It’s a boring day in Dark Land, as usual. A dark version of Parakarry, with demon wings and a black shell, delivers some mail.

He flies off. Larry picks up and goes through the mail.
Larry: Bill... Bill... Bill...
Larry hands some mail to Bill Cosby.
Larry: Here you go, Bill.
Bill Cosby: Thanks!
Larry: Yay! I got a letter!
Dear Larry and Iggy,
I have conquered Peach’s Castle and am throwing a party. Invite whoever you want, I don’t care. Don’t be suspicious of why it took so long for me to contact you after you beat Cackletta.

Larry: ... Looks legit to me! Iggy!
Iggy walks out from the frame behind Larry.
Iggy: What?
Larry: *flinches* Gah! Don’t do that! Anyway, King Dad conquered Peach’s Castle and is throwing a party!
Iggy: Sounds suspicious.
Larry: No it doesn’t.
Iggy: ... Okay.
Later Larry, Iggy, and Culex come out of three warp pipes at Peach’s Castle.
Iggy: Why did we bring Culex along?
Larry: King Dad said we could invite whoever we wanted to the party.
Culex: This will be my only line for awhile!
The three run into the castle while Dodo sleeps on the roof.
Dodo: Zzz... No! That’s MY pizza! Zzz...
Later, Dodo is somehow off the roof and where the three warp pipes were, yet he is still asleep. A Lakitu wakes him up... by punching him.
Lakitu: WAKE UP!
Dodo: Ow! Wait, what am I doing here? How was I on the roof? How did I know I was on the roof when I was sleeping and didn’t know I was at Peach’s Castle? And how did I get down here?
Lakitu: Shut up and listen! Larry, Iggy, and Culex have been captured and are being held captive in the castle!
Dodo: Who captured them?
Lakitu: It’s a secret!!!
Dodo: ... Fine.
Dodo eats the Lakitu and goes to the castle door. It’s locked.
Dodo: Dang.
Bunny: You’ll have to catch me to get the key to the door!
Dodo: ...
Dodo breaks down door and goes into the castle.
Bunny: I’m so lonely.
The Bunny randomly catches fire and dies. Dodo walks into the castle.
Voice: Nobody’s home! NOW SCRAM!!!
Dodo: If nobody’s here, who’s talking?
Voice: ...
Jelly Jiggler appears.
Jelly Jiggler: I’m sorry. I just wanted to be the hero...
Dodo: Well, in that case... DIE!
Dodo eats Jelly Jiggler.
Dodo: Now, where to look...
Toad: Hey, bird-guy!
Dodo: Me?
Bird-Guy: No, me!
Dodo: Sorry.
Dodo leaves the two to their conversation and enters a room with a door featuring a star with no number.
Dodo: Larry, Iggy, Culex? You in here?
There’s just a painting of some Bob-ombs. And Darth Vader.
Darth Vader: Hello.
Dodo ignores him.
Dodo: What’s with that painting?
Dodo leaps at the painting, and enters Bob-omb Battlefield.
Darth Vader: ... I’m so lonely.
Darth Vader randomly explodes.
Chapter 1: Bob-omb Battlefield! ... What do you mean the chapter name stinks?!
Dodo appears on Bob-omb Battlefield. There are Bob-ombs everywhere.
Deidara: This is my dream come true! ART IS A BANG!!!
Deidara goes around tossing bombs everywhere while laughing like a maniac.
Dodo: ... I wonder if Larry is here.
Dodo sees a big mountain.
Dodo: I’ll look there.
Dodo runs to the mountain and keeps getting attacked by kamikaze Bob-ombs.
Bob-omb #1: Die!
Bob-omb #2: Pie!
Bob-omb #3: Flie!
Bob-ombs # 1 and 2: You spelled “fly” wrong!
The first two Bob-ombs kill the third Bob-omb by blowing up.
Dodo: ...
He continues walking past some Goombas and a Koopa being blown up.
Dodo: Boring.
Deidara: *blows Chain Chomp up* ART IS A BLAST!
Dodo: Hey! I wanted to fight him...
Deidara: Too bad!
Dodo: Jerk.
