(The episode opens to a village surrounded by mountains with holes in them.)

Mario: (in his mind) Plumber's Log, 10-34. We arrived in the Swiss Cheese Alps to rescue the villagers from a mad scientist. We figured the troublemaker had to be Koopa, because he called himself Dr. Koopenstein.

(Mario and Co are greeted by a crowd and the mayor presents them with a large key.)

Mayor: Welcome, Princess Toadstool! May I present you with the key to our to our humble village!

Mario: (to Luigi) I wonder if it fits the pizza parlor!

(Princess accepts the key.)

Princess: Thank you, Mr. Mayor!

Mayor: We're honored that you and your friends have come to protect us from the evil Dr. Koopenstein!

(Mouser, who's wearing a labcoat, pokes his out from behind a corner.)

Mouser: I better warn his royal Koopaness zat the Marios are here!

(Mouser walks off.)

Princess: We'll do our best!

(The crowd applauds as Princess takes a bow. On a hill not too far from the village is a tower belonging to Koopa.)

Koopa (off screen): *snicker* At last, my creation is almost finished! *laugh*

(Cut to inside the lab, where Koopa is wearing a labcoat and glasses. On an operating table next to him is a large robot Troopa.)

Koopa: Now all I need to complete my monster robot Troopa is a brain! *laugh*

(Mouser runs in.)

Mouser: Dr. Koopenstein, sir?

Koopa: If only you weren't so stupid, Mouser, I could use yours! Yes, yes, what is it?

Mouser: The Mario Bros. and Princess Toadstool are in the village!

Koopa: Aha! Just what the doctor ordered! Those plumbers may not be too bright, but between the both of them, I can make one good brain. Good work, Mouser!

(Mouser giggles.)

Koopa: *snicker* Now, go capture them and bring them to me! *snicker* If you fail, I'll feed you to my monster! *laugh*

(Mouser looks at the robot and shivers. Cut to outside the tower, where Mario and Co are at the top of the stairs leading to the entrance.)

Mario: We'll take care of Koopenstein and be back in time for dinner!

Luigi: First, we gotta get in!

(Mario goes up to the door.)

Mario: Hey, open up! We've come to fix the plumbing!

(A Shy Guy looks through the wicket gate, and shuts it.)

Toad: That was smart! Now they know we're here!

Mario: You have a better idea?

Toad: Yeah! I'll climb up that wall and let you dudes in!

(Toad runs over to the sidewall and starts climbing it by gripping the areas between the bricks.)

Toad: Me and my big mouth! Why didn't I just suggest we go back to the village and think about it?

(Toad continues climbing.)

Mario: He's almost to the battlements! Hurry up, Toad, I'm starving!

Princess: Don't you ever think about anything but food?

Mario: What else is there?

Mouser (off screen): Brain surgery!

(Mouser and some Shy Guys, one of whom is on an Autobomb, have arrived next to the group.)

Mouser: And you are about to learn about it the hard way! *snicker*

(Toad climbs to a higher level, only to find some Shy Guys, another Autobomb, and some potted Piranha Plants waiting for him.)

Toad: Uh, hi guys! Nice day for rock climbin', don'tcha think?

(The Shy Guys approach Toad. Cut to the lab. Mouser has returned with the Marios and Princess, who are in shackles, and Koopa pulls a few levers on a control panel.)

Mouser: *clears throat* Two halfwits and a princess!

Luigi: Hey, I resemble that!

Koopa: Excellent, Mouser! We'll be able to finish our brain transfer experiment! Tonight! *laugh*

(Cut to Toad, who is still surrounded.)

Toad: Hey, I got an idea! Let's flip for it! Heads, I keep climbin', tails, you let me go! Either way, you keep the coin! Okay?

(Toad pulls out a coin and tosses it into the air. He then grabs a Piranha Plant, jumps on top of theAutobomb, and has the Piranha Plant light the wick with a fireball.)

Toad: Guess what, you lose!

(Toad jumps off of the Autobomb, which blows up in the Shy Guys' faces. Cut to the lab, where the Marios are strapped down to a chair and a metal helmet is lowered onto their heads. Princess screams.)

Koopa: First, we'll measure your combined brainpower! Think of the smartest person ya know: Me!

(The Marios gasp as Koopa pulls a lever, which charges up a machine. The helmet starts glowing, and the needle on a gauge moves over towards one side.)

Koopa: What? Impossible! A potted plant scores higher than that!

