Chapter 6: Gobi’s Valley Mission-O-Glory
Mario: All right, we are in the desert room. Now where is the puzzle picture...
Ludwig: I see a picture over on the other side of the portal. But we have to cross the quicksand.
Kazooie: Hmm, see any white shoes with a red lightning bolt?
Mario: Yeah, by the side. I guess they will make you super fast?
Kazooie: Yep!
Mario runs and gets the shoes. Kazooie puts them on and speedwalks across the sand and to the picture. It needs 5 Jiggies and Mario puts them in
Mario: All right, guys, ready?
Ludwig: Yep!
Lemmy: Ready as I will ever be!
Kazooie: Good here!
Mario: Okay then, let’s-
Lemmy: -a go!
Ludwig: I was going to say go...
The Gang walk into the portal and enter the next level.
GOBI’S VALLEY
The Gang look around and see that they are at a small oasis.
Mario: All right guys, I say we should split up into teams. You probably know your partner already.
Ludwig and Lemmy: We know...
Kazooie: Hey, before we go, here you guys go: four feathers from me, so we can all fly. Well, I guess I only need to use three.
Kazooie plucks off 3 feathers and give them to everyone, turning Mario into Caped Mario and giving Paratroopa wings to the Koopalings.
Mario: All right! Let’s go!
Mario flies off straight and right, collecting 10 Notes and finding a sphinx.
Mario: Huh, look at the sphinx. It has a door inside, I want to go in!
Sphinxy: *sniffle, sniffle* Hi, I’m sorry, I *sniffle* can’t let you in...
Kazooie: Why not?
Sphinxy: ‘Cause I have a cwobe...
Mario: You have a code?
Sphinxy: No, a cwobe!
Kazooie: A cove? We already went to one!
Sphinxy: A CWOBE! A C-O-L-D!!!
Mario: Oh. Well then, let me and Kazooie handle it!
Mario and Kazooie fly up on two hills and collect 25 Notes. Mario pulls out Kazooie and makes her shoot one egg into one nostril of the sphinx, and another into the other.
Sphinxy: T-The smell of the eggs... A-ACHOO!!
Sphinxy sneezes out a Jiggy and a bunch of mucus.
Mario: I (disgustedly) got it!
Kazooie: Great, can we go inside now?
Sphinxy: Yeah, sure!
Sphinxy opens his door and Mario goes in .
Meanwhile...
Ludwig: Okay, we haven’t decided where we will go, so where to, Bro?
Lemmy: Well, I see a small little dude on a small hill with sand all around it. Is he important?
Ludwig: Yeah, if you collect five of his friends, he will give a whole Jiggy.
Lemmy rolls his ball to the hill and picks up the Jinjo guy.
Ludwig: Okay, we got that solved-
Lemmy: Hey, look behind you! A crying tree and a Jiggy really high!
Wayne the Weeping Willow: Weep! Boohoo! I am ever so thirsty! I see water around me, but I can’t reach ‘cause I have no hands!
Lemmy: Well, I wonder. Since I have ice powers and it is hot here, I can feed you!
Lemmy pulls out his wand and throws a ball of ice, which melts into water the moment it hits the tree. The tree then grows tall with a bunch of branches
Will the Willow: Thanks, and look! My name has changed too!
Ludwig: Although we could use our Paratroopa wings to fly up there... I suppose it is always fun to climb. Speaking of which, I had a funny idea of a joke for you Lemmy...
Lemmy: Um... I love jokes, but-
Ludwig waves his wand at Lemmy and turns him slightly bigger, about the same size as Ludwig.
Lemmy: Great! It feels be-
Lemmy is unfortunately too big and his ball deflates.
Lemmy: Curse you! This better be only for this story and this one only! This little secret never goes out in public...
Ludwig: That’s why you can’t be bigger!
Lemmy: Shaddup and go get the Jiggy!
Ludwig climbs up and grabs the Jiggy.
Meanwhile...
Mario: Oh wow, it seems really dusty here!
Kazooie: Look! Flying carpets! They lead up to a Jiggy!
