has ranked all of Mario World's enemies based on their power. Note: Bosses
that are fought more than once have been ranked based on their strongest
form.
Rank | Name | HP | Attack | Defense | About Enemy |
123 | Mini-Yux | 1 | 0 | 0 | This creature can't even attack, and is only there for defense. It also only takes one shot to kill. No defense either. |
122 | Mini-X-Yux | 1 | 0 | 0 | This creature is basically a Mini-Yux except for the fact it belongs to a stronger parent then Yux. |
121 | Mini-Z-Yux | 2 | 0 | 0 | This creature still doesn't have any attack or defense. It gets ahead of its other prototypes due to the fact it has 2 HP. |
120 | Goomba | 2 | 1 | 0 | Well it's a refreshing change to see that Goomba isn't the weakest in a game. But it has one weak attack that's very easy to guard against. Don't count on these creatures becoming formidable foes any time soon. |
119 | Paragoomba | 2 | 1 | 0 | Just a Goomba with wings. Still very weak and pathetic. These guys arguably have easier attacks to guard than Goombas. |
118 | Spiky Goomba | 2 | 2 | 0 | Well they do have higher attack power than their other Goomba friends, but they still should easily be killed by one hammer attack. |
117 | Spinia | 3 | 1 | 0 | Despite being weak, this guy is still one of the coolest foes in this game. I expected more from him based on the way he looks, but I guess not. Even so, he's still a very cool character. |
116 | Spania | 3 | 1 | 0 | A Spinia with spikes. I'm glad this guy isn't too strong; he made Spinia look bad. This guy looks weak, and he actually is. The spikes don't even raise his HP a little. A hammer attack should be more than enough to beat him. |
115 | Dull Bones | 1 | 2 | 1 | Just when you think there can't be a skeleton guy weaker than Dry Bones, Nintendo comes around and proves you wrong with this guy, who can be killed with any attack that does 2 damage. |
114 | Koopa Troopa | 4 | 2 | 1 | Again, another relatively weak foe. It takes a couple of hits to kill them, but their attacks are very easy to guard against. |
113 | K.P. Koopa | 4 | 2 | 1 | All that glitters isn't gold. This foe goes to prove it. Aside from the gold coloring there is no difference at all between this Koopa and a regular Koopa. |
112 | Gold Fuzzy | 10 | 1 | 0 | How can a foe with 10 HP be this close to the end? Simple: it has horrible attacks. Unlike normal Fuzzies, this thing doesn't even suck your HP, making it virtually useless. Even with the Fuzzy Hoard this Fuzzy is still an easy foe to beat . |
111 | Paratroopa | 4 | 2 | 1 | A Koopa with wings. However, if it attacks when it still has its wings, it can be somewhat hard to guard against at first. But once you hit it once, it's just a Koopa Troopa, which is easy to beat. |
110 | K.P. Paratroopa | 4 | 2 | 1 | Like I said before, all that glitters isn't gold. Just a Paratroopa that has a cooler shell color. |
109 | Fuzzy | 3 | 1 | 0 | Despite having less HP then Gold Fuzzy, at least this thing can drain your HP. Its attack takes time to guard against, but once you do, it will seem too easy fighting these guys |
108 | Dark Puff | 3 | 2 | 0 | It's funny how this thing has "dark" in its name when it's not even a gray or black cloud. Anyway, really easy to beat. Even if it uses its charged attack, it isn't that hard to guard against. |
107 | X-Naut | 4 | 3 | 0 | It has the most attack power out of all the foes behind it, but the attack it uses isn't too hard to guard against. These guys have no DP either. They can get annoying when you fight them often. |
106 | Pale Piranha | 4 | 2 | 0 | Like Dull Bones, just when you think there isn't a weaker plant than Piranha Plant, Nintendo proves you wrong. The attacks of this guy can take time to master, but once you guard against it a couple of times it gets easy to guard. |
105 | Pider | 5 | 2 | 0 | A typical spider guy who has no defense, making him easy to beat. His attacks aren't really too hard to guard against. They can attack multiple times in one turn though. |
104 | Blooper | 12 | 1 | 0 | Another high HP foe toward the end of the list. It's because the HP means nothing when attacks are easy to guard against and only do 1 damage. |
