In the previous chapters, Mario and Co and Bowser and Co. started an adventure that could change their lives forever. They are in search of a Green Stone that has the power to grant any wish. This stone is more powerful than the Star Rod because it can't be stopped when put into a mortal's hand. Yoshina and Yoshi joined Mario and Co. in the beginning chapters. Later Mario uncovered two numbers of the code needed to access the Green Stone. Those numbers are 5 and 8. They also learned the code Shiver to gain access to the Ice Place. With this in mind, we join the Marios leaving Wonderland...
Mario: Bye-a-bye!!!
Peach: Take care!
Toadsworth: Zzz...
Peach: Toadsworth! Say goodbye!!!
Toadsworth: Oh wha... Okay! Um... Goodbye, people!
Peach: Good enough.
Luigi: See ya later, King!
King: Thank you very much. Here is a map on how to get to the island. But be careful!
Yoshina: Why must we be careful?
King: Um... Nothing, you may go now.
Yoshi: Yoshi smell something suspicious.
Mario: Excuse me.
Toadsworth: We must be going. This cold air is hurting the princess.
Peach: Here you go again, Toadsworth. I DON'T CARE ABOUT COLD AIR!!!
Luigi: I think you just rhymed.
Peach: That's it!!! Everyone in the car NOW!!!
King: I'd better go inside. BYE!!!
So the Marios start driving to Star Harbor. This is where they will take a boat or cruise ship to Skeleton Island!
Peach: A cruise ship!!! EEEKKK!!!
Toadsworth: I do say, this shall warm my bones right up!
Mario: They better have pasta!
Captain: Why yes, we do. Would you like some now?
Mario: This is a dream come true!!!
Luigi: Mario, calm yourself! Do you want me to get the leash?
Mario: No.
Luigi: Good, now get on the boat!
Yoshina: Come on, Yoshi, the boat leaves in five minutes!
Yoshi: But look at all this FRUIT!
Yoshina: I bet there is more on the ship.
Yoshi: YOSHI coming!
Chapter 7: Set Sail
The horn sounds and the ship makes its way into the ocean. They are only four days away from the island. But these four days will involve scary happenings and a cruise that they may never forget.
Day 1
Captain: Koopas and Koopettes, welecome to Mushroom Cruises! The best cruiseline in the whole kingdom!
Mario Gang: Hurray!!!
Captain: Thank you. This is First Mate Kroopa and Second Mate Kooykoop. I'm sure they'll serve you in any way whatsoever!
Mario: Good then I'll have some- Mmph!
Luigi covers Mario's mouth.
Luigi: Shh! Mario, be quiet!
Captain: As I was saying, this is a four-day cruise so ENJOY IT!!!
Peach: Good, then I think I'll hang out by the pool.
Toadsworth: I'll go take a nap in the room.
Mario: That buffet table looks pretty good.
Luigi: Mario, wait up!!!
Yoshi: Yoshi go eat fruit.
Yoshina: Right behind you, honey dumpling!
So Mario and Co. start having a good time until...
Peach: Hmm. I wonder why I'm the only one by the pool?
Peach starts reading a book. There is a bubbling sound coming from the pool.
Peach: Hmm. What was that noise? Anyone there? Guess it was nothing.
The bubbles sound again but this time closer.
Peach: Mario, is that you?
Just then something covered in seaweed pops out of the water..
Peach: Oh Mario, why must you scare me like that?
Mario: I felt like it.
Peach: But I thought you were with Luigi at the buffet table?
Mario: Luigi is getting the food and reserving a table. I just wanted to play a prank.
Peach: That is just so not like you.
Just then a hand pops out of the water and grabs Mario's leg. He is pulled into the water and disappears.
Peach: MARIO!!!
Peach leans over the side but sees nothing.
Peach: I'd better go get Toadsworth and warn the others.
Peach runs to Toadsworth. Meanwhile, Luigi is gathering all the food.
Luigi: Mario has to play a prank. So he decides to leave me with all the food...
Luigi takes everything to the table and sits down. He feels a weird tickle on his leg.
Luigi: Mario, is that you under the table?
Luigi lifts the tablecloth and then a scream is heard!
Peach: Oh no! Not Luigi!
Peach starts frantically knocking on the door for Toadsworth.
Toadsworth: What is it, Peach?
Peach: Mario was grabbed! Oh, it's horrible!
Toadsworth: Slow down. What now?
Peach: I was by the pool, then Mario popped out and was then grabbed and taken underwater.
Toadsworth: What, Master Mario? Quickly, come in, please!
Peach heads over to the window and looks out of it. Toadsworth opens the closet to find a nice suit to wear for dinner.
Toadsworth: Be right... OH MY!!!
A figure grabs Toadsworth and pulls him into the closet.
Peach: NO!!! NOT TOADSWORTH!!! But this can't be! The only ones remaining would be...
Yoshi: Yoshi think fruit taste funny.
Yoshina: Now Yoshi, you know that fruit must be organic.
Yoshi: Yoshina right. See label?