Dodo runs to the mountain, dodging rolling black balls, until he makes it to the top.
Big Bob-omb: STOP! Who are you?
Dodo: Dodo.
Big Bob-omb: Okay. We shall fight!
Dodo: Why?
Big Bob-omb: I dunno.
Big Bob-omb charges at Dodo, who sidesteps.
Dodo: Aren’t you supposed to be throwing Bob-ombs?
Big Bob-omb: They’re all fighting down below.
Down below, a bunch of Bob-ombs are fighting by the base of the mountain.
Bob-omb: Give up!
Enemy Bob-omb: No way!
Bob-omb: Then die!
All the Bob-ombs explode, causing a large crack at the base of the mountain.
Dodo and Big Bob-omb: What the?!
The mountain falls and crushes the remaining Bob-ombs.
Deidara: Not my bombs! Noooo!!!
Big Bob-omb: Curses! You have defeated me!
Dodo: I didn’t do anything...
Big Bob-omb: Take this Power Star.
Big Bob-omb gives Dodo a Power Star.
Dodo: What do I do with this?
Big Bob-omb: Use is to open doors in Peach’s Castle.
Big Bob-omb randomly explodes. Dodo is transported back to Peach’s Castle.
Dodo: That was weird.
He jumps back into the painting.
Chapter 2: The Not-So Amazing Race!!
Dodo reappears on Bob-omb Battlefield. The mountain is still destroyed and the only people there are Dodo, Deidara weeping in a corner, Koopa the Quick, and a Goomba.
Dodo: Huh. Hey, Koopa!
Koopa T. Quick: What?
Dodo: Do you have a Power Star?
Koopa T. Quick: Yeah, but only for Larry if he beats me in a race.
Dodo: Right.
Dodo walks over to the Goomba and notices he has a mohawk, Larry’s mohawk in fact!
Dodo: Where did you get the mohawk?
Goomba: I found it.
Dodo: ...
Dodo rips off the mohawk, kills the Goomba, and puts the mohawk on his own head. Dodo then changes into Larry.
Dodo: (in Larry’s voice) Woah, I look like Larry, and sound like him too! I wonder...
Very long nose hairs extend from Dodo’s nose.
Dodo: I have his powers as well!!
Dodo walks over to Koopa T. Quick.
Dodo: Hey Koopa.
Koopa T. Quick: Larry! Wanna have a race?
Dodo: Sure!
Koopa T. Quick: Let’s race to the top of the mountain!
Dodo: The mountain was destroyed.
Koopa T. Quick: ... AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Koopa T. Quick explodes and a Power Star appears. Dodo changes back to his original shape.
Dodo: That was too easy.
He collects the Power Star and is warped
back to Peach’s Castle. He once again enters the Bob-omb painting.
Chapter 3: (singing) Five Golden Ri- I mean, Five Silver Stars!
Dodo appears on Bob-omb Battlefield.
Dodo: Man, it’s so lonely here.
Deidara: I’m here!
Dodo: Stop appearing!
Deidara: ...
Dodo: What’s that glass orb?
Dodo points to a glass orb I totally mentioned before...
Deidara: Oh, I’m sorry. I thought I wasn’t supposed to appear again!
Dodo: Just tell me.
Deidara: Collect the Five Silver Stars...
He gestures to a nearby Silver Star that I definitely mentioned.
Deidara: -and a Power Star will appear in the orb.
Dodo: All right then!
Dodo grabs the first Silver Star. He continues and sees one attached to the tail of a Chain Chomp that is running around... and that I mentioned.
Dodo: BAD DOGGY!
Dodo punches the Chain Chomp, which crumbles into pieces, and collects the second Silver Star.
Dodo: Two down...
He runs over to a group of Goombas that I men-
Dodo: SHUT UP!
Sorry. Anyway, Dodo kills them all and one drops a Silver Star, which he collects. He walks over to a flower patch and collects a Silver Star that’s just sitting there.
Dodo: That one was easy. Only one left. This’ll be easy!
Dodo spots the last Silver Star. In the hands of a giant monster with a club.
Monster: DIE!!!
