Okay here's the scoop. I have many people complain to me as to the whereabouts of certain secret exits. They are lost and need my help. I mean, I can't blame 'em, the exits are well hidden.
I'm so awesome! *smiles*
But anywayz... This guide is intended to help you find the secret exits that you have been pulling your hair out to locate. I severely hope you use this guide as a helper for the truly lost, and not a strategy guide to cheat your way through the game...
But for those of you who do wish to
use the guide to find helpful areas, hints, and items, I have included
the location of any alternate paths as well as the location of any hidden
Yoshis (aka Chogibis).
World 1: Bombino Island
Bob-omb Village
Secret Exit: This is one of those levels
where you may not have known another exit even existed. Anyway, this one's
pretty easy. To obtain the secret exit, simply go down the third green
pipe after the Mid-Gate.
Secret Path(s): Enter the first house
after the Mid-Gate to find a room with a Bob-omb Chucker. Just run to the
left to gain a hidden 1-Up.
Secret Chogibi: None
Bombino Island 1
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: While using Yoshi, eat
one of the blue Koopas around the slanted pipe, and fly upwards. You'll
come to a hidden pipe.
Secret Chogibi: If you can't see this
one, then you, my friend, are an idiot.
Bombino Island 2
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: Go down the first warp
pipe just after the long downward-slanted hill.
Secret Chogibi: Jump along the Note
Blocks at the beginning of the stage to reach a hidden vine, leading to
a blue Chogibi.
Bombino Island 3
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: While riding a Yoshi,
jump onto the Bob-omb Chucker's platform. From there, move along the Muncher
path to reach a coin heaven.
Secret Chogibi: Head to the bottom
of the gray structure in the level to find an orange Yoshi.
Hop's Castle
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Secret Village Path
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: This kinda applies. At
the end of the level, grab the first and NOT the second ? Ball.
Secret Chogibi: None
Orange Switch Place
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Interesting Note: The path and location
of this area should be obvious from the larger overworld map.
World 2: Up-Up Plains
Notice the oxymoron. The world is almost
all a vine level. And plains? See... eh? Whatever...
Up-Up Plains 1
Secret Exit: Grab the hidden Chogibi
as described below. Then, travel left from that area and jump. Now hop
off of the Chogibi to enter the area underneath the land mass...
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: Right after the huge
landmass, there is a downwards progression of Note Blocks. Somewhere in
the middle you should notice a coin. Fall down at that spot to find your
Chogibi.
Up-Up Plains 2
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: Oooh... A big one. Ok,
first you need a Chogibi, perferably blue. Now, near the end of the level,
there should be a few hopping Toads. Eat one, and fly up and left. Travel
along that path until you find that pipe. Congratulations! You found the
green switch palace! Note: This is the ONLY way to get the Rocket upgrade.
Secret Chogibi: At the end of the line
platform's path, do not jump off. Follow it down to find a blue Chogibi.
Up-Up Plains 3
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: See below.
Secret Chogibi: Ok, the first semi-necessary
Chogibi. Simple, enter the first pipe you see in the level. Simple as pie.
And I like pie... Mmm...
Up-Up Ghost House
Secret Exit: Ok, one of my hardest.
I feel like a jerk. Anyway, at the second room of the level, right at the
exit door, jump into the right wall. From there, figure out the invisible
maze. Hint: Somewhere in the "maze" you have jump up and to the right...
Secret Paths: A joke path poking fun
at the obvious exit in my first version. At the end of the water segment,
fall to the bottom of the water and walk through the hole in the wall...
Secret Chogibi: At the outside room
of the secret exit, ride the Bob-omb Chucker's block and jump when it is
at the leftmost position for a Note Block. Go atop the house, claim the
1-Up, and jump again around the middle of the house for another Note Block.
Up-Up Plains 4
Secret Exit: Head down and to your
right. Go all the way right and you come to the key. Note: It will not
be there if you failed to get the green switch block.
Secret Paths: The correct path is down,
right, up, through the pipe. Then go up and to your right after the pipe
room.
Secret Chogibi: None
Big Mouth's Castle
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: Head past the first big
red door (technically the second but whatever) and, if you activated the
orange and green switch blocks, you can obtain a three up moon.
Secret Chogibi: None
Up-Up Caves
Secret Exit: At the end of the level,
grab the mid-way point. Now die...