Yoshina: Um, yes, I guess... Here, let me go wash up in the bathroom. I'll be right back.
Yoshi: Yoshi wait right here.
Yoshina enters the bathroom. Steam fills the air since the shower has been running. Yoshina wipes the mirror off and sees a figure in the backround!
Yoshina: Mario? EEKKK!!!
Yoshi: Hmm? What was that noise? Yoshi go check.
Yoshi creaks the door open...
Yoshi: Yoshina? Where are you?
The steam clears and there is nothing to be seen.
Yoshi: Must have been Yoshi's imagination. Oh well, she must have already gotten out already.
Yoshi walks to the door, opens it, and is immediently swept off the ground by the figure.
Peach: Oh no! I'm all alone. I must go speak to the captain!
Peach enters the captain's room and sees nothing.
Peach: Wait, this doesn't add up. Who is driving the ship?
Day 2:
Peach wakes up in the captain's room only to be startled by all of her friends.
Peach: Wow! You're all back!!!
Luigi: Yes, um... I guess!
Toadsworth: Hmm I say!
Yoshi: Yoshi full.
Peach: What did you say, Yoshi?
Yoshi: Umm... Yoshi hungry!
Yoshina: Silly Yoshi!
Mario: Hi!
Peach: At least I'm not alone anymore. But what happened to you guys?
Luigi: What do you mean?
Peach: You all vanished, remember?
Toadsworth: I don't recall.
Peach: Oh well, let's go eat!
Mario: No, not right now. I'm not really hungry.
Peach: But Mario, you're always hungry. Wait- What on Plit is going on?!
Yoshi: JOIN US!!!
Peach: That's so lame. Wha?!
Peach is warped down a pipe into a cage with all her old friends tied up.
Peach: Mario, Toadsworth, Luigi, Yoshina, Yoshi!!! Is it really you?!
Luigi: Of course, but what happened to us? Why are we here?
Mario: Mamamia, my head hurts.
Peach: I don't know.
Shadow Mario: Then you're lightheaded!
Mario Gang: *gasp*
Mario: Potato carrots!!!
Shadow Mario takes of his disguise.
Luigi: Bowser Jr? WHY?!
Jr: I made you come on this cruise so I could destroy you all except Peach, and keep Peach for King Bowser. You see, I got into the cruise business a long time ago. I finally learned how to take on different forms, like the captain for example. Also the guests on the ship were just my friend Duplighosts who took on human forms. And the evil Mario and Luigi were just other Duplighosts.
Toadsworth: Let us go, you insane madman!!!
Luigi: What do you plan to do with us?
Jr: Well my radar picked up Bowser or King Dad on an island in the south Cheep Ocean. It is called Skeleton Island. Once there, I will search for Bowser or King Dad and show him to you. Then I shall let him deal with you. We should arrive in two days, or early morining on the fourth day.
Yoshi: Yoshi hungry though.
Jr: Fine, I'll bring you food.
Luigi: Good idea, Yoshi! You can make Jr. get some food while we escape.
Yoshina: But we are locked up in a cage. How will we break through?
Luigi: Oh Mario, look at those bars. Don't they look like pasta strings?
Mario: YUM!!!
Mario starts gnawing on the bars.
Toadsworth: Master Mario, consider your dental health!
Peach: Grrrr...
Toadsworth: Umm... Just make sure you brush your teeth.
Mario finally gnaws through the bars and they all run toward the life boats. They all get in and lower themselves into the water.
Luigi: Yes! We have done it!
Peach: Shh! Not so loud, Jr. might hear you!
Luigi: Oh, sorry.
Yoshina: But what about food? Who know how long we may be in these boats?
Yoshi: Yoshi save some apples and peaches from fruit table.
Mario: And I stole a box of pasta.
Luigi: How will we cook the pasta?
Peach: I have a black pan. You know, from Super Smash Bros. Melee? I whack people with it.
Toadsworth: Peach, you are our lifesaver!!!
Mario: I like those candy lifesavers.
Luigi: Mario, that was random, very random.
Peach: Can we leave already?
Luigi: Yes, we set sail (on small moter boats) now!!!
The Marios leave the ship and head for Skeleton island. Once there, they will go to the opposite side of where the ship shall port.
Peach: I hope Skeleton Island is easy. I can't afford another mishap.
Meanwhile...
Jr: I'm back, everyone! Hmmm... NO!!! No matter, I bet they are going to Skeleton Island too because that is where the code is. I shall stop them there!!!
Day 3:
Toadsworth: I think we are out of pasta.
Luigi: Hey everyone, I think Mario caught a fish! Um... with his mouth.
Peach: Well, he can have it. Who knows what Mario eats and what he just left on that fish?
Mario: I'm-a Mario!!!
Luigi: Hey guys, I think I can see an island!!!
Yoshi: Yoshi think that is Skeleton Island.
Yoshina: Yoshina agree. And I'm hungry.
Toadsworth: Oh my! I say, what is that in the water over there?
