(The curtain rises on Sky Land and the title is shown.)

(A messenger is standing in front of a castle in Sky Land. He starts to read the sign above the entrance.)

Messenger: Ace Magic Wand Factory. A new wand made every century. (stops reading) Hmm, yeah! This must be the place!

(He walks in.)

Wand Maker: Here it is young fellow! The magic wand your wizard king ordered!

(He picks up a case with a glowing wand in it. Instead of an orb, this wand  has a crystal, making it extra special.)

Wand Maker: Personally handcrafted, by the best little old wand maker in the  world, heh heh, me!

(He hands the messenger the case. The messenger walks back and steps on a  platform which falls through the floor. His mushroom hat and work cap stay in the air, so he quickly reaches up and grabs them. The wizard is watching all of this on his crystal ball in his Sky Land castle.)

Wizard: It’s about time! I’ve been waiting for that slowpoke to finish that wand for fifty years!

(The crystal ball fogs up and when it disappears, Cheatsy is seen on a cliff top, looking through a telescope.)

Wizard: A Koopa?

(Cut to the cliff top. Cheatsy watches the platform the messenger’s standing on stop in midair. Cheatsy turns his head back to see Koopa, Bully, Big Mouth, and Kootie Pie.)

Cheatsy: Hey, King Dad! The wimp with the wand just touched down!

Koopa: Then let’s grab it, Cheatsy!

Wizard: This is horrible! King Koopa and his brats are gonna Koopacly my wand!

(Cut to Toad’s House. The bathtub is full of water. Mario is fixing the bathtub drainpipe with a monkey wrench.)

Mario: Take a look, Toad! One Super Mario turn of the wrench, and all that stopped up water will run out of your tub faster than Invincible Mario!

(A reflection of the wizard appears in the water.)

Luigi: It’s the Wizard King of the West!

Wizard: Luigi! Mario! Those cruddy Koopas are gonna capture my magic wand if you don’t stop them!

(The reflection changes to show the Koopas on the cliff. Toad walks up to the tub and steps on the wrench, still attached to the pipe, which turns and starts to drain the water.)

Toad: What’s goin’ on? What’s he saying?

(The reflection changes to a waterfall.)

Wizard: They plan to spring their ambush near this waterfall-

(While speaking, the water forms a whirlpool and quickly drains.)

Mario: Oh no! The message went down the drain, Toad!

Toad: Hey, look on the bright side, guys! We did fix the tub! And I can find that waterfall!

(Cut to the Sky Land stairway. Mario and co. are hopping down it platform by  platform. The waterfall eventually comes into view.)

Toad: I told ya we’d find it! Let’s just hope we’re not too late!

(The messenger is running alongside the bottom of the waterfall.)

Princess: There’s the messenger, and he’s still got the wand!

(The Koopas chase after the messenger.)

Koopa: Get that wand!

(The messenger runs into Mario and co. and hands Toad the case. Luigi  picks up the messenger and has him cover Toad’s eyes and they run off.)

Big Mouth: *laughs* The wand is as good as ours!

(Mario jumps onto a platform. He jumps at a Note Block and a Fire Flower pops out. He jumps at it and gains fire power.)

Mario: Not if Fire Mario’s got anything to say about it!

(Mario shoots fireballs around the Koopas. They all miss though. Koopa stops  running and the Koopalings bump into him.)

Koopa: Great balls of fire!

(The Koopas jump into the water and the fireballs that hit the water sizzle away.)

(Cut to Toad’s House. The messenger is still covering Toad’s eyes.)

Toad: Where are we? Did we loose King Koopa? What’s happening?

(Luigi removes the messenger from covering Toad’s eyes.)

Princess: We’re home Toad! We’re safe! The wand is safe!

Toad: That’s great! And since I saved the magic wand from the Koopas, do you think...

(Toad opens the case, but Princess closes it.)

Everyone Else: No way!

Messenger: Only a trained magician can touch that wand without danger! A-a-and you don’t qualify!