103 | Yuk | 3 | 2 | 0 | Its attacks are very slow and easy to guard against. It gets annoying with all those Mini-Yuxs, but once those are gone, there's nothing hard about this guy. |
102 | Pokey | 4 | 3 | 0 | The worst part about fighting these guys is when they call for backup and more Pokeys show up. Other then that, nothing is too hard about the fight. |
101 | Bandit | 5 | 2 | 0 | What's annoying is when they steal your items. If you get how to guard down, these guys won't trouble you. If they take an item, get rid of that Bandit first (I learned this when I had my Jammin' Jelly stolen). |
100 | Bob-omb | 4 | 2 | 1 | These guys aren't really hard. Just guard against the explosion and you'll be good. These guys are also pretty easy to take out in one attack, so if you're like me, you won't have to deal with the explosions that often. |
99 | Red Bones | 5 | 3 | 1 | He attacks the same way as Dull Bones. The same attacks will work on him. The only thing different is he has more HP and he can regenerate once his HP reaches 0, which is very annoying. |
98 | Big Bandit | 8 | 3 | 0 | Bigger isn't always better. Well, it is a little in this case, but not enough to make a difference. Just fight these guys the same way as you would fight Bandits. |
97 | Bald Cleft | 2 | 1 | 2 | These guys are pretty easy. The have the slowest attacks ever. The defense is really the only thing that might be a problem. Use POW Blocks to flip it over and kill it if you don't have attacks that do more than 2 damage. |
96 | Cleft | 2 | 2 | 2 | This thing has incredibly slow attacks that should be easy to guard against. Use strong hammer attacks to beat it. |
95 | Green Fuzzy | 5 | 3 | 0 | Just a normal Fuzzy, except it sucks up 3 HP at a time. Still easy to guard against if you got the timing down. They can also multiply, which can be annoying. |
94 | Flower Fuzzy | 5 | 3 | 0 | Just like a Green Fuzzy, except it sucks up FP, which in my opinion isn't as bad as HP. Multiplying is still annoying. |
93 | Vivian | 10 | 1 | 0 | The weakest of the Shadow Sirens. Her attacks can be somewhat hard to guard against, but they cause little damage and she's pretty easy to kill due to having no defense. |
92 | Lakitu | 5 | 2 | 0 | He's more annoying then hard. The Spinies he throws are pretty hard to beat, but Lakitu himself isn't that hard unless he holds up a Spiny egg, which then limits your attacks, as you can't jump or hammer him, since he's in air. |
91 | Gloomba | 7 | 3 | 0 | I don't see how being dark blue made this Goomba any stronger than a regular Goomba, but apparently it did. Its attacks are still easy to guard against, but it now might take a second hit to kill this guy. |
90 | Paragloomba | 7 | 3 | 0 | So it looks like the Goomba trio has gone dark. Well, I still don't know how it made them any stronger, but apparently it has. Its attacks are just as easy to guard against as before. |
89 | Spiky Gloomba | 7 | 4 | 0 | If you know how to guard well against a Spiky Goomba's attacks, then this guy shouldn't be much different. It guess you could say it kind of has decent attack power. |
88 | Swooper | 6 | 3 | 0 | This guy is hard to hit when he hangs from ceilings. It's best to have the Hammer Throw badge equipped. Other then that, not too much HP, so he shouldn't be too hard. |
87 | Grodus X | 3 | 4 | 0 | Why is this guy so far up, you ask? Well, it's because not only do they annoy the living daylights out of me, but on top of that they can attack you, which can be very hard to guard against for some (like me). Plus, when Grodus has 3, he can get 9-12 damage on you with these, which is horrible. |
86 | Bullet Bill | 2 | 4 | 1 | It's not bad if you take these guys out before they attack, as a simple jump attack should be enough to beat them. They can be tough if you let them live long enough to attack and cause damage. |
85 | Magus Von Grapple | 30 | 2 | 1 | A boss this low? Well yes. Mangus Von Grapple is the worst excuse for a boss. Any attack will work on him, so little offensive strategy is needed to beat him. His attacks are weak and easy to guard against. The rocket fists don't even do anything, as if you're smart, you'll just attack them and they won't be able to cause damage. Overall, just a weak boss. I was considering ranking him lower but I was feeling nice, and was generous in placing him this high. |