Dodo: ... Mommy. SUPER FIST OF THE CHUBBY BIRD: RUBBER BAND ATTACK!
Dodo takes out a rubber band and shoots it at the monster’s arm.
Monster: Ow! Rubber bands hurt so much! You’re such a meanie!
The monster runs away crying and drops the Star. Dodo collects it and the Power Star appears in the orb.
Dodo: Woot!
Dodo shatters the glass orb.
Dodo: Ow! The glass hurts!
He collects the Power Star and is warped
back to the castle. He ONCE AGAIN jumps back into the painting.
Chapter 4: Revenge!
Dodo warps back to the Battlefield.
Dodo: I’m starting to grow bored of this place...
Deidara: I have decided to kill you! REVENGE!
Dodo: Revenge for what?
Deidara: Destroying all the bombs!
Deidara kicks Dodo in the gut, then punches him into a wall.
Dodo: What’s that behind you?!
Deidara: I’m not falling for that!
The monster from the last chapter is behind Deidara and steps on him, killing him.
Dodo: Why are these “boss fights” so short?
Monster: I dunno.
The monster explodes and a Power Star
appears. Dodo collects it and... you know the drill. He also hops back
into the painting. AGAIN.
Chapter 5: Flying is Fun!
Dodo reappears at the place. Do I really need to say where?
Dodo: I HATE THIS PLACE!
Dodo flies up to a floating island.
Dodo: Maybe there’s a Power Star here...
Dodo sees a bunch of coins.
Dodo: Money!
Wario: Hey! Greed is my thing!
Dodo: Shut up.
Dodo pushes him off the island. He then flies and collects all the coins and a Power Star appears. He collects it and warps.
Dodo: These are too short!
How could I possibly make a mission to collect a certain five coins long and entertaining? Besides having you miss a bunch of times.
Dodo: Good point.
He jumps back into the painting.
Chapter 6: Eight Red Coins!
Dodo: How many more times will I be in this level?!
As many times as it takes to make you go mad! MWAHAHAHHAA!
Dodo: ...
Dodo notices the place where the mountain used to be is now an amusement park.
Dodo: WHEN DID THAT GET THERE?! Anyway, what do I do?
Nearby Bob-omb: Collect eight Red Coins.
Dodo: Didn’t all the Bob-ombs die?
NB: Uh... *blows up*
Dodo: ...
Dodo runs by the first bridge and collects a Red Coin by some moving platforms, then one from a nearby rock. Then one from the Chain Chomp’s post.
Dodo: Where’s the Chain Chomp?
You killed it.
Chain Chomp: Oh yeah...
Dodo runs to the nearby field and gets two red coins right next to each other. Then one in a nearby tree.
Dodo: This is boring.
He goes to the amusement park and sees a Koopa child with his parents. The Koopa child has the last two coins.
Dodo: May I have those coins?
Koopa Child: NO!
Dodo: ...
He eats the Koopa child, his parents,
and the Red Coins. That causes the Power Star to somehow appear in his
stomach, which apparently counts as him getting it. He warps. He then enters
the painting AGAIN.
Chapter 7: Behind the Gate!
Dodo appears in the same place.
Dodo: How many more times?!
One more after his.
Dodo: Thank DAD!
Dodo walks over to the gate, busts it
down, and gets the Star. He warps, reenters the painting, and appears in
the same place.
Chapter 8: 100 Coins!
Dodo: *reads chapter name* Oh DAD no!
Yep. Get collecting.
Dodo kills some Goombas and gets ten coins. He collects all of the red coins, which brings him to a total of twenty-six coins. He robs a rich Koopa and gets fifty coins. He then robs the amusement park, which gets him three-hundred coins. A Power Star appears and he collects it.
Dodo: FINALLY!
He warps back to the castle.
Dodo: Now to look somewhere else!
He leaves that room and enters one with
a 1 on the star on the door. There’s a painting of a fortress floating
in the sky. He hops in.
Chapter 9: Finally! A new area!
Dodo appears at Whomp’s Fortress.
Dodo: Finally! Someplace new.
Dodo walks along a path and a block with a face extends from the wall.
Dodo: What the?
Dodo punches the face on the block.
