Mario and Wario are flying through space and land in a small flowerbed.
Voice: Welcome to the galaxy.
Wario: Where are we?
Mario: Look over there!
2 squid-like things called Space Bloopers are in front of a house.
Wario: Let’s get 'em!
The -arios spin into the Space Bloopers, which die. The Mario Cousins collect the Star Bits.
Mario: Let’s head to that pipe.
They enter the pipe. Inside is a ? Coin.
Wario: BIG COIN! I’LL BE RICH!
Wario goes up the ramp and grabs the coin, then rainbow notes start to appear.
Mario: Grab them, Wario!
Wario runs around, grabbing notes as they make the underground background music. At the last note, a 1-Up appears.
Mario: I’ll take it!
Mario eats the 1-Up. They leave.
Wario: I wonder what’s at the top of this road…
They go up the road and find a Luma.
Luma: My friends are ahead! Hurry!
With that he transforms into a Sling Star and launches them into a Launch Star that sends then to the next planet.
Mario: Hey look! A Star Chip!
He collects it.
Wario: These jelly-centered boulders don’t look so tough!
He smashes them with his spin and they give out Star Bits. Mario has set up the Launch Star and they launch to the next planet.
Wario: I’ll check the bottom.
He finds these blue things that latch onto him. He spins them off and collects the Star Bits. He grabs the big coin and Star Bits line up in a path.
Mario: More enemies.
He kills a Space Blooper and Piranha Plant and creates a vine that he and Wario use to climb to the next planet.
Mario: What’s that?
Mario sees a pipe. He goes down it to see some floor switches. He presses them and it forms a bridge to more switches. He hits those and a Launch Star appears. He launches to the next planet. Meanwhile, Wario is hitting a green balloon into boulders.
Wario: I think I’ve found a new punching bag!
He finally gets bored and sees a giant Piranha Plant. He whacks the balloon and it hits the mega-weed. It dies and Wario takes the Star Bits and uses a vine to get too the next planet. Mario and Wario meet up and see moving footprints.
Wario: I smell money!
He spins on the prints to find a Moneybags. He hits it and takes its Star Bits. They kill 3 more Space Bloopers and take the Launch Star in a crystal. They land on a giant egg and crack it. A stegosaurus-type tail comes out of it.
Wario: Wow. I’ve been putting on pounds. I could never crack a big egg like that before.
Mario spins the tail. It clonks the shell and a prehistoric Piranha Plant comes out.
Dino Piranha: Roooooooaaaaar!
Mario: Mamamia!
DP starts rushing at the Mario cousins. In his panic, Wario runs into DP’s tail and it clonks DP on the head. He turns red and gets really angry.
DP: ROOOAAR!
DP starts charging even faster. Mario jumps over him and clonks him with his tail again.
DP: *pant, pant*
Wario tries to make the finishing blow, but…
Mario: STOP!
Wario: What?
Mario: Look at him.
Indeed, DP looks very tame and sorry.
Mario: Can we keep him?
DP pants in happiness at the sound of the idea.
Wario: Well… I guess.
Mario: Yippee!
DP make a wait here motion.
Mario: Now what’s he up to?
DP brings his Power Star to Wario.
Wario: For me? This is very kind. I love golden objects.
Wario and Mario do the Power Star dance, with DP in the mix.
Wario: Take that, losers!
Mario: Here we go!
DP lets out a
triumphant roar.
