Mario and Wario are seen flying towards the Honeyhive kingdom. When they get there they see the place swarming with Mandibugs!
Mario: I’ve heard of bugging people, but this is ridiculous!
Wario: Seriously, these bugs have got to go!
They start squishing the bugs, and pretty soon only 2 are left.
Wario: All right, let’s get them!
Mario performs a very well-executed triple backflip and lands right on a bug, squishing it.
Wario: That’s nothing. Watch this.
Wario jumps 1,000 feet into the air and falls down like a meteor with so much speed that he squishes the mandibug. But then he slips on its shell and falls flat on his face. Mario breaks into hysterical laughter.
Wario: Oh, haha. Very funny.
They then go to the hollow log tube to find the queen bee.
Queen: Oh! It’s the new bees! Listen, I really need your help. The neighbors are causing trouble again. I believe they may have a Power Star.
Wario: Good enough for me! Let’s get going!
They take a Launch Star and land on a planet with a giant tree in the middle. The giant Bugaboom then lands behind them.
Wario: That’s a big bug.
Mario ground pounds it as if it were any other Mandibug. Bugaboom collapses, then gets up and starts flying and shooting bombs. One hits Wario, thus shooting him up into the air. When Bugaboom makes his next turn, Wario lands on him and hurts him. Bugaboom falls to the ground and collapses, then gets really mad, turns red, and launches into the air again.
Wario: Now what do we do?
Mario: We use these!
He pulls out 2 Bee Mushrooms, and they transform into their bee forms.
Wario: All right! Time to kick some big bug butt!
Wario flies into the air, lands on a honey wall, flies above Bugaboom, and finally sends him down for the count. A Star appears where Bugaboom once was.
Mario: This one’s mine.
As Mario goes
to grab it, Wario shoulder-rams him into the tree. Wario then grabs the
Star, and they fly back to the Observatory.