Face: Ow! You jerk!
The face breathes fire at Dodo, who stop, drops, and rolls into a Thwomp.
Thwomp: Ow! You mean!
The Thwomp crushes Dodo a few times, then leaves in a huff.
Dodo: Pain...
Dodo continues to the top of the fortress, killing all enemies in his path until he reaches the top.
Whomp King: STOP! Me Whomp King!
Dodo: Uh, hi.
Whomp King: You die!
Dodo: Why?
Whomp King: You killed all my minions!
Dodo: Sounds fair.
Dodo grabs the crown from the king’s head and jams it in his eye.
Whomp King: ARGH!
Dodo: Die!
Dodo throws a bomb at Whomp King.
Whomp King: Ow! Where did you get a bomb?
Dodo: I... don’t know.
Dodo pecks the Whomp King’s other eye.
Whomp King: Me can’t see!
Whomp King wanders off the edge of his
fortress and falls to his death. A Power Star appears, Dodo collects it
and warps to the castle. He jumps back into the painting.
Chapter 10: The Climb!
Dodo reappears at the fortress. There is now a tower at the top.
Dodo: How did they make that so fast?!
Thwomp: Lots of coffee!
Dodo: Oh.
Dodo pushes him off the mountain. He then climbs up the fortress and up the tower.
???: Stop!
Dodo: It... can’t be!
The Angry Video Game Nerd is there!
Nerd: You think you’re kidding that Star?! Well, you’re not you-
Dodo: AHEM!!!
Nerd: Oh, right. You uh... jerk.
Dodo: Why are you guarding the Star?
Nerd: I was paid.
Dodo: By who?
Nerd: Bill Cosby.
Dodo: CURSE YOU, BILL COSBY!
Nerd: Mushroom!
The Nerd takes out an 8-Bit Mushroom and grows twice as large.
Dodo: Oh crud!
The Nerd punches Dodo, who goes flying, but flies back and pecks the Nerd’s eyes.
Nerd: *censored*
Dodo: Haha!
The Nerd takes out a Fire Flower and starts shooting fire.
CD-I Ganon: IT BUUUURNSS!!!
Nerd: Oh no! A bad video game! IT BURNS!
The Nerd dies. Dodo collects the Star
and warps back, then reenters the painting.
Chapter 11: Never Play with Cannons!
Dodo reappears at the fortress. He walks up a different path and sees a hole.
Dodo: What’s in here?
He jumps in and lands in a cannon. Dodo is too fat so only the lower half of his body fits in the cannon.
Dodo: What’s going on?!
The cannon launches him off the fortress. He flies back up, beaten and bruised.
Dodo: Let’s try that again!
Dodo tries again and is launched into a Piranha Plant’s mouth. He kills the plant.
Dodo: I hate this cannon!
Goomba: You could just fly to the Star.
Dodo: ... Oh yeah.
Dodo flies to the Star, collects it, and warps back.
Dodo: That was painful.
He jumps back into the painting.
Chapters 12 and 13: Red Coins... again! Also, 100 Coins... again!
Dodo: Let’s get this over with.
He robs a rich Goomba and gets the one hundred coin Star.
Dodo: Now for the challenge.
He goes to the moving blocks with faces and grabs a Red Coin floating in between two of them.
Dodo: One down.
He runs to the other side of the fortress and plucks two Piranha Plants and throws them off the fortress. He collects a nearby Red Coin. He flies over the Thwomp and collects a red coin. He kills a Piranha Plant for a fourth coin, then runs across a thin ledge for a fifth Red Coin. He collects a floating Red Coin by the bridge.
Dodo: This is boring.
Sorry. Anyway, he collects two Red Coins
right above his head, gets the Star that appears, and warps to the castle.
He reenters the painting.
Chapter 14: Owls? This isn’t Harry Potter!
Dodo reappears and accidentally trips into a nearby tree. An owl comes out from it.
Owl: WHO DISTURBED MY SLUMBER?!
Dodo: Uh, that Goomba?
Goomba: Huh?
Owl: Die! *kills the Goomba*
Dodo: That was close!
He flies up to a Power Star in a cage
and collects it. You know what happens next.