84 | Bristle | 2 | 1 | 4 | You can't jump or hammer this guy. It's best to use star attacks, Hammer Throw, or to flip him over with an explosion. These guys are annoying if you're low on FP or items. |
83 | Crazee Dayzee | 7 | 2 | 0 | Nothing is too crazy about these guys. Half the time they just flee, so you don't always have to fight them. Their lullaby attack is hard to guard against and will put you asleep sometimes. If you can guard against the first attack, you can generally take these guys out on the next turn. |
82 | Hyper Goomba | 8 | 2 | 0 | Another version of a Goomba? This is the toughest form, as they can charge up their attacks to deal great damage. Still, you should be able to super-guard if you have mastered guarding against Goombas. |
81 | Hyper Paragoomba | 8 | 2 | 0 | This is the last version of the Goomba trio. Again, its charged attacks can do great damage, but it's not that hard to super-guard against. |
80 | Hyper Spiky Goomba | 8 | 3 | 0 | This guy is pretty tough. He can charge his attack up to 9, and super-guarding is pretty hard. It's best to take him out before the other two Hyper Goombas. |
79 | Hyper Bald Cleft | 3 | 2 | 2 | I'm just not liking this whole "hyper" theme. Sure it can charge attacks, but it doesn't have any unique attacks. It can be beaten in one turn with a strong hammer attack. |
78 | Hyper Cleft | 4 | 3 | 3 | As said before, its attacks are still slow and still somewhat easy to super-guard against. It's still able to be beaten on the first turn. |
77 | Iron Cleft | 6 | 4 | NA | It's impossible to damage this guy at first, but once you get Yoshi, Gulp will do the deal. Really without Yoshi it would be impossible to beat these guys. Luckily, Yoshi makes it easy to beat them in a shot or two from his Gulp. |
76 | Bulky Bob-omb | 6 | 2 | 1 | He may be huge, but seeing as you have 4 turns to beat him before he explodes, that should be plenty of time to take him out. |
75 | Boo | 7 | 3 | 0 | Their attacks aren't that hard to guard against, but what gets you is when they turn invisible. Then they can get ahead in a hurry. |
74 | Bill Blaster | 5 | NA | 2 | These guys don't attack, instead they shoot Bullet Bills. The thing that makes them difficult is their defense. It takes a couple of hits to take them out, and then you have to worry about the Bullet Bills in between. |
73 | Lava Bubble | 6 | 4 | 0 | It's a flame. Plain and simple. It attacks by torching you. Its attacks are fairly hard to guard well against. Still, they have low HP, so they can be easily taken out in one turn. |
72 | Ember | 8 | 3 | 0 | It's basically a blue Lava Bubble with higher HP. The higher HP may take you two turns to take it out. Like Lava Bubble, its attacks are fairly hard to guard against, and it will take time for you to learn how to guard well against their attacks. |
71 | Spiny | 3 | 3 | 3 | These guys are pretty tough. Well, their attacks aren't. They have good defense, and when you fight these guys there will be only a few attacks that can deal damage to them. They also can curl into balls and can't be damaged then, so that's always annoying. |
70 | Badge Bandit | 12 | 5 | 0 | The worst of the Bandit family. They steal badges, which is arguably the worst. They attack the same way as Bandits. You have to guard very well or else it will take a badge and flee next turn, and it has high HP so you may not be able to take it out in time. |
69 | Gus | 20 | 3 | 0 | If you fight him right when you can, which is early on in the game, you'll surely lose. If you wait until you need to get through, then he'll be easy to get past. He throws spears, which aren't too hard to guard against. |
68 | Ruff Puff | 7 | 4 | 0 | Really not much different from Dark Puff. It has low HP and defense, so it shouldn't be too hard to beat. However, when it charges up, its lightning attack is much stronger, so watch out for that. |
