Crazy
Packers Fan has ranked all of Mario World's enemies based on their
power. Please note: This is based on the
NES version of this game, so some different colors of enemies are not considered
different enemies.
Ranking | Enemy | |
---|---|---|
1 | Fry Guy | It takes seven hits to kill Fry Guy, and no matter where you stand, you're in trouble. His multiple parts at the end make matters even worse than in the first place. |
|
Wart | The big boss Wart spits
bubbles and only gives you a split-second to hit him. He's very, very hard
to beat, and your only small
advantage is that you can hide from him most of the time. |
3 | Clawgrip | Clawgrip is no fun at all... his rocks are dangerous and hard to catch, and it's not that easy trying to hit him back. |
4 | Mouser | Although it's very easy
to sneak behind Mouser and finish him off, it's pretty hard to grab a bomb
in midair and avoid other bombs
that are exploding. |
5 | Panser | Panser is the toughest
non-boss in this game. His fireballs can go at you in a different direction
each time, so it seems, and he's
at his hardest when walking. |
6 | Green Birdo | Birdos who only spit
fire are the worst, because beating them with Mushroom Blocks requires
quick grabbing, throwing, and
ducking. |
7 | Triclyde | Triclyde provides lots of "fun" by spitting tons of fireballs. If you don't build a wall of Mushroom Blocks, you won't beat him. |
8 | Red Birdo | Although these Birdos at least give you eggs to throw back, sometimes grabbing the eggs is the whole problem, as you may get hit by other fireballs as you're grabbing the egg. |
9 | Pokey | Pokeys are a nightmare to a character like Toad who can't jump well. He's too tall to jump over easily, and he always shows up in the worst places. |
10 | Spark | Sparks are nightmares in later levels when they inhabit almost every surface. Needless to say, they're annoying and painful. |
11 | Red Snifit | Snifits can cause lots of trouble with their nightmare bullets, and these ones that follow you around are the worst. |
12 | Bob-omb | Bob-ombs are the SMB2 version of Spinies. They fall from the sky, and they cause trouble below. Of course, they also blow up, which not only can hurt you, but also leave a hole in the ground. |
13 | Ninji #1 | Ninjis on their own are bad enough, but these homing Ninjis usually carry along partners for double trouble. |
14 | Red Beezo | These Beezos home in on you by diving at you, and that's never fun. |
15 | Cobrat | Cobrats not only spit nightmare bullets, they can also come out of jars and hit you if you're harmlessly walking by. |
16 | Pink Birdo | Birdos with only eggs really aren't that challenging to defeat. |
17 | Autobomb | While Autobombs are closer to an obstacle than an enemy, they are like moving Bullet Bill Blasters that can follow you, but you can also ride on them if you toss off the Shy Guy aboard them. |
18 | Ostro | Ostros carry Shy Guys, but that's not as annoying as the fact that they are so unpredictable. |
19 | Gray Snifit | Gray Snifits jump up and down, and learning their timing is the difference between beating them and getting beaten. |
20 | Pink Beezo | These Beezos usually come in waves, and you must jump perfectly to get through them. |
21 | Pink Snifit | Pink Snifits are like
Red Troopas: they walk back and forth on ledges. Avoiding them is simpler
than avoiding the other forms of
Snifits. |
22 | Phanto | Phantos don't usually
inflict damage on their own, but they can sometimes scare or rush you into
running right into a different
opponent. |
23 | Flurry | Flurries are very unpredictable, and they home in on you. However, they are pretty easy to avoid if you take your time. |
24 | Ninji #2 | These Ninjis simply jump up and down, and there's nothing difficult about that. |
25 | Porcupo | Sorry, Guest256: SMB2's version of Spinies is very simple to avoid and defeat. |
26 | Trouter | Trouters can sometimes make things hard on you, but more likely they'll help you across watery gaps. |
27 | Hoopster | Hoopsters are pretty easy to dispose of quickly, and they don't pose many problems on the vines. |
28 | Pidgit | Pidgits can be tough to avoid if you're jumping onto their Magic Carpets, but that only occurs rarely. |
29 | Tweeter | Tweeters are incredibly easy to defeat, and their small hops aren't much. |
30 | Red Shy Guy | Red Shy Guys charge after you instead of walking back and forth, but that's not much at all. |
31 | Pink Shy Guy | Pink Shy Guys are even easier to avoid than Red Shy Guys, because they are so predictable. |
32 | Albatoss | The SMB2 version of
Lakitu was a failure, as he helped the Marios get past two levels: 6-2
and 7-1. They're more like the SMB2
version of the Lost Levels' Paratroopas. |