Chapter 15: Property Damage is Good for you!
Dodo walks over to the same cannon.
Dodo: Let’s get this over with.
Dodo launches at a nearby wall. Instead of the Star popping out, fire does and it burns Dodo.
Dodo: AAAAHHHH!
He tries again and hits the correct
wall and gets the Star. He warps, reenters, blah blah blah.
Chapter 16: A race to the finish!
Dodo reappears.
Dodo: Finally, last Star!
He walks over to a red block and breaks it and hits the switch. A Power Star appears in a glass orb.
Dodo: CHARGE!
He charges at the direction of the orb. A cannon launches several Bullet Bills that hit poor Dodo.
Dodo: Must... not... surrender...
He leaps at the orb, which shatters.
Dodo: OW! GLASS HURTS!
He grabs the Star and warps back to the Castle.
Dodo: Where in the world is Larry?!
Toad: I know where he is!
Dodo: Really?!
Toad: No.
Dodo: ...
Dodo goes up the stairs and to the right. He enters a hall with five doors.
Dodo: Huh. Odd.
He sees a picture of Peach to his right.
He lunges at it for no reason and is warped.
Chapters 17 and 18: Sliding is fun!
Dodo appears by a giant slide.
Dodo: What IS this place?
Dodo jumps onto the slide.
Dodo: AAAHHHH!!
He bounces into several walls.
Dodo: PAIN!
He goes over the edge and franticly flies back up.
Dodo: That was clooooooose!
As he was saying “close” he slides back down the slide and reaches the end and is launched into a box headfirst. A Star pops out. A second one appears.
Dodo: Ow...
He collects them and is warped back to the castle.
Dodo: That was terrible...
He goes to a door with a three on it,
and opens it. There’s a painting of bubbles underwater. He goes into a
hole in the wall.
Chapter 19: Red Coins Underwater
Dodo appears in a room that’s underwater.
Dodo: Woah. Wait, how am I talking underwater?
... Shut up. Anyway, he notices a large shark in the room.
Dodo: THAT WASN’T IN THE GAME!
Snacker: Too bad!
Snacker launches torpedoes from his mouth at Dodo, who swims away frantically.
Torpedo Girl: TORPEDO AWAY!!!
She barely misses Dodo.
Dodo: Leave me alone!
Torpedo Girl smashes into one of the windows, and all the water is drained from the room.
Snacker: That wasn’t... so... *gasp* smart...
Snacker dies and Dodo collects all the
Red Coins and gets his Star. He warps back to the room he was previously
in and enters the painting.
Chapter 20: Yoho! Yoho! A Pirate’s Life For Me!
Dodo appears at Jolly Roger Bay.
Dodo: Let’s get this over with.
He jumps in the water and swims down to a ship. Not just any ship. It’s Tetra’s ship from Wind Waker. Dodo swims into the ship.
Dodo: WHAT THE?!
The ship is full of skeleton pirates having a party.
Skeleton Niko: Die!
The skeletons attack Dodo, who takes them all apart so they can’t move.
Skeleton Tetra: Dang!
Dodo walks over to a nearby Power Star
and collects it. Warps, reenters.
Chapter 21: Eels are Evil!
Dodo reappears.
Dodo: Let’s get this over with again.
Dodo swims to the bottom of the bay, where the Eel is swimming.
Unagi: Hello!
Dodo: AAHHH!
Dodo runs from the Eel.
Unagi: I just want a friend!
Unagi chases Dodo.
Dodo: Leave me alone!
He throws a sword at Unagi.
Unagi: Ow! Where did you get a sword?!
Dodo: I dunno!
He throws an entire house at Unagi.
Unagi: Oh cr-
Unagi is crushed by the house. Dodo
collects the Power Star.
Chapter 22: Treasure!!
Dodo reappears at Jolly Roger Bay.
Dodo: Oh boy! Treasure!
The King: Mah boi! Treasure is what all true warriors strive for!
Dodo: ...
Dodo jumps in the water and starts swimming.
Dodo: What smells? Wait, how can I smell underwater?
Dodo spots the giant skeleton of Unagi.
Dodo: Ew.