67 | Phantom Ember | 10 | 5 | 0 | A tougher Ember. Not really. Just more HP. By the time you fight these guys, you would have fought tons of Lava Bubbles and Embers, so you should be able to guard against their attacks well by now. I mean, it looks cool, but a new attack would have been nice... |
66 | Dark Boo | 8 | 5 | 0 | It's funny how its "dark" but its purple. Either way, these guys really aren't different from Boos. With virtually the same HP, they aren't too much harder to take out. Watch out for when they turn invisible. That's the only part where you might have trouble. |
65 | Boomerang Bro | 7 | 2 | 1 | Sure their boomerangs return a second time, but they're still pretty easy to guard against. It has moderate HP and some defense, so it might take a turn or two to beat these guys. Just keep your head up and watch for that second boomerang, and you should be fine. |
64 | Fire Bro | 7 | 3 | 1 | A step up from Boomerang Bros. Their attacks can burn you, so it's important to guard well. Again, moderate HP and some defense, but not overwhelmingly juiced up with stats. If you guard against the fireballs and don't get burned you should be good. |
63 | Hammer Bro | 7 | 4 | 1 | One of the most well known Mario enemies. It's a step up from Fire Bro. It throws hammers that can be hard to guard against sometimes. They throw more hammers when they're low on HP, so watch out for that. |
62 | Koopatrol | 6 | 4 | 2 | So, these guys aren't too tough. Their attacks do take time to learn how to guard against. They have some DP, so attacks need to be strong in order to do damage. They can call for backup, which is annoying. Occasionally they'll charge up, so their next attack does a lot of damage. If you see one charging, take that one out first. |
61 | Doopliss | 40 | 4 | 0 | Here lies another boss I wasn't thrilled with. Doopliss has incredibly low attack and defense for a boss. He usually headbonks you, which is just as hard to guard against as a Goombas. Even when he takes the shape of one of your partners, his attacks are predictable, and you'll know how to guard those. Another boss who was too easy. Maybe he should have been behind Magnus Von Grapple... |
60 | Atomic Boo | 40 | 4 | 0 | That's right, Doopliss wasn't even the strongest thing in Creepy Steeple. He has the exact same stats as Doopliss, which is sad, as he's not even a boss. His attacks are harder to guard against than Doopliss' attacks. He releases Boos at you, and trust me, that's harder to guard against than dumb old headbonks. |
59 | Magikoopa | 7 | 4 | 0 | This guy is a lot tougher than I thought he'd be. He and his forms use tons of different magic. They can create copies, boost attack and defense, turn invisible or electrified, and replenish HP. These guys are tough to be if you don't take them out on the first turn. |
58 | Green Magikoopa | 7 | 4 | 0 | See Magikoopa. |
57 | White Magikoopa | 7 | 4 | 0 | See Magikoopa. |
56 | Red Magikoopa | 7 | 4 | 0 | See Magikoopa. |
55 | Putrid Piranha | 8 | 3 | 0 | Another plant weaker than Piranha Plant? Yup. It attacks the same way that Pale Piranha attacked, but this Piranha can spit poison, which is hard to guard against and can poison you. |
54 | Spunia | 12 | 7 | 2 | Apparently purple makes everything stronger. This is basically a Spania, only purple. It's a lot stronger, but it still attacks the same way as before, making its attacks still easy to guard against. Its attacks can do some damage, but they're not too hard to guard against. |
53 | Arantula | 16 | 7 | 0 | The weakest foe that is exclusive to the Pit of 100 Trials . Sure they have good attack and HP, but their attacks are pretty simple to guard against. Sure they can launch multiple attacks, but they aren't too hard to beat. |
52 | Amazy Dayzee | 20 | 20 | 1 | Yes, I but you guys think I'm being unjust by putting the foe with the strongest attacks in the middle. It's because these things flee every time. I've fought these things 3 times. I killed them once. On the two times I didn't, they ran right away. If they stay, they use a tough lullaby attack (so I'm told) that deals massive damage. I doubt you'll ever become subject to its attacks though. |