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Up-Up Secret House
Secret Exit: At the end of the level,
you should find a P-Block. Grab it, and head to the right. Jump atop the
? Block at the end. And jump. A hidden Note Block should appear. Follow
the path up, hit the switch, and go to the right...
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Dark Volcano
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Note: Did you know you can access this
level by pressing right on the warp pipe to world 3? Uh... whoops...
Up-Up Secret
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Up-Up Secret 2
(I consider this to be the worst level
I ever made...)
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: After the diagonal
lava trip upwards, ride the raft down to find a hidden Chogibi. One that
will totally glitch up and ruin the boss fight of that level... *sigh*
World 3: Grass Land
There is no way that I'm writing a
guide for a rehash world. That... and I'm lazy...
World 4: Lemmy's Land
Plant Fortress
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Lemmy's Land 1
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Lemmy's Land 2
Secret Exit: During the level, you'll
come to a series of floating pipes. Using Yoshi, eat a blue Toad. Then
fly, from underneath, into the last pipe...
Secret Paths: At the end... be SURE
to go down the green pipe...
Secret Chogibi: At the end, travel
to the right, provided you activated the green and yellow switch blocks,
and there you go.
Lemmy's Land 3
Secret Exit: Oh, a tough one. First,
at the part where the numbered platforms are floating on the lava, jump
to the right through the lavafall. Head down to find a key. Hold onto it
until the end of the level. Now at the last on/off switch, let the switch
be off... Continue as follows untill you reach past the end point. Now
run to the right...
Secret Paths: There is a hidden coin
heaven path found by hitting the on/off switches in the correct order.
Don't hit the first one, then hit the next two.
Secret Chogibi: None
Lemmy's Land 4
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: To find a hidden coin
heaven, in the beginning, use a blue Chogibi to eat a Toad. Then fly up.
Also, for a hidden 1-Up, carry the spring up the flight of green block
stairs. Travel to the right, and after the falling platforms, set it down,
and jump on it to obtain the secret 1-Up.
Secret Chogibi: None
Lemmy's Ice Castle
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: At the beginning, head
to the very end and grab the spring. Then travel left and place it on the
small platform on the wall. Jump up.
Secret Chogibi: None
On/Off Bridge
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Lemmy's Secret 1
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: Right past the midpoint,
head up the slanted platform. Jump to find hidden Note Blocks...
Pipe Land
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: The correct exit for
the underground maze can be found at the very end of the area. Instead
of going up the pipe, go down the hole...
Secret Chogibi: At the end of the level,
go down one of the warp pipes...
Lemmy's Secret 2
Secret Exit: When aproaching the thirdrd
"large ship" swim underneath it. You'll find the key for the "necessary"
secret exit.
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Cold Blooded House
Secret Exit: In the room with the Boo
fight, go to the very right. Enter the small hole in the wall to find the
key.
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Ice Land
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: At about the halfway
point, a message block instructs you to melt the blocks blocking the pipe.
Do just that...
Secret Chogibi: In the secret room
mentioned earlier, save the P Switch for when you reach the block with
the coin snake. Use it to ride the string of coins to the upper left area...
World 5: Ruby Isle
Ruby Isle 1
Secret Exit: Take the P Switch in the
beggining of the level and take it to the vertical row of coins just before
the mid-point. Hit it, and then grab the spring that falls. Take it to
the wall at the very right and jump on it. Go over the wall and BINGO!
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: Right before the location
of the spring for the secret exit, jump down the wall side and move right...
Radicale Highway
Secret Exit: Right after the part where
you run along the Munchers with a Star, there should be a platform that
falls. Ride it down and go to the left...
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: I'm sure you see it.
But time is the real issue...
Forest of Illusion
Secret Exit: At the part with the giant
tree trunks, a spring board is concealed behind the third tree. Use it
to jump up and run to the right. You'll eventually come down with the key
in hand right at the key hole.
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Note: This level is SUPPOSED to be
glitchy. Deal with it...

Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Ruby Isle 3
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: To finish the level without
dieing, fall down the first hole before the level exit and head right.
You should be able to continue to the real goal... Also to finish the level
early if you're low on time, take the same path but ride a Yoshi instead...
Secret Chogibi: Right where you get
to the Bob-omb Chucker after the midway point, ride his blocks up to get
the secret Chogibi... (Coming soon)
Kootie Pie's Fortress
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: The correct path for
the end of the level is the second door. Grab the spring, go up the pipe,
take the spring all the way to the right and use it, then go through the
2 door and take the second door...

Two Towers 1
Secret Exit: On the line-guided path
in the end, continue to ride the platfrom, even after the ride has ended.
It should take you to the left to a box containing Chogibi Wings. Use them
to fly to the bonus area containing a key and keyhole.
Secret Paths: Chogibi Wings... look
above.
Secret Chogibi: Just before the line-guided
path, there should be a progression of platforms that go diagonally downward.
On the second to last step on the platform, fall to the right to find a
Chogibi and a clue to the secret exit.
Two Towers 2
Note: In easy mode, getting the Toad
to the end is NOT necessary.
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Two Towers 3
Secret Exit: None

Secret Chogibi: During the fall, hug
the right wall. There should be a cave containing a Chogibi.
Two Towers 4
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: To complete the level,
you must have a Chogibi. You can obtain it by jumping just below the hanging
? Block.
Secret Chogibi: None
-Bonus- Can you win?
Hehehe... Good luck...
Bully's Castle
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: Now I'm sure this is
probably the reason you are looking at this guide in the first place. Anyway,
to escape the maze... go:
1st Junction: right
2nd Junction: right
3rd Junction: down
4th Junction: right
Now in the clearing with the green
and yellow blocks, jump directly in the center. Head up the invisible Note
Block path and jump over the right wall...
Secret Chogibi: None
Two Tower's Secret
Secret Exit: At the end of the level,
have the launcher fire one of those Packer's Projectiles to the right.
Spin jump and ride it all the way across the gap to the right to find the
secret key.
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Two Tower's House 2

or three ghost blocks to one area and use them to travel up. The door is
up there somewhere...

ain't blind...
Ice Mountain 6
Secret Exit: Near the end of the level,
there is a "maze" with three entrances. Take the entrance that requires
a Torch power-up to find the goal...
Secret Paths: Near the part with multiple
tiny pipes, go down the one that isn't floating. There, you'll be taken
to a room with... TWO COINS?! Oh well, leave the room the way you came
in. You may notice a slight difference in the level... ^_^
Secret Chogibi: Near the end level
maze, take the mushroom path (aka the brick block path). (Coming soon)
Kooky's Castle
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: Travel up the winding
bridge path about halfway through the second part of the level to obtain
a 1-Up.

Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: None
Dark Land 2
Secret Exit: Near the end of the level,
there are two yellow pipes. Take the first down to enter a room where red
and green blocks are both required to have been activated. PS: Don't try
to bring a Toad head thing in to destroy the breakable wall, it won't work..
trust me...
Secret Paths: None
Secret Chogibi: Right past the mid-point
where the diagonal platforms come out of the lava, jump down and hug the
leftmost wall. Travel all the way to the left to find a hidden pipe.
Dark Land 3
A little hint: Try turning off the
lights in your room to eliminate glare.
Secret Exit: None

Dark Ghost House
Secret Exit: Oh, this one is fun. At
about the end of the level, there should be a Ghost Lakitu. Spin jump on
him to ride across the gap. There grab the P-Switch and go down the first
pipe. Then, go up the vine whilst holding the P-Switch. THEN, travel all
the way to the left, ignoring the coin door, and hit the P-Switch... Fun
times...
Secret Paths: Same as above, just DON'T
ignore the coin door. In that room you'll find coins, Torch power-ups,
and a clue to the secret exit.
Secret Chogibi: None
Dark Moat
Secret Exit: None
Secret Paths: OH! The required puzzle
exit. I'm sure you have tried to finish the level, only to die by falling
in lava, right? Well, the way to overcome this is really quite simple.
Just grab the spring in the very beginning of the level and bring it to
the end. When you cross the finish gate, you'll obtain a Mushroom, grow,
and be unable to fall into the lava. Nifty!

END of the game... right? Wrong! There
are still two more worlds left to go! If you have discovered the secret
exit in the Dark Ghost House, you know that you need to clear the three
levels in Sky Land to knock down a barring gate. But the problem is, the
three levels are accesible only from three separate locations on the map.
The three levels that lead to them are Up-Up Secret House, Blooper Cave,
and Two Towers Secret House...
World 9: Sky Land
Sky Land 1

the entrance pipe to that room.

room, ride the Bob-omb Chucker's platform over the wall to find a level
shortcut.

Secret Paths: Did you know that you

the Bob-omb thing to get it).