Dodo swims into a nearby cave. It has giant pillars on top of rocks.
Dodo: This shouldn’t be too hard. There aren’t any enemies.
Suddenly a lot of ReDeads pop from the ground.
Dodo: I guess I spoke too soon...
Shaun: Here, take this!
Shaun tosses Dodo a pool cue, and Don’t Stop Me Now starts playing.
Dodo: Uh, okay.
Dodo starts hitting the ReDeads with his pool cue, but it does nothing.
ReDeads: Grooooooaaaaaannnnnn...
Dodo: This isn’t working!
Shaun: Oh, well... bye!
Shaun leaves, taking the song with him.
Dodo: ...
ReDeads: Braaaaaiiiiiinsss...
Mother Brain: Eep!
Dodo: DIE!
Dodo takes a flamethrower and burns the ReDeads to ashes.
Dodo: Whoo!
Dodo runs over to a chest, which opens
and reveals the Star. Dodo grabs it and warps back to the castle. He hops
back into the painting.
Chapter 23: Blastoff!
Dodo reappears at the bay.
Dodo: Larry better be thankful when I rescue him...
Dodo hops into a nearby cannon.
Bob-omb: I didn’t open that for you yet!
Dodo: Too bad!
Dodo launches at a nearby Star. He misses and hits Tetra’s boat, which is now afloat.
Dodo: Let’s try that again.
He goes back to the cannon and tries again. He hits a spike pillar and slides into the water.
Dodo: Ow...
Dodo tries again, and gets the Star!
He warps back to the castle and reenters the level.
Chapters 24 and 25: Red Coins and 100 Coins!
Dodo reappears at the bay.
Dodo: Not this again! Besides, when does Larry and the others have to do this crud?!
Later. Anyway, Dodo swims into the water and sees a Red Coin in a clam.
Dodo: Money!
He grabs the coin and the clam snaps on his wing.
Dodo: OW!
Dodo rips the clam in half. He swims to another clam and gets another Red Coin, making sure to retract his wing quickly. He climbs a nearby spike pillar for his third Red Coin. He swims by another clam that has a Red Coin, and grabs it.
Dodo: Why do clams have money?
Shut up. Dodo swims to the bottom of the bay and gets his fifth Red Coin from yet another clam. He hops up onto Tetra’s ship and sees a coin floating above him, and grabs it.
Dodo: Six down.
A crate smashes into Dodo’s back.
Dodo: GAH! Stupid ship...
Dodo leaps over another oncoming crate and grabs the last two coins. A Star appears and he grabs it.
Dodo: Now, where will I find the rest of the coins for the 100 coins?
You’re on a pirate ship! A PIRATE ship!
Dodo: Oh, right.
One looting spree later, the Star appears and Dodo grabs it and warps back to the castle. He leaves the room.
Dodo: I didn’t get all the Stars yet!
You can’t until you unlock Iggy and Culex.
Dodo: Oh.
Dodo goes to the Cool Cool Mountain
room and hops into the painting.
Chapters 26 and 27: Not another slide! Also, more 100 coins!
Dodo appears on Cool Cool Mountain.
Dodo: Brrrr... I’m freezing!
Not my problem.
Dodo: ...
Dodo hops into a nearby chimney. He appears by an icy slide covered with coins!
Dodo: Hooray!
He slides down the slide and gets the 100 coins and a Star. He continues sliding.
Dodo: Wheeeee!
He falls off the edge.
Dodo: AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
He falls onto a lower part of the slide.
Dodo: Gah! My back...
He continues sliding until he reaches the bottom. He exits the cottage. A Star appears.
Penguin Mom: GET ME MY BABY!!
Dodo: No.
Penguin Mom: ... WAAAAAAHHH!
Dodo collects the Star and warps. He
reenters the painting.
Chapter 28: Super Larry 64 DS; reuniting lost penguin families since 1886!
Dodo: This chapter name is stupid.
You’re stupid.
Dodo: ...
Dodo flies up and sees a small penguin.
Penguin: Waaah! I want my mommy!
The King: Mah boi! Mommies are what all true warriors strive for!
Penguin: ...