51 | Z-Yux | 7 | 4 | 0 | They shoot little rings as attacks. The rings aren't too difficult to guard against. The problem is when they surround themselves win Mini-Z-Yux's. Those give Z-Yux more power than before due to it getting a free attacking turn basically. |
50 | Hooktail | 20 | 5 | 1 | Pretty high ranked for the first boss of the game, huh? Well, Hooktail certainly deserves this. Hooktail's attacks deal massive damage. The firebreath attack is really hard to guard against. Most likely when you fight Hooktail you'll only have between 20-30 HP, making her attacks do a lot of hurt. Yeah, the toughest first boss in any game I've ever played. Of course, if you took the easy way out and used the badge that makes cricket sounds, you probably don't know anything I'm talking about. |
49 | Ice Puff | 9 | 4 | 0 | If they had some defense, they would have been higher. Again, another form of Puff. This one is like the same. It attacks by floating into you, and charges up. It charges up snow and ice, which can be hard to guard against. Its blizzard attack can also freeze you, which is painful. Still, the lack of defense makes these guys easy to take out in a shot or two. |
48 | Swoopula | 9 | 4 | 0 | Again, would have been tougher with defense. These guys swoop on you and suck up your HP and use it to replenish theirs. However, the lack of defense makes these guys easy to beat in a shot or two. If you take them out quickly, you won't have to worry about guarding against their HP-sucking attack. |
47 | X-Yux | 10 | 3 | 1 | So, some unique attacks would have been good. These guys are the toughest of the Yux trio. The only thing that makes them tougher is that they have more HP and a little defense. Still, you should be plenty used to their attacks by now and shouldn't struggle too hard when guarding them. |
46 | Rawk Hawk | 40 | 4 | 1 | You can't beat the RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK! Actually, you can. 45 people show you that. Still, by all means, this guy means business. All his attacks are strong and quick. His worst is when he grabs hold of the roof, shakes it, and causes objects to rain down on you. The attack isn't the worst, it's the fact that it's hard to find attacks to knock him off the roof. |
45 | Lord Crump | 30 | 3 | 0 | I love you to death, Crump, but I've got to be fair here. You were tough. Your bodyslams weren't, but when you roll on that ball of X-Nauts that was pretty hard to guard against. However, any attack will work on you, and your HP just isn't too high. I love you to death, and I really wish I could rank you higher, but alas, I cannot. |
44 | Shady Koopa | 8 | 3 | 1 | A tougher Koopa than you'd expect. Sure, it attacks by slamming i's shell into you. But when you flip it on its shell, it can use a powerful attack. Its harder to guard its attacks when it's on its back. It also has more HP, making it tougher. These guys were pretty fun to fight. |
43 | Shady Paratroopa | 8 | 3 | 1 | A Shady Koopa with wings. Being aerial prevents hammer attacks from working, but one jump and you got it on the ground. Its attacks from the air are harder than a normal Shady Koopa's, but still, their attack when they're on their backs are by far the toughest to guard against. |
42 | Red Chomp | 6 | 5 | 3 | Why must I keep ranking the coolest foes in the middle? Well, these guys certainly are tough. They have quick attacks, as well as some serious power. They also have a good amount of defense, which limits the power you can get from attacks. Overall a tough foe, but this IS TTYD after all, and it seems every foe is incredibly strong. |
41 | Magnus Von Grapple 2.0 | 70 | 6 | 2 | Another definition for disappointment. Seriously, I was expecting so much more. Sure he was a step up from Magnus Von Grapple, sure he added new attacks, but he still didn't lose the fact that he's an overrated bucket of bolts. All he does is this drill attack that isn't too hard to guard against. Sure he has machine guns, but you can just take those out. You're awesome, Crump, but your robot is a piece of garbage. |