Mario: Well, we have wings, so-
An odd hand grabs Mario’s cape off and pinches Kazooie’s wing.
Kazooie: Ouch! I can’t fly with these weak things!
Mario: I guess this odd thing wants us to do it like it was designed to be done.
Mario and Kazooie walk onto the first carpet and they take 5 Notes. It floats 1/6 of the way up to the roof. Mario sees another carpet and jumps onto that one, collecting yet another 5 Notes as it goes even higher. The next one Mario sees is being guarded by an odd Boo thing, so Mario jumps onto the thing’s head and lands onto the halfway carpet, taking 5 more Notes.
Kazooie: Wow, I forgot. That hand thing we saw, it was a hand panel. In some odd tomb, there is a big play field where anyone can control what goes on in this world.
Mario: Jeeze, sounds powerful!
Mario jumps from the 3rd to the 5th carpet, collecting 5 Notes. Then a hand appears and tries to smack Mario off the carpet ride, but misses and Mario super jumps to the last carpet and rides it up to the Jiggy shrine and takes the Jiggy.
Mario: I got it! Now let’s get out of here before that hand comes around again!
Mario and Kazooie jump off the big ledge and out of the temple.
Meanwhile...
Lemmy: All right, let’s fly off straight, then take a left and find more pyramid temples.
Ludwig: Well I see another water spot, but look down there. There are three odd targets!
Lemmy: Yeah!
???: Refrain from going any further!
Lemmy: Huh?
20 odd bricks come out of the sand that Lemmy and Ludwig land on. They then take the shape of a skinny green plumber.
???: I am the god, the head honcho around here! I have a message for Mario, the greedy fiend! Tell him that we hold his brother in chains, waiting for him when he completes this level with 9 Jiggies and 100 Notes!
The bricks become two plumber-shaped golems.
???: OOf course, I wonder why I told you just now, knowing you are about to lose. Commit defeat to my bricks of doom!
Mini-Boss Battle!: Brario and Bruigi Brick Mario and Brick Luigi
The plumbers jump up into the air and ground pound the land, shaking the level. They soon throw bricks at the Koopas, and one hits Lemmy and another hits Ludwig.
Lemmy: Grr, I already can’t stand losing to Mario. I am not going to lose to some cheap copy!!!
Lemmy waves his wand and throws rubber balls toward the Brick Bros, but Ludwig waves his wand and turns the balls into water balls, dissolving some of the bricks.
Lemmy: You have water powers?
Ludwig: Nah, just the power to transform stuff.
Brario: Smash!
Bruigi: Time!
Brario jumps into the air and lands on Bruigi, then Bruigi jumps into the air and they try to double pound the Koopalings. But they miss and hit the sand, which they get stuck in. Lemmy then jumps into the air and spins into a shell with ice around him, which turns into floating water and hits Brario and hurts him a lot, turning some of his BrickStach into a cleanly shaven brick face.
Brario: Mamamia!
Brario gets angry and grabs Bruigi and throws him at Ludwig, hitting him slightly on the shell. Ludwig waves his wand and throws a blue ball of fire and hits Bruigi, shaving his mustache off. Bruigi gets mad and takes some of Brario’s bricks and makes another ‘stache. Brario and Bruigi start to fight with each other
Lemmy: Hey Ludwig! Let’s destroy them while they are arguing!
Lemmy and Ludwig wave their wands together and make a huge shell that hits the Brick Brothers and destroys them, making them give up a Jiggy each.
Ludwig: We did it!
Lemmy: Well, look over there: Mario and Kazooie!
Ludwig: I wonder how many Jiggies they have?
Meanwhile...
Kazooie: Where to next?
Mario: How about that big pyramid in the middle of the world?
Kazooie and Mario fly to the entrance of the big pyramid, while Ludwig and Lemmy fly to there too.
Lemmy: Hey guys, how was your search? We found three Jiggies! But no Notes...
Mario: We found two Jiggies and 45 Notes. Let’s go in here and see what else we can find!
The gang walk into the pyramid, and as soon as they enter, a big maze starts.