Yoshi: SH-SH-SHARK!!!
Yoshina faints.
Yoshi: Sorry for yelling that, Yoshina.
Yoshina: What? Where am I?
Mario: It's a shark-a!
Yoshina faints again.
Luigi: Mario!
Mario: Sorry-a.
Peach: No, silly, it is only a porpous.
Porpous: Eeep eeep!
Mario: It says we are leaking gas.
Luigi: Wait, you speak...
The engine shuts off.
Luigi: ...Porpous...
Toadsworth: It will take us too long if we try to row to shore.
Yoshina: We can ride the Porpouses!
Peach: Aww, but I will get my dress wet...
Luigi: Just get on the Porpous, Peach.
Peach: You don't have to be so rude, Luigi.
(The Marios hop on the group of Porpouses. They are riding at fast speeds toward the island.)
Day 4:
Yoshi: Yoshi fall asleep on Porpous.
Luigi: I think we all managed to fall asleep somehow.
Peach: Wow! Look! The island is only about ten minutes away!
Yoshina: What a beautiful island, too!
Mario: There better be pasta or coconuts.
Toadsworth: Master Mario, what island wouldn't have coconuts?
Mario: Coconut Island doesn't have any coconuts.
Toadsworth: You are going to the doctor, and dentist, when we get home.
Mario: I hate the dentist!
Peach: We are here, but wait! There is the cruise ship!
Yoshina: What do we do?
Luigi: We sneak the opposite way of the ship.
Mario: Then what?
Luigi: I don't know.
Mario: Then what?
Luigi: Fine, we will head into that
cave over there. Maybe that is where the code is.
So the Marios head toward a cave. Inside the cave will uncover many answers.
Luigi: So, who wants to go in first?
Mario: Not me, I went first into the Forest of Doom!
Peach pushes Mario into the cave.
Peach: Oh, clumsy me. Sorry, Mario.
Mario: Grrrrr... If I don't come back alive, I'll blame you!
Toadsworth: Don't worry, Master Mario, we shall be behind you all the way!
Mario: Fine. Here goes something...
Mario takes a deep breath and walkes deeper into the damp cave.
Mario: It's getting kind of dark, don't you think, guys?
Peach: Oh, Mario, where are you?
Mario: Oh, I'm right in front of you.
Peach: Oh, here you are. When did you get so cold?
Mario: I'm hot, actually.
Peach: Then... um... I don't even want to know what I'm touching.
Skeleton: BOOHAHAHAHAHYAAAHBOOO!!!
Yoshina and Peach faint.
Luigi: What are you people?!
Skeleton: Hello, my name is Skeley, I am the leader of the Skeleton Tribe. What brings you here?
Skeley turns on a light..
Luigi: We are looking for the next code. It is a number.
Skeley: Oh yeah, didn't your grandfather-
Mario: OUR!!!
Skeley: Whatever, anyway, your grandfather leave you a stone to grant any wish?
Luigi: Yes, and we need the code so just tell us.
Skeley: Yes, it is in a treasure south of here. But some people showed up a while ago, so be careful. The treasure is in a giant rock.
Yoshi: Yoshi thank you!
Skeley: We eat Yoshis.
Everyone runs out of the cave. Yoshi and Yoshina are first.
Yoshina: Good thing we are out of there.
Peach: How are we going to get past Bowser and them?
Luigi: Fight our way through, I guess.
Mario: Let's-a go then!!!
Toadsworth: Then everybody get ready!
They all head toward Bowser. Bowser sees this and prepares his army. A fierce battle uproars. Fire is sent everywhere.
Bowser: So we meet again, Mario!!!
Mario: Cheese!
Bowser: Just remember you can't stop me!
Mario: Cheesey Cheese!!!
Bowser: ROAR!!!
Peach exits the battle and finds the big rock. Ludwig sees this and grabs her.
Ludwig: What do you think you're doing, Missy!
Peach whcks Ludwig with a golf club.
Peach: Never touch a lady!!!
Ludwig: Oh my...
Ludwig falls to the ground. Iggy rushes over to help.
Iggy: Hmmm... Ludwig, if you can hear me, what is the root of a complex molecule divided by 2 squared by a hundred over x =...
Ludwig: Ooh... Pretty stars!!!
Iggy: Oh goodness... What to do...?
Then the Skeletons come over. Everyone stops and stares.
Everyone: *gasp*
Skeley: What? Never seen a skeleton before!? We are here to help Mario!
Bowser: Cheaters! No helping Mario!
Skeley: Oh well!
Skeleys army destroys Bowser's army easily.
Peach: That was too quick.
Toadsworth: I agree.
Luigi: Wow, Peach! You already have the treasure!
Peach: Yep. Let's open it!
Bowser: Curse you, Mario people! Come on, kids, let's go back to Ice Place. I'm sure Mario will find the last code here and come to the stone. Then we shall blackmail him there. I will tell you my plan on the way. TO THE SHIP!!!
Koopalings: Right away, Dad!!!
Luigi: Here goes nothing!