40 | Dry Bones | 8 | 5 | 2 | It was only a matter of time before we got to him. He may be a bit stronger than normal in this game. He has good HP, good attack, and good defense. He's a very balanced foe. He can revive himself once his HP reaches 0, and can create more Dry Bones. He attacks like all the other skeletons do: by throwing bones. |
39 | Dark Lakitu | 13 | 5 | 0 | Why is everything stronger in its dark form? Regardless, this is a stronger Lakitu. As you might have inferred, it throws stronger Spinies, which can be pests. It attacks by throwing pipes, which Sky Blue Spinies will roll out of. It still doesn't have any defense, do if you get it before it puts its Spiny Ball on its head you should be fine. |
38 | Frost Piranha | 10 | 5 | 0 | More plants below the actual Piranha Plant? Yes. This plant attacks the same way as others. The only difference is that it has more HP and if you fail to guard against its bites, it can freeze you. |
37 | Dark Craw | 20 | 6 | 0 | Gus's evil twin? Maybe, but even so, he's a lot tougher, despite having the same HP. His attacks do much more damage, and he attacks by throwing spears at you or chatging at you with one. |
36 | X-Naut PhD | 9 | 4 | 0 | The X-Naut science unit. They attack by throwing chemicals at you. They can sometimes use potions to raise their stats, which can be troublesome. |
35 | Elite X-Naut | 10 | 5 | 1 | The toughest of them all. They attack by using body slams as well as throwing potions. Like X-Naut PhD's, they will use potions to enhance their stats. |
34 | Kammy Koopa | 50 | 5 | 0 | The wicked witch is back! She's pretty powerful for an old lady. She'll attack by using her magic wand. She's also on a broomstick sometimes, which prevents hammer attacks from working. She'll also replenish Bowser's HP, so be sure to take her out first. |
33 | Buzzy Beetle | 5 | 3 | 4 | These beetles have way too much defense. The only way to beat them is by using powerful hammer attacks or flipping them over with an explosion. Still, their massive defense makes them a foe to be reckoned with. |
32 | Spike Top | 5 | 3 | 4 | A Buzzy Beetle with a spike. Since jumps wouldn't work with Buzzy Beetle, the spike has little effect. However, you can't flip them over, so you'll have to use your hammer when fighting these guys. |
31 | R.S. Buzzy | 5 | 3 | 4 | A Spike Top that's red. Yeah, not much different. Fight them the same way as you would a Spike Top. |
30 | Dark Koopa | 8 | 4 | 2 | It seems everything that's dark is stronger. This goes for Dark Koopas too. These guys are the toughest Koopas. They have good HP, attack, and defense. Like Shady Koopas, they can launch devastating attacks once flipped over. |
29 | Dark Paratroopa | 8 | 4 | 2 | A Dark Koopa with wings. Once you hit it once it will become a normal Dark Koopa, and then the same fighting strategy applies. |
28 | Poison Pokey | 8 | 4 | 0 | These guys are hard. If their attacks weren't hard enough to guard against, they can now poison you, and call for others. These guys throw parts of themselves at you or they on you. Either way, it's hard to guard against their attacks. |
27 | Parabuzzy | 5 | 3 | 4 | The beetles are very strong here. Normal jumps won't do it here. Since you can't hammer it, you have to do special jumps or use star moves to knock the wings off these guys. Overall, tough to damage. |
26 | Spiky Parabuzzy | 5 | 3 | 4 | Even tougher to damage than Parabuzzy. Since it has a spike, you can't even jump OR hammer it. The only moves that work are star moves or if you have the Hammer Bhrow badge equipped. Other than that, it's very hard to find attacks that work on these guys due to their high defense. |
25 | Dark Bones | 20 | 5 | 2 | The toughest dead creature in the game. These guys have high everything. It will take several turns to take these guys out. The worst part: they can revive themselves once dead! As if it weren't hard enough to beat them the first time. |
24 | Dark Koopatrol | 25 | 5 | 2 | The toughest thing in the Glitz Pit. Yes, even tougher than the Rawk. This guy attacks with quick moves that can be hard to guard against. He also has high HP, and with good defense, attacks won't do much damage. Overall, it's a fight to the finish with this guy. |