Mario: Huh? What is happening?
Conkey: I am back, you fools! And with 120 seconds on the clock, so try to get out before the spikes on the roof come down!
Mario and the gang run around panicking. Kazooie tries to fly out of the maze, but a magic force puts her down.
Mario: Wait, panicking will not help! Let’s try to split four ways, and whoever finds the exit will warp us with their wand.
Lemmy: But what if you two find the exit, how will we find you guys?
Mario: Um, do you have extra wands or anything?
Ludwig: Yes, we have some, wait here!
Lemmy and Ludwig go into their shells and come back out with two red wands.
Lemmy: Here you go, Mario! A red wand with an M engraved on the red jewel!
Ludwig: And a red wand with a kick me sign!
Kazooie: I AM GOING TO KICK-
Ludwig: Just kidding, it has a K on it...
Mario: Okay, let’s go then!
The gang go their separate ways. Lemmy goes left and finds 5 Notes and 5 eggs for Kazooie. Soon he meets a end with a dead Dry Bones stuck there.
Lemmy: (talking through wand to everyone) Okay guys, nothing here... Teleporting to nearest person!
Lemmy teleports to Ludwig and follows him around, while Mario and Kazooie walk around, finding 10 Notes, 10 eggs, and 20 more feathers before reaching a dead end.
Mario: Nothing here, guys. Anyone-
Ludwig: Found the exit! Everyone teleport here!
Mario and Kazooie teleport to Lemmy and Ludwig.
Mario: We did it!
Conkey: Curses! And in 114 seconds!!!
Conkey disappears.
Lemmy: Look over there! A big tomb!
The Gang run toward the tomb and open it, revealing a pedestal holding a Jiggy.
Mario: We got it!
Kazooie: And onwards to another tomb for four more Jiggies!
The Gang run out of the pyramid and fly to another tomb with a snake statue on top. They go in, seeing an odd Toadish-looking guy and a box.
Mario: Hello Mr-
Mellow: Mellow is the name, what can I do for you?
Lemmy: We need to get a Jiggy, got any?
Mellow: Yes, up on the ceiling, but the only way to get it is to make my snake rise out of this stupid pot.
Kazooie: Say, does he like to eat eggs?
Mellow: Yeah, he does, they are rare here. And to think, some hand thing came and told us to move out of this world for more eggs for snakey here!
Kazooie: Anyway, here are some eggs!
Kazooie spits out some eggs and puts them into the pot.
Snakey: One of you... get on top of the pot...
Ludwig gets on and the snake and rises up so high that he is able to grab the Jiggy from the ceiling.
Snakey: DANG THEM EGGS WERE SO GOOD!!!
Mellow: Snakey rises out when he gets his favorite eggs. He rarely rises out for anything else.
Ludwig: Well, either way, we got the next Jiggy!
Lemmy: Time to get out of here and onto the next challenge!
The Gang leave the pyramid and fly off to another one, with a big top on it. While flying towards it they collect 35 Notes and see a Note leading into the big pyramid. They collect it, and see another one.
Lemmy: Don’t you guys see anything odd about this path? I have a bad feeling about this...
Kazooie: I kind of have that feeling, but I ignore it often.
They collect the Notes along the path, giving them 8 Jiggies and 99 Notes. They find a big room in front of a small room covered in bricks. Mario smashes it and Morton is revealed playing with a big hand figure. The other half of the room is a cage with Luigi in it.
Mario: Morton?!
Lemmy: I kinda was hoping for a big Jiggy for us, so we can leave this chapter and be done here. I’ve got a website to run, ya know!
Morton: Oh yeah, "Lemmy’s Land". About that, my sibling. I’m afraid right now, Grunty will soon have control over the whole site!
Lemmy: What?!
Kazooie: So wait, if we fail to rescue the Princess Peach or whatever, this site as we know it will cease to exist?
Morton: Yep! The story gets more complex as we know it, Mario Gang!
Mario: Then it is a necessity to beat Grunty!
Morton: Well, meet some new power-ups I got from Grunty!
Morton plays on his board game with the whole sand level, and brings in two big hands and one big brick body.
