U

Ukiki: They're monkey's, meaning they're mischievous. They can't cause damage directly, but in Mario 64 one can steal your hat on Tall Tall Mountain, which will cause you to take twice as much damage when hit. You'll need to chase down the monkey to get it back. A second monkey is at the top of the mountain; you need to catch him to get a Star. Ukiki also appears in Mario Party 4 and puts bananas in your path. Submitted by Bajihfyud.

Umbrelloid: A one-eyed umbrella monster that appears in the Pumpkin Zone of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They open up and attack whenever Mario approached them. Sent in by Paperlemmy.

Unagi: The one-of-a-kind eel from Jolly Roger Bay. He’ll hide in the ship if it’s still underwater. Go near him to make him come out. If it’s on the surface, he’ll wait in an alcove for you to approach him, and then will swim out with Star 2 on his tail. He’ll go out for a little swim and give you an opportunity to grab the Star. He is invincible. Submitted by Hip.

Uncle Grimmly: This spook is in the Wardrobe Room of Luigi's Mansion when the power is off. He holds the key to the Breaker Room, which had been recently locked. Submitted by Ludwig 222.

The Underchomp: A three-headed Chain Chomp that guards the Underwhere. Its three heads are colored red, blue, and yellow. Mario and company face off against it in a classic RPG style battle. Appears in Super Paper Mario. Sent in by Paperlemmy.

Undergrunt Gunner: A mole that fires on Mario from a domed tank. Found in several locations in Super Mario Galaxy, the challenge is to get close enough to his tank to jump on top and ground pound the dome. The challenge faced in getting close differs at each location, but three stomps is required each time. In two locations he gives up a Star, while at the third one defeating him reveals the way to a cannon.

Underhand: This white-gloved weirdo will reach out and grab you. You can’t beat it and it’s creepy,so just stay clear of it. From Super Paper Mario. Submitted by fuzzyboy10.

Unithorn: If Wario falls into a pit in Wario World, he'll fall into an underground room with these things. They are invincible and very annoying as well. Dodge them and try to find the Escape Spring in one of the crates. If they grab onto you, quickly shake the Control Stick to get away. Sent in by Ludwig 222.

Unshaven: A dirty slug that lives in Yoshi’s Island. He is not a dangerous baddy and is easily eaten, but Yoshi needs to watch out for the ones that slither on the ceiling.

Urchin: Only found in Forest of Illusion 2. When you see him early in the level he will slide in a small ravine, or something like one, like a Thwomp. Later in the level he will travel around blocks in the water slowly. He is invincible. Submitted by Ludwig 222.

V

Valentina: She’s not a member of the Koopa Troop, but she does face off against Mario in Mario RPG. She wants to be a queen but is not very nice to anybody who knows her. She is also very willing to fall in love, but is not always well received. She is very magical and can be quite dangerous to her foes.

Venus Fire Trap: Mario encounters these plants in Mario 3 quite a bit. They come in red and green (like any long-standing members of the Koopa Troop should), and can blow fire at anyone they choose to. They control their aim towards their target, but (lucky for the Mario Bros.) not very well. After Grass Land, they can breathe two fireballs, making life even more fun. How they live in quicksand is still unknown, although Piranha Plants ARE quite adaptable... Sent in by John.

Vincent van Gore: This is the final portrait ghost (other than King Boo) in Luigi's Mansion. You have to beat his 21 paintings before you can defeat him. He holds the key to the Secret Altar. Submitted by Ludwig 222.

Vine Crocodile: It eats vines. Yeah, and that's pretty much it. It also can kill your Mini-Mario by touching it. Found in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2. Sent in by Crazy Koopa.

Virus: Appearing in Dr. Mario, Dr. Mario 64, and Superstar Saga, they come in three colors: red, blue, and yellow. They can only be destroyed by matching one up with a megavitamin of the same color. Submitted by Jeff the Great. In Superstar Saga, Blue is the quickest, Red's best at jumping but can't move very fast, and Yellow runs quickly but jumps slowly. Additional info by Bobby.

Volcano Lotus: The Mario World answer to Lava Lotus, this plant only appears on land. That means that the fire flies up faster, and will come back down. The cape, a Koopa shell, or Yoshi's tounge make short work of them. An honored member of Bowser's troop, as they make it almost impossible for Mario to cross Tubular. Sent in by John.