23 | Sky Blue Spiny | 6 | 6 | 4 | Anyone else expecting a Dark Spiny? Well, I must say, this thing probably has the coolest name in the game. They have high defense and attack. Attacks don't do much damage. They can curl up and make themselves impervious to all attacks. They also have quick attacks that can deal damage in a hurry. |
22 | Bombshell Bill | 3 | 6 | 2 | Regular jumps won't do it. You must use some kind of special jump to take these out in one turn, as they have strong attacks that are hard to guard against. |
21 | Bombshell Bill Blaster | 10 | NA | 4 | These guys are very tough for foes that can't attack. All they do is shoot very strong Bombshell Bills. They take forever to beat, with their high defense and HP. Plus you have to keep taking out Bombshell Bills. |
20 | Bob-ulk | 10 | 4 | 2 | Huge. Strong. Powerful. That's Bob-ulk for you. You have 4 turns to beat this monstrous bomb, or else you'll be hurting all day. They take a while to beat, seeing as they have good defense and a good amount of HP. If you get more than 2 of these at once, you're as good as gone, as you'll never beat more than 2 of these guys in 4 turns. |
19 | Beldam | 30 | 5 | 0 | The leader of the Shadow Sirens. Her attacks aren't overwhelmingly powerful, but it's her magic that is. She can perform loads of magic, like raising stats for her and her fellow Shadow Sirens. If you take the other two out first, Beldam shouldn't be that hard to beat, as her attacks aren't too powerful. |
18 | Marilyn | 40 | 7 | 0 | The toughest of the Shadow Sirens. Her attacks can deal massive damage. She can even charge up for a monstrous attack. It's best to take her out before fighting the others, as her attacks can really hurt you. |
17 | Swampire | 20 | 6 | 0 | These HP-sucking monsters are no pushover. They steal your HP and use it for their own. They restore about 5 HP each turn, assuming you guard well, which will make for a long fight. These guys are really tough to beat. |
16 | Poison Puff | 15 | 8 | 0 | The toughest of the clouds. These guys are like all others, except they store poison, which is arguably the worst. When they attack with poison, it's very hard to guard against, and you'll most likely be poisoned. |
15 | Moon Cleft | 6 | 5 | 5 | The toughest of the rock heads. He has incredibly high defense, so there are few attacks that work well. He also has pretty high attack and HP. If you're good at guarding his attacks, super-guarding would work, but even so, these guys are very tough. |
14 | Piranha Plant | 15 | 9 | 0 | Who would have thought a Piranha Plant would be this strong? With a lot of HP, it takes a few turns to beat these guys. Plus, they dish out serious hurt with their attacks. Even if you guard well, you're still going to take 8 damage. |
13 | Dark Wizzerd | 10 | 5 | 2 | Very strong. It has good defense and attack, with a lot of HP. It can make copies of itself, heal itself, and use much more magic. These guys will give you a lot of trouble. |
12 | Wizzerd | 10 | 6 | 3 | Strong as always. The Wizzerd trio overall is the strongest in the game. It attacks with loads of magic. It can produce copies of itself. It has high HP and attack, as well as good defense. These guys can replenish HP, which is a total nag when you finally manage to get them down to 1 or 2 HP. |
11 | The Shadow Queen | 150 | 7 | 1 | Was the final boss of the game a dud? Pretty much. For a final boss, the Shadow Queen was pretty easy. She's the only final boss of a game I was able to beat on my first try. She has plenty of attacks. Most of them involve her hands, either slapping you or draining HP. Either way, they aren't too hard to guard against. She can charge up her attacks, but when she does, you simply use Vivian's veil. Pretty simple. She had plenty of moves, but they didn't cut it. Another boss that was a letdown... and this time it was the final boss. |
10 | Macho Grubba | 60 | 4 | 0 | Sure he doesn't have any defense, but he makes up for it in HP. He also uses power up moves, which raise attack, defense, evasiveness, and moves. Those are what make this fight so hard. He'll use different power-ups to his advantage, and will make it a long fight. The fight will be a long, hard one, but it's rewarding once you beat him. I can safely say this feels like the best fight ever, due to how lame the previous boss (*cough*MagnusVonGrapple*cough*) was. |
