They get to the galaxy and look around to see only ice platforms.

Mario looks around and sees a Star at the very last platform away from them.
Mario: Isn't that where the other one was?
They take one step towards the next platform, when-

Cosmic Mario comes down to the platform.
Cosmic Mario: I'm back! And this time, I'm going to win!
Mario: You think you can win this time?
Wario: It's two against one, we will obviously win!
Cosmic Mario: Ha! But this time I brought a friend!
Cosmic Wario comes down from the Cosmic Comet.
Cosmic Wario: Ha ha ha! Now you two have to beat both of us!

Mario: HEY! Cheaters! No head starts!
Wario: Forget that, let’s go!
Mario and Wario start chasing the Cosmic -arios across the platforms.
Mario: We'll never catch them now!
They come to a dead end.
Mario: Where did they go?
Wario sees more platforms above them.
Wario: Up there!
They jump up to the other platforms and keep chasing.
Mario: How do we win? They're almost to the Star!
Wario: I know how!
Mario: HOW?!
Wario: *whisper, whisper*
Mario: Good idea!
Mario and Wario start doing long jumps, and since they're skating at high speeds, they jump very long distances!
Mario: We just might win now!
Mario and Wario soon catch up to the Cosmic -arios.
Cosmic Mario: HEY! How did you catch up?
Wario: Like this!
Wario skates on one leg and sticks out the other, trippimg Cosmic Wario!
Cosmic Wario: NOOOOO!!!
Cosmic Wario falls off the platforms and into a black hole!
Cosmic Mario: Cosmic Wario, go back to the Cosmic Observatory!
Cosmic Mario looks ahead to see nothing but thin air.
Cosmic Mario: Wait, how did I…
Cosmic Mario looks down to see he is falling into a black hole!
Cosmic Mario: AGGGHHH!!! YOU TWO WAIT, WE'LL BE BACK!!!
Mario: Ha ha! We did it, Wario!
Wario: Too easy!
The -arios keep skating on the platforms until they reach the Star.
Mario: Whew! For a second there, I thought we might lose.
Wario: Me too, let’s just get out of here!
They head back
to the Observatory.