Dodo: That’s odd, I saw a Penguin Mom screaming about her child, and a child Penguin screaming about his mom.
After a few seconds of thinking, Dodo picks up the baby and chucks it down the mountain.
Dodo: GO BACK TO YOUR MOMMA!
Penguin: AAAAAAHHHH!
Dodo jumps after the baby and they both land in front of Mom Penguin.
Dodo: Here’s your baby!
Penguin Mom: That’s not my baby!
Penguin: Besides, I’m twenty years old!
Dodo: ...
Penguin Mom: There’s my baby!
Random Goomba: Mommy!
The mother and child embrace. Aww...
Dodo: ... Give me my Star.
Mom Penguin: Whatever.
Mom Penguin gives Dodo the Star and
Dodo warps and reenters.
Chapter 29: The slide again?! NOOOOOOO!!!
Dodo hops into the chimney again.
Penguin: Woah! Are you Santa?!
Dodo: No.
Penguin: Aw... Wanna race?
Dodo: If I must...
Penguin: Hooray! Ready... set... go!
The two jump onto the slide, but from their combined weight, the slide starts cracking.
Both: Uh oh!
The two start sliding as fast as they can. The Penguin isn’t fast enough and falls to his death, but Dodo takes the shortcut and makes it to the end.
Dodo: Whew. That was close.
Penguin’s Ghost: Here, take this medal!
The ghost gives Dodo a Star. Dodo warps
and reenters the painting again.
Chapter 30: Frozen Eight Red Coins!
Dodo: Again?!
Yes. Dodo flies to where the Penguin was and eats a campfire. He breathes fire on a block of ice and gets the Red Coin inside.
Dodo: My mouth burns!
Dodo eats some snow.
Dodo: Much better...
Dodo slides down the mountain and meets a familiar face.
Torpedo Girl: I’M A TORPEDO!
Dodo: Go away.
Torpedo Girl: No! Fight me!
Dodo: Why should I?
Torpedo Girl: First of all, there hasn’t been a good fight yet. Also, I have the other seven Red Coins!
Torpedo Girl shows Dodo the coins.
Dodo: *sigh* Fine.
Torpedo Girl: Torpedo away!
Torpedo Girl launches herself at Dodo, who sidesteps and Torpedo Girl hits a wall.
Torpedo Girl: Ow! My nose!
Dodo grabs Torpedo Girl by the legs and swings her around and throws her off the mountain.
Dodo: I win!
Torpedo Girl: NO YOU DON’T!
Torpedo Girl flies back up and punches Dodo into a wall.
Dodo: SUPER FIST OF THE CHUBBY BIRD: POTTED PLANT ATTACK!
Dodo hits Torpedo Girl with a lamp.
Torpedo Girl: That wasn’t a potted plant, you idiot!
Dodo: My spare plotted plant is getting cleaned!
Dodo pecks at Torpedo Girl. Torpedo Girl dodges and kicks Dodo in the gut.
Dodo: Oof!
Dodo eats a campfire and breathes fire at Torpedo Girl, defeating her.
Torpedo Girl: I’ll be back!
Torpedo Girl flies away and Dodo gets
his seven Red Coins and the Power Star. He warps to the castle and then
reenters the painting.
Chapter 31: The headless Snowman! AAAAHHH!
Dodo reappears on Cool Cool Mountain.
Dodo: Let’s get this over with.
Dodo flies up past the campfire and sees a small snowball.
Body: Hey! I need a head! Lead me to one!
Dodo: How did you talk?
Body: ... Shut up.
Dodo races down the mountain with Body following him. Dodo sees the snowman’s head but is run over by Body.
Dodo: GAH!
Body keeps rolling and smashes onto the platform and the snowman’s head flies on top of Body.
Snowman: Wow, this body is great... Hey, where are you?
Dodo (stuck in Body): Just pass my prize in here!
Snowman: Okay!
Snowman gives Dodo the Power Star. Dodo warps to the castle.
Dodo: I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!
Don’t worry, just one more Star, then Larry.
Dodo: ... Fine.
Dodo heads upstairs into Peach’s Game Room.
Toad: Hi!
Dodo: DIE, TOAD!