Vomer: The Dry Bones of the Barrel Volcano in Mario RPG. Physical attacks can’t harm him, so you must use special attacks. Submitted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.

W

Waiter: These fellows are only found in the Dining Room of Luigi's Mansion, where Mr. Luggs is. Suck them up and go after Mr. Luggs' food. Submitted by David.

Walruss: An enemy from Super Princess Peach on Vibe  Island. According to the glossary, it "Apparently spends time on ice eating snow cones." Just whack it a few times to beat it. Submitted by Paperlemmy.

Wario: He’s not a member of the Koopa Troop, but he is very evil, at least towards Mario. Some say he is Mario’s evil twin, and some say he is his cousin. I really don’t know. Either way, he is extremely greedy, and likes to take over lands and castles. He is very bothersome to Mario, which is helpful to our cause.

Warpids: Annoying creatures that live in the vacuum of outer space. As their name, implies they warp around a lot, usually to a position closer to Mario and co. They appear in Super Paper Mario. Sent in by Paperlemmy.

Wart: The boss of Mario 2. He took over the dream land of Sub-con so that he could create mischief as he pleased. He also used the dream machine to create all of the Mario 2 baddies. He is very evil, but unfortunately he is not very creative, which is why he has never attacked since Mario 2. He attacks with bubbles, which are very dangerous and threaten a large area. He can be defeated by vegetables, which he hates, although he has to eat seven of them to get indigestion.

Webber: A giant spider boss in Wario Land 3 and Doctor Mario 64. He's the boss of the first level in Wario Land 3, but the second-to-last boss that Wario can face. He can spit webs at Wario and transform him into a ball of string that rolls right off of the arena! In Doctor Mario 64, he's the third boss. Submitted by The Dryest Bones.

Whirly Fly Guy: A flashing, flying Shy Guy that appears in Yoshi's Island. His one location is World 2-7. If you throw eggs at him, he'll give you coins, and if you attack him enough times he'll vanish and you could get something. And no, if you eat him, the egg will not flash. Submitted by Extreme nintendo master.

White Clubba: These baddies from Paper Mario appear on Shiver Mountain, and one is near the Mega Jump badge. They are just stronger, ice-resistant Clubbas, and still don't really pose much of a threat. Sent in by Guest256.

White Magikoopa: These Magikoopas from Paper Mario wear the high-ranked white cloak. They can heal one enemy by 5 HP or all by 3. Submitted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.

Whomp: A stone wall creature that tries to make a pancake of Mario (literally) in Mario 64, and who likes to block paths in Mario Parties 1 and 2 and also 3. His only attack is crushing you with a body slam. You can beat him by slipping under him when he jumps and ground-pounding his crack. An experienced Mario will take him out like yesterday's garbage, but an inexperienced Mario is gonna be needing some maple syrup to go with. Sent in by Aleth.

Whomp King: The boss of Whomp's Fortress in Super Mario 64, you must make him fall flat on his face, then Ground Pound his back. Submitted by I Larry Koopa I.

Wiggler: A large caterpillar that appears in Mario World, Mario RPG, Yoshi’s Island, and Mario 64. Usually he is quiet and peaceful, but if he is stomped he gets very angry and very dangerous, and he becomes invincible. He can be defeated by a cape spin, and also makes good food for Yoshi. He gains wings in Yoshi’s Island, but isn’t any more dangerous.

Wild Ptooie Piranha: A green Piranha Plant that spits Needlenoses in Yoshi's Island. He is first green (duh) then yellow then red and then dies. The bad thing about him is that when he is yellow or red and you scroll off the screen he'll become green again! He is pretty hard when he is in numbers. Submitted by Ludwig 222.

Wind Drop: A Gusty-like creature from Yoshi's Island. It moves vertically and horizontally. Stomp it or eat it for an egg. Submitted by Ludwig 222.

Wind Spirit: Very annoying. At high altitudes in Mario Sunshine, these guys appear and are ready to knock you off! Be careful! Submitted by Moses Kim.

Windbag: It's a windbag that likes blowing wind. Mostly found with Nipper Spores. Found in Yoshi's Island DS. Sent in by Crazy Koopa.