(The wizard is watching this on his crystal ball.)

Wizard: Only too true! That wand should only be used by me!

(The wizard leaves his castle and rides away on a giant snail.)

Wizard: Faster Lightning [which looks like a giant snail, and pulls like one], pull faster! The sooner that wand is in my  possession, the better!

(Toad is alone the living room. He walks up to the case and checks to see if  anyone’s watching.)

Toad: (sarcastically) Only a trained magician can touch that wand! (normal voice) Huh! But what if the Koopas find my house and attack? I couldn’t let the princess be catched, could I?

(Toad picks up the wand, which glows in his hand.)

Toad: To save us all, I must use the wand! Wow! I feel like I’m a wizard already! Play!

(Toad zaps a tea set, which begins to dance around a bit.)

(Toad then zaps a chair, which dances too.)

Toad: He he he! And 5 6 7 8! Oh, awesome! It works! It works! But a dancing chair isn’t enough to defeat the Koopas.

(Toad walks outside.)

Toad: I’ve gotta create something more powerful! Like, like...

(Toad sees a pile of pipes lying around.)

Toad: Like a couple of giant pipe creatures!

(Toad zaps the pipes, which form two large human-shaped monsters, one blue and one purple. Both of them dance.)

Toad: He he he! This is great! And now it’s your turn to fight them! 5 6 7 8! Come on, faster! I want more dancing! Faster!

(The monsters groan.)

Toad: Ooh I don’t like that tone of voice! I am the wizard Toad! And I order you to- whoa, oops!

(The blue monster grabs the wand from Toad and zaps a pile of blocks.)

(The blocks come to life as Pile Driver Micro Goombas and create a shockwave. They then go after Toad.)

Toad: Hey guys, what are you doing? I was only kidding! Honest! Yikes!

(Toad runs to the front door and bumps into Mario, who is with Luigi.)

Mario: Toad!

Toad: Honest guys! I didn’t do anything! The wand jumped right out of the case!

Mario: Luigi, do you like pancakes?

Luigi: Yeah, I love ‘em, why?

Mairo: Cuz if we don’t think of something fast, that’s what we’re gonna be squashed into!

(The Pile Drivers get closer.)

Mario: It seems those blocks are after you, Toad!

Toad: Me? But why would they be after me?

Luigi: Are you sure that wand just jumped out of its case?

(Mario picks up Toad.)

Mario: We’ll discuss that later! But for now, we gotta lead them away from the house! The princess is still inside taking her nap. Run!

(They run off towards the edge of a cliff.)

Toad: How can we run? There’s nothing here but a cliff!

Mario: In that case, we jump!

(Mario jumps off and Luigi follows.)

Luigi: Whoa!

(The Pile Drivers jump off the cliff. They pass a ledge that Mario, Luigi, and Toad are standing on and fall to the bottom.)

Toad: Uh, great rescue, guys!

Mario: So, Toad, is there anything else you wanna tell us?

(The Koopas and two Boomerang Brothers walk near the pipe monsters and stop.)

Cheatsy: The wand! The wand!

Koopa: Boomerang Bros., get me that wand!

(The Boomerang Brothers throw their boomerangs at the wand, but the monsters duck and they miss. The monsters laugh, but when the boomerangs come back the wand gets knocked out of the monster’s hand and into Koopa’s.)

Koopa: You’re under my control, you big pipe snipe!

(Koopa points the wand at the monsters.)

Kootie Pie: That was so wonderful, Daddykins! But it’s my turn now!

(She grabs the wand and runs off.)

Big Mouth: Oh yeah? Who says?

(Kootie Pie points the wand at the other Koopas [which suddenly includes Kooky, for this scene and this scene only].)

Kootie Pie: I do! I say it’s mine! Mine! Mine!

(Princess walks out of the house.)

Princess: Mario! Luigi, where’d you go?

Kootie Pie: Oh hi, Princess! I am really, really sorry, but I have decided to place you under house arrest! Ha ha ha ha!