Dodo eats Toad and hops into a nearby
painting.
Chapter 32: Tropical Sun and Silver Stars!
Dodo appears on Sunshine Isles.
Dodo: This place is nice. I could just stay here...
Dodo is struck by lightning for his insolence.
Dodo: All right, all right!
Dodo walks to his left and is attacked by a Lakitu.
Lakitu: Die!
Lakitu throws a Spiny at Dodo, who catches it and throws it back.
Lakitu: Ow! You’re so mean!
The Lakitu flies away crying.
Dodo: ...
Dodo collects the nearby Silver Star.
Dodo: One down.
Dodo flies onto a nearby platform for another Silver Star, and collects the third one on a nearby palm tree. He goes into a small cave in the platforms and gets the fourth Silver Star.
Dodo: Just one left.
A Klepto flies past with the last Silver Star in his clutches.
Dodo: Give me that Star!
Klepto: No.
Dodo: Please?
Klepto: No.
Dodo: I’ll be your buddy.
Klepto: No!
Dodo: ... Then die!
Dodo eats Klepto and the Silver Star, which makes the Power Star appear in the orb.
Dodo: Hooray!
Dodo smashes the orb.
Dodo: Ow! Glass still hurts!
Dodo grabs the Power Star and is warped to the Play Room.
Dodo: Now to rescue Larry.
Dodo enters the next room. It’s empty except for a couch, a window, and a painting of Luffy from One Piece.
Dodo: Why is that there?!
Dodo shrugs it off and enters the painting.
Chapter 33: Larry’s Rescue!
Dodo appears in the evil swamp... world... place... thingy.
Dodo: Let’s do this thing!
Dodo charges forward and is met by a Goomba.
Goomba: You must face The Five Furious Goombas to get to Goomboss!
Dodo: ... Fine. Are you one of them?
Goomba: ... No.
Dodo stomps on the Goomba and continues on. He eventually meets a Goomba with samurai clothing and a sword.
Samurai Goomba: I am the first of The Five Furious Goombas!
Dodo: Let’s just fight.
Samurai Goomba: ... Fine.
Samurai Goomba charges at Dodo and slashes him with his sword. Dodo retaliates by kicking Samurai Goomba into the poison mist.
Samurai Goomba: Curses! I have been... defeated... *dies*
Dodo: Lame!
Dodo continues on and comes across a Goomba with an afro.
Disco Goom: Disco Goom! Coming at you!
Dodo: That doesn’t rhyme...
Disco Goom: You’re right! My life is meaningless! *explodes*
Dodo: ... *sigh*
Dodo comes across a Goomba with boxing gloves floating where his hands would be if he had any.
Rocky Goombowa: ‘Ey. I’m gunna beet you up mah f’iend.
Dodo: What?
Rocky Goombowa: ‘Ay said-
Dodo: What?
Rocky Goombowa: CHICKEN!
Rocky Goombowa explodes.
Dodo: ...
Dodo comes across a Goomba with cool shades and one with swirly glasses.
Goomba the Cool: We are the last of The Five Furious Goombas!
Goomba the Lame: Indeed.
Dodo eats the two idiot Goombas and jumps into a hole. He comes face-to-face with Goomboss.
Goomboss: You, without a mustache! You will DIE!
Dodo: Really?
Goomboss: I’d appreciate it.
Dodo: ... No.
Goomboss: Fine.
Goomboss charges at Dodo, who flies over Goomboss’s head. He pecks at the back of Goomboss’ head.
Goomboss: Curse you!
Goomboss grows bigger.
Dodo: Oh crud!
Dodo takes out a bomb and throws it at Goomboss.
Goomboss: GAH!
Goomboss grows more.
Goomboss: DIE!
Goomboss charges again. Dodo sticks out his foot, tripping Goomboss and sending him over the edge.
Goomboss: AAAAAAAHhhhhhhhh...
A key appears. Dodo gets the key and is warped to the room with five doors.
Dodo: Finally...
Dodo unlocks the door with an L above it, and enters. Larry pops out.
Larry: Wahoo! My time to shine!
Unfortunately, this is done for now!
Larry: Say what?!