9 | Dark Bristle | 8 | 8 | 4 | These guys mean business. They have monster attack power, and deal serious damage. They also have high defense, along with good HP, causing it to take several turns in order to beat these guys. Due to they're spikes and spear, you can't hammer or jump on them. These guys are very difficult. Star moves and long distance attacks are about all that will work. |
8 | Bowser | 70 | 7 | 2 | It wouldn't be a game without Bowser, now would it? He's actually a pretty formidable foe in this game. He attacks by breathing fire and biting you, which can poison you. When fighting him be sure to take out Kammy first so she can't heal him. Bowser is tough, and you don't want him getting healed every other turn. |
7 | Chain Chomp | 7 | 6 | 5 | Bet none of you thought a basic foe would be this tough. But you're wrong. First off, Chain Chomp has super high DP. Most attacks only do a few damage to it. Second, you usually fight more than one at once, making the fight even worse. Finally, they attack quickly, and I can never guard against their attacks. The attacks are fast and difficult to guard against. For a basic Mario foe like this, I never expected it to be so tough. |
6 | Sir Grodus | 50 | 7 | 1 | For an evil villain, he certainly was tough like one. To start off, those Grodus X things that he deploys make you take time away from hitting him as you focus on those pests, leaving him time to hit you. His lightning attack is very hard to guard against. Grodus also uses a bunch more attacks that are also hard to guard against. Overall, probably the best designed boss in this game. I feel bad having to put you in the 6 slot, but there were just tougher dogs than you. Not many though... |
5 | Smorg | 50 | 5 | 1 | He doesn't look too overpowering by his stats, but trust me, he's way tougher than you'd think. Smorg has many tentacles, which you must use strategy to take out. He can let off several attacks on you. The hardest part is that you have to damage a certain red area, which you must knock off his tentacles to get to. Really words can't explain too well what makes Smorg so hard, he just is. |
4 | Elite Wizzerd | 12 | 8 | 5 | This is by far the toughest enemy I've ever faced that hasn't been a boss. To start off, it has incredibly high defense, making your hits do little damage. Secondly, it can create illusions of itself, which is pure annoying. Finally, its attacks are devastating. The magic it uses is hard to guard against, and a pain when it takes a ton of turns to kill him. I applaud Nintendo for this guy; he really is equal, if not greater, to the challenge of facing a major boss. |
3 | Cortez | 20 | 4 | 1 | No, don't think he only has 20 HP. You fight Cortez in four forms, with 20 HP in each form. Plus he heals himself on the final one, adding up to a total of 100 HP. Looking a bit tougher now, I see. Anyway, Cortez has an array of weapons and can attack you several times in a turn. The weapons are pretty hard to guard against. What's worst is that one of them can poison you, and there's nothing worse than being poisoned. |
2 | Gloomtail | 80 | 8 | 2 | As much as I want to put him at number 1, I can't, but I can put him at number 2. Gloomtail's main aspect is his mega-breath, which I found near impossible to guard against. When he charged up I was doomed. It took several attempts before I finally beat him, due to my Close Call badge coming in handy. I don't think there is a stronger attack in this game than mega-breath. After all, it's what made Gloomtail the all-powerful dragon that he is. |
1 | Bonetail | 200 | 8 | 1 | Normally I say HP doesn't matter; and that's not what put Bonetail in the number 1 spot. Bonetail's attacks deal massage damage. Combined with a bit of defense to make your attacks deal less than normal as well as that tremendous amount of HP, it just all spells out the message for a strong foe. I can say that I've yet to beat Bonetail to this day, as I've only fought him once and don't have the patience to go through the Pit of 100 Trials again. |
