Luigi and Waluigi unlock the door leading to what looks like some kind of Storeroom. Like all the other rooms, it is dark. They turn on their flashlights.
Waluigi: Great, another dark room!
Luigi: What did you expect, it's a haunted mansion!
A pink ghost suddenly appears.
Luigi: I got it!
Luigi flashes the light at the pink ghost, then sucks it up.
Luigi: Easy as pie!
Waluigi: Don't you mean "cake"?
Luigi: No, you're thinking of "piece of cake".
Waluigi: You think you're so smart, don't you!
Luigi: Well, actually...
A red ghost, similar to the one they saw in the Bathroom, appears.
Luigi: Oh no, it's one of those grabby ghosts!
Waluigi: Oh, relax! It's not like they can hurt you! They just grab you... ACK!
The red ghost grabs Waluigi while he is talking, then squeezes him.
Waluigi: OWOWOWOWOW! That hurts!
Luigi: Relax, just remember what E. Gadd said!
Waluigi remembers, then tries to shake the ghost off with all his might! The ghost eventually lets go, and as soon as it does, Luigi immediately sucks it up.
Waluigi: *pant, pant*
Luigi: Maybe E. Gadd was right, maybe you do need more practice...
Waluigi: SHUT UP! I don't need...
Before he can finish, a pink and red ghost appears!
Luigi: You take the pink one, I'll take the red one!
Waluigi: Right.
They capture both of the ghosts and actually work together for a change! The lights go on, but nothing else happens.
Waluigi: ... Aren't we supposed to get a key or something?
Luigi: We'd better look around.
They begin to search for anything suspicious. Waluigi finds a few more coins in a bucket next to a broom in the corner, and Luigi checks the boxes. They don't seem to find anything until Luigi looks into the mirror in the room.
Waluigi: This isn't the time to be looking at yourself!
Luigi: I'm not! Look at that!
Luigi points at a button reflected in the mirror. They look across to room and saw that button, with a sign under it that says "DON'T PUSH!" They both walk up to it to get a better look at it.
Luigi: What do you think it does?
Waluigi: Only one way to find out!
Luigi: No! Wait!
But it is too late. Waluigi pushes the button, then suddenly, the wall right next to them begins to move!
Waluigi: AHHHH! THE WALLS ARE MOVING IN ON US!
Luigi: No, that one is moving back!
Waluigi: ... I knew that.
The wall moves all the way back, revealing something on the ground. They both walk up to it.
Luigi: What's this?
Waluigi: Beats me...
Luigi: It kinda looks like... a chamber...
Waluigi: Hey, look!
There was a poster on the wall. It has a picture of what looks like something behind bars. Right below it is the word, "BEWARE!"
Luigi: Oh my gosh!
Waluigi: Yeah, weird...
Luigi: No, not that, just look at all the dust on that thing...
Waluigi: DO YOU ALWAYS THINK ABOUT HYGIENE? Sheesh! Okay, Mr. Neat-Freak! Just let me clean this up for you!
Waluigi takes out his Poltergust 3000 2 and sucks up the poster, revealing a button.
Luigi: Another one?
Waluigi: I'll take care of this!
Waluigi presses the button, then the chamber on the floor opens. A little white mist floats out. Luigi and Waluigi are walking up to it, when...
Boos: BLAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!
Luigi and Waluigi: (with great fear) YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
A bunch of pale, white Boos come flying out of the chamber! One of them seems to have a crown.
Boos: Who's there? Who dares disturb our sleep? Oh ho! It's Luigi and Waluigi! Looks guys! Luigi and Waluigi are finally here! Listen up you two, we're gonna do what we did to your brothers... only worse!
The Boos began to close in on them until...
Boo: Hey, what's that on your back...? It's E. Gadd's Poltergust 3000 1 and 2! Everybody SCRAM!
All the Boos fly out of the room. Luigi and Waluigi are still shaking in great surprise, until Luigi's Gameboy Horror goes off. Luigi turns it on.
E. Gadd: Luigi! Waluigi! Are you ok?
Waluigi: Ugh. Define ok...
E. Gadd: That was them! Those were the ones who released all of the ghosts from the paintings in my gallery! Those fiends! I wondered where King Boo and his gang had gone. So, they were hiding in the mansion all along... Thanks for flushing them up, fellas!
Waluigi: It was me! I did it! I pressed the button and found them!
E. Gadd: Oh, did you?
Waluigi: (proudly) Yup!
E. Gadd: Well, I'm tickled you found 'em, but... perhaps it would've been better if you hadn't, well... let every single one escape! Just a thought.
Waluigi begins to lose a bit of his stance; his mustache droops.
E. Gadd: Ah, well, water under the bridge. Anyway, you two should come back to the Lab for a sec.
Luigi: Okay, we'll be right there.
Luigi turns his Gameboy Horror off, then both head out of the Storeroom back to the Lab. When they arrive, E. Gadd has a lot to say.
E. Gadd: I've been waiting for you, Luigi and Waluigi.
Luigi: Yup. So what did you want to tell us?
E. Gadd: Well, this is probably just a theory, but your brothers must have been taken by that gang of Boos... poor fellers...
Waluigi: WHAT?!
Luigi: OH NO!
Waluigi: What did they do to them?!
Luigi: It's not possible!
Waluigi: They didn't...
E. Gadd: Calm down! And don't talk crazy like that! It's not like they're going to eat them! But what became of them, hm? Odd that they haven't come back.
Waluigi: Wow, you really know how to cheer up a guy!
E. Gadd: Just listen to what I have to say! Now, common theory holds that Boos grow in strength when they travel in numbers. They must somehow combine their powers too... Their power likely overwhelmed your brothers. If you aim is to save Mario and Wario, there's but one way to do it: capture each Boo and slowly weaken the group's power!
Luigi: All right, then!
Waluigi: Yeah, we can to that!
E. Gadd: Wait, hold on, I still have more to tell! See, Boos, as they're name implies, like to hide and then jump out to scare people. You've got your work cut out finding 'em...
Luigi: Oh no...
Waluigi: Well that's just great! It's just bad news after bad news with you! Don't you have any good news?
E. Gadd: Heh heh heh. Actually I do! Those Gameboy Horrors I gave you have a secret function!
Luigi and Waluigi: Secret function?
E. Gadd: Yes! I knew it'd come in handy one day, so I developed it secretly. I call it the Boo Radar! The Boo Radar will flash red when something round like a Boo is nearby. Use it to search everywhere, my boys!
Luigi: YEAH!
Waluigi: You got it!
E. Gadd: All right then, sonnies. Don't go tuckering yourselfs out. Relax, and just try to get those Boos one at a time. The trick is using the your Poltergust 3000s 1 and 2! Don't forget now!"
Luigi: Don't worry, we won't!
Waluigi: Now let's go!
E. Gadd: Hold on, Waluigi! Luigi told me you need more practice catching ghosts! You both are going to the Training Room to get in tip-top, ghost-hunting shape!
Luigi: What? Why me, too?
E. Gadd: You both could use the practice! Now let's get to it!
Luigi and Waluigi: Awwwwwww...
And so Luigi and Waluigi go to the training
room for some training. They're going to need it, for the journey to save
Mario and Wario is going to get harder and harder...
