got hot gas!
(Rimshot)
Mario: Knock off the puns, Luigi!
Wiggler speeds up a little. Mario is able to get a turtle-shaped Dune Bud to pop out. Wiggler smashes into it, and Mario ground pounds the segment on Wiggler. Wiggler speeds up again, and Luigi finally gets the last hit. Wiggler transforms into sand, sinks, and a Shine Sprite comes out.
Mario: It's mine!
Luigi: No, I got the most pounds!
Mario: Yeah, on your weight.
Luigi: I meant on Wiggler!
Mario: Well, you wanted to stay on that sandy spot!
FLUDD and FLUDD2 squirt at Mario and Luigi's faces.
Mario: Sorry, bro. Care to do the hon-
Luigi already touched the Sprite.
Mario: -ors?
Luigi does the Shine Sprite dance.
Luigi: On to the next Shine Sprite!
Mario: *grumble*