Winter Windster: The boss of Shivering Mountains in Wario World. Throw the rocks it drops into the lava holes so that the lava that comes out can hit the Windster. You can also stun it by getting hit by the wind attack it does, breaking free of the ice, then punching the Windster when it's on the ground. It takes five Mad Moves when it's stunned to defeat it. Sent in by Ludwig 222.

Wizard: He/she is the boss of Pumpkin Zone and attacks by throwing fireballs at you and teleporting around the arena. Found in Super Mario Land 2. Sent in by Mr.Nose.

Wizzerd: A weird yellow wizard machine guy found in PM2. They tend to come in many varieties and cast magic attacks. Submitted by Blue Boo.

Wonder Thwack: A glowing Thwack from space. Like a normal Thwack, but stronger. Found in Partners in Time. Submitted by tatanga.

Wracktail: The prototype of Fracktail made by the ancients. He was not good at all so he was sent to the bottom of the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials guarding Dashell for some reason. Found in Super Paper Mario. Sent in by Crazy Koopa.

Wrench Guy: A Shy Guy that throws wreches in Mario VS Donkey. Jump over his wrenches and attack him like you would a regular Shy Guy. Submitted by Lemmy Koopa 2280.

X

X-Naut: A basic henchmen in the X-Naut organization found in PM2. They're cool little dudes who carry out Grodus and Lord Crump's commands. Submitted by Blue Boo.

X-Naut PhD: An X-Naut that throws potions and chemicals at you in the X-Naut fortress of PM2. The potions sometimes cause status effects on you or your partner. Submitted by Siro.

X-Yux: An extremely powerful and rare Yux that guards important areas in the X-Naut fortress of PM2. Unlike the other Yuxes, these creatures call forth two Mini-Yuxs each turn. Submitted by Siro.

Y

Yaridovich: A spear-headed foe that steals your fifth Star after you get it from Johnny. He does mirage attacks and has strong control of the Water Blast and Flame Stone attacks. He REALLY hates lightning, so have Mallow around. Also, when he splits, it is easy to tell which one is fake. The fake one will attack right after the cloning, and will also take more damage than the original. Submitted by John.

Yellow Magikoopa: A Magikoopa from Paper Mario who wears a yellow cloak (by now you should know that). He can electrify an enemy, making physical attacks like jumping hazardous to your health. Submitted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.

Yo Bro: This enemy is found in Woohoo Hooniversity and uses yo-yos to attack. It has a lot of HP at the time, but he shouldn't be a major problem. The color of the yo-yo he uses to attack is the color of the brother he will attack. Sent in by Ludwig 222.

Yoob: A HUGE alien Yoshi from the same planet as the Shroobs from Partners in Tome. It will eat just about anything, but doesn't seem to like Koopas that much (it spat out Kamek and Kylie). Good news for Lemmy, right? His stomach's so big, you could actually live there! I think I might; it looks neat! Submitted by Paperlemmy.

Yurarin: These little guys may be cute, but they'll do damage to Mario's submarine if they get too close! They are the underlings of Dragonzamasu, the boss of the Muda Kingdom (World 2) in Super Mario Land. They live in water and tremble slightly as they swim. Two torpedoes should beat them! Submitted by Paperlemmy.

Yurarin Boo: This is the older, and tougher, brother of Yurarin from Super Mario Land. It moves up and down out of the water, spitting fireballs at Mario. Tthe worst part is, superballs don't affect them! Mario just has to dodge them the best he can. Submitted by Paperlemmy.

Yux: A green creature developed by the X-Nauts in PM2. They can generate Mini-Yux to protect themselves. At least until the Mini-Yux is destroyed... Submitted by Blue Boo.

Z

Zeostar: Like Starslap, but green, and smart enough to stay in the water. Again, it's not too tough, but if Mario's been fighting, he can take it. Appears near the Sunken Ship, and on it as well. Sent in by John.

Zeus Guy: Formerly known as Boxing Boy, this is a Bandit-like baddy in Yoshi’s Island. He has a very strong punch and is dangerous to be around, especially anywhere near a cliff. The only way to defeat him is with a puff of fire.

Zombone: See Czar Dragon.

Z-Yux: A gray Yux that lives on the moon in PM2. Like the other Yuxs they have a small mini-version of themselves that makes them invincible while they are there. Submitted by Siro.