(Kootie Pie zaps the picket fence near the house and it grows much taller and surrounds the entire house. Mario, Luigi, and Toad come running towards the house.)

Mario: Don’t worry, Princess, we’ll save you!

(Bully grabs the wand.)

Bully: No way! It’s my turn now, sis! And I say it’s time for a game of catch!

(Bully zaps the monsters, who pick up Mario, Luigi, and Toad and start to juggle them. Cheatsy grabs the wand.)

Cheatsy: Bully for you, Bully! But it’s my turn, and I say it’s time this Piranha Plant grew up!

(Cheatsy zaps a Nipper which grows to the size of the monsters. It runs up to Mario.)

Mario: Whoa! If I don’t want to be plant food, I’d better get moving!

(Mario jumps out of the monster’s hand and runs over to the other monster, who’s holding Toad.)

Mario: Hang on, Toad! I’ll wrench you loose!

(Mario pulls out his wrench and uses it on the monster’s arm, which falls off. Toad gets out.)

Toad: Whoa! I’m free! I’m free!

Toad: And, um, Mario, the wand really didn’t jump out of the case by itself. I uh, I though I could be a great magician, but I was wrong.

Mario: If you wanna make it right, help me with this plan I just got. Bring back those stampeding blocks!

(Toad winks and gives a thumbs up. The song I'm a Hurricane starts up. Mario picks up Toad and swings him around. He tosses Toad onto a platform. Toad jumps up from platform to platform. Cheatsy zaps the fence surrounding the house and it goes after Toad. It hits the bottom of the platform and misses. Cheatsy zaps the monsters and they chase after the Marios. The blue one grabs them. Toad jumps down from the platforms to the area where the Pile Drivers are. He sticks his tongue out at them. They chase after him as
he runs towards the Koopas. The song ends.)

Toad: *gasp* Look out, Koopas! Here I come!

(The Koopalings laugh. Bully grabs the wand.)

Bully: Whoa whoa whoa! I’m trembling in my boots!

(Bully zaps the Nipper.)

Bully: Piranha Plant, go munch on a Mushroom!

(The Nipper goes after Toad.)

Toad: Be my guest!

(The blocks crush the Nipper as Toad runs to the Koopas.)

Koopa: Hey you, Toad! Go away, shoo! Take those blocks with ya! *gasp*

Mario: Hold tight! If I can just find a super block!

(Mario hits a Note Block and a Super Leaf pops out. Mario grabs it and gains raccoon power. The monster loses his grip on Mario. Mario flies down and picks up Toad.)

Koopa: Give me that wand! This is getting out of hand!

(Koopa grabs the wand. But when Mario flies by, Toad grabs it.)

Koopa: Hey!

(Mario lands near the house.)

Mario: Okay, Toad! It’s time for your final magic trick!

Toad: I order all the magic to stop!

(Toad uses the wand to levitate the Pile Drivers over the Koopas, who run off.)

Kootie Pie: Oh dear! What do you say we Koop on out of here?

(The wizard arrives on Lightning.)

Wizard: Kootie Pie, I couldn’t agree with you more!

(The wizard uses his own magic to grab the wand from Toad.)

Wizard: And to help you on your way, I’m going to ask the pipe creatures to lend you a hand.

(He zaps the monsters, who transform into giant hands. The hands pick up the Koopas and drop them into a warp pipe which takes them above Castle Koopa in midair. They fall down through the roof and land on Koopa’s throne.

Toad: I’m really sorry, guys! From now on, I’m leaving magic to the real expert!

Wizard: All I care about is getting my special wand back!

(He places the wand’s handle in the ground and emits a fiery glow. The wizard sits down and pulls out a hotdog on a stick.)

Wizard: It’s just what I need to roast weenies!

(And he does just that.)

Toad: You waited fifty years for that? Maybe I’m not the only guy who doesn’t know what he’s doing!

(The curtain falls.)
