Mario and Wario arrived at the Melty Molten Galaxy for their first time, coming to the base of a volcano.
Mario: Ok. Be careful around here. You don't want to get-
Suddenly Wario punched Mario so hard that he landed near the top of a volcano.
Wario: I know! You don't have to go over what's obvious!
Mario looked and saw the launch star near him.
Mario: ... Thanks for the lift!
Mario reached for the launch star and blasted off to the next planetoid.
Wario: Hey! Wait for me!
Wario tried to climb up the volcano, but was unsuccessful. Mario grew bored and decided to continue on.
Wario: Come on! I said wait!
Wario hurried and scurried across the sinkable platforms and onto the other side of the lava, quickly getting to the top of the cliff without getting burned by the shooting steam. By the time Wario had launched to the volcano, Mario was already at the metal platform with the launch star pieces.
Wario: I'll catch you, Mario!!
Wario quickly launched off the volcano and to the small glass planetoids.
Mario: Oh, hey Wario! I just finished collecting the Launch Star pieces and killing all the Lil' Cinders.
Wario: You did? Good. At least in a way you waited for me.
Mario and Wario took the last launch star for the mission and landed on a path that would take them to the lava spire. After quickly crossing these paths, they both arrived at the spire, which started to sink.
Mario: Hey! The lava's rising!
Wario: No, the spire's sinking! How would the lava rise besides this lava planetoid getting bigger? Don't argue with my logic. The volcano we started at is on the other side of the planetoid.
Meanwhile, Mario was already climbing up the spire. Wario just sat there until he was thrust into the air by the burning effect of the lava that was suddenly under him as the spire continued to sink. Once, twice, three times he was burned. Suddenly he lost a life.
Mario: That's what happens when you snooze. You lose!
Mario was at the top of the still-sinking spire. He broke the crystal with two spins, grabbed the Star, and went back to the Comet Observatory, finding Wario revived.
Wario: Onward to the next