Morton: Watch this!
Morton takes Luigi and puts him into the heart of the body. Morton jumps into the head and the body starts to move. The two brick hands move around and fit onto the arms of the body, becoming, Mortoris the Nile King!
KOOPALING BOSS BATTLE!!!: Mortoris the Nile King
Motoris throws Spinies at Mario, but misses and hits Ludwig instead. Ludwig gets mad and jumps into his shell and spins around the Nile King, confusing him and making him dizzy. Ludwig also knocks down the tomb so that they are now all battling outside.
Morton: Grr, how dare you hurt my Nile attacker! I want you to observe the awesome power of this beauty, unlike Ludwigs horrible machine-
Lemmy: In short, some kind of special attack to hurt us...
Morton throws a big bomb at Mario and sets it to a robot form, and it blows up on Mario, hurting him by a lot, Lemmy sneaks around the machine and climbs it and hits Morton’s head and it turns red on the star part of it
Morton: GRR, HOW DARE YOU?! TAKE THIS!!!
Morton shoots his two hands out to kill the Gang. One hand floats to Lemmy and Ludwig, trying to slap them silly. It misses Lemmy, who throws his bro Ludwig as a Koopa shell at the hand, which explodes.
Mario: Good jo-
Kazooie: Look out!
The other hand tries to smash Mario and succeeds, but Mario gets stuck in the sand. Kazooie pulls him out and throws Mario’s Ice Flower at Mario, which turns him into Ice Mario. Mario then ho throws a snowball at Morton and it turns into water, which turns the machine into sand.
Morton: Hey! Grr, why I ought to- No, wait, I’ve got an idea...
From the sand rubble, Luigi comes out and Morton grabs him and holds a wand to his face.
Morton: One move, and Luigi turns into sand with a ‘stache!
Mario: *GASP! I* don’t think I can hurt him. Maybe Morton won...
Lemmy: Come on! Luigi isn’t that important! Can’t we-
Ludwig: (chuckling) Heheh, wait Lemmy, Karma will pull through for us...
Morton: Karma will not be coming soon! Or at all! In-
Kazooie hits Morton from the back and knocks him out and takes Luigi back to Mario, who hugs him.
Mario: Luigi is okay! Yippee! No one got hurt yet!
Kazooie: Besides Morton... and Lemmy and Ludwig, and me. His shell hurt my beak!
Morton: Ugggh, My head... Grr! Morton Koopa lost to these guys?! I can’t believe it!
Kazooie: Morton, there is a warp pipe over by the exit, why don’t you make like Iggy and run off?
Morton: Hmm, Kazooie makes a good point. ‘Til next time- Oh wait, there is no next time! Grunty and Bowser will crush you guys like sand under their feet!!!
Morton runs away into the warp pipe, which disappears and reveals a Note and a Jiggy.
Mario: I got it! Now let’s get out of this level and onto another level of fun!
Luigi: Thanks guys! Do I get to join?
Mario: Yeah right! We have enough people!
Luigi: I’M LEAVING THIS STORY THEN!
Luigi jumps out of your computer and walks out your front door.
Mario: Oh well, let’s get out of here...
Mario and the Gang run to the exit and get out of the level and head towards another Note Gate leading to a very "odd" world. Meanwhile...
Grunty: *sigh* I am ashamed of you, you don’t deserve the next level, it’s a guaranteed boo!
Morton: Sorry, I failed.
Roy: WOAAH, one sentence for Morton. She is good!
Wendy: Next level is supposed to be scary, huh... Roy should go!
Roy: Huh? But, wait, this could be dangerous! And besides, I say we should teleport Kamek here to help us out! You would love him, Grunty!
Bowser (still caged with Jr): HEY. WHAT ABOUT ME AND JR?!
Grunty: Well then, join with Roy, now go! And take your boy!
Larry: Next world is for Wendy! Shotgun for her, no switches!
Wendy: DANG IT! IT BETTER BE A WATER WORLD!
Bowser, Roy, and Junior run into a portal to a "spooky" Level.