(Cut to Toad, who is now further up the wall.)

Toad: Those Shy Guys must have velcro on their feet!

(Toad looks down to some Shy Guys who are walking up the wall. He then reaches a barred window. Cut to the lab.)

Koopa: No one is THAT stupid!

Mario: You are, Koopa! If you think we're givin' you our brains, you're a monster!

(Toad is looking through the window into the lab.)

Toad: I gotta save 'em!

(Toad climbs up to the roof and looks down on the lab through a skylight.)

Princess: Leave them alone or I'll, I'll, I'll do something!

Koopa: You and who else? That miserable fungus you call Toad?

Toad (off screen): TOADERONIMO!

(Toad jumps through the skylight and lands on Koopa, knocking him down to the floor. Toad laughs as Princess frees the Marios.)

Princess: Let's get out of here!

Koopa: Stop, you faucet flunkies!

(Koopa runs after Luigi, but he crashes into Mouser, lands in the chair, and the helmet falls on his head. Outside, lightning hits the antenna at the top of the tower, sending a surge of energy through the helmet and into Koopa. Once the surge stops, Mario and Co gulp when Koopa turns his head around, revealing that's he's been transformed into a monster that resembles Frankenstein's Monster, complete with bolts on his head.)

Mario: He's turned into the Koopenstein Monster! Run for it!

(Koopa holds out his arms and walks towards Mario and Co. He grabs Princess, knocks the others out of the way, and Princess screams. He then breaks through the door and leaves. Mouser gets up and screams as he runs after Koopa.)

Mario: After him!

(The Marios and Toad run out the door, but Koopa and Mouser have already run down the stairs leading down the hill.)

Mario: Too late! The Koopenstein Monster's got the princess! How'll we ever get Princess Toadstool back? Koopenstein could be anywhere!

(The mayor runs up the steps.)

Mayor: Help! The Koopenstein Monster is attacking the village!

Mario: Come on! We gotta attack him back!

(The Marios, Toad, and the mayor return to the village, where Koopa is scaring off everyone. Koopa punches down a door and steps on a potted plant.)

Mario: Get your plumber's helper out, Luigi! We're gonna kick some Koopa!

Luigi: I uh, I left it at home! I'll be right back!

(Luigi attempts to run off, but Mario grabs one of his overall straps.)

Mario: Forget the plumber's helper! Grab a handful of Bomb Plants and let's go!

(Koopa walks up to a Mushroomer, but the Marios and Toad stand in his way.)

Mario: Back off, you ugly fiend! The Mario Bros. are back in town!

(Koopa roars, picks up Mario, and throws him.)

Mario: Woah!

(Mario hits the clock tower and grabs onto the minute hand, which slowly starts lowering clockwise. Koopa walks over to Luigi, but Toad presents Koopa with a Bomb Plant.)

Toad: Hold this, big guy!

(Koopa grabs the Bomb Plant, and it blows up in his face. Luigi and Toad do a little dance.)

Luigi: Ya got him!

(The smoke clears away, and Koopa, who's unharmed by the blast, roars and goes after them again.)

Luigi: Ya don't got him!

Toad: Uh, can't we talk this over like civilized monsters?

Mario: (to himself) I've gotta distract the monster, or Toad and Luigi are history! (out loud) Hey, Koopenstein! You're a big sissy, and your mother gives you a bottle every night! And your father takes bubble baths!

(Koopa walks over to the clock tower and roars. A cuckoo bird pops out of the tower, confusing Koopa. Koopa then proceeds to shake the tower, and rips it off of its foundation. He then throws it into the air, but Mario screams and lands in a field next to some cows that moo at him, and the clock tower itself lands upside-down next to Mario. The cuckoo bird pops out, confusing Mario.)

Mario: Time for a nap!

(Mario falls over. Back in the village, Koopa runs after Luigi and Toad. He then laughs, grabs them, and throws them. They land in the field next to Mario.)

Luigi: Mario? Are you okay?

(Luigi pinches Mario's nose, but Mario just snores.)

Toad: I'll fix him!

(Toad walks over to the clock, kicks it, and the bird comes out again, waking up Mario.)

Mario: Huh? Take this, Koopa! And that!

(Mario punches the air.)

Mario: Toad! Luigi! What happened?

Toad: We lost!

(Up on a mountain, Koopa walks up to a cave on a cliff, and Mouser steps out.)

Mouser: Master, I kept Princess Toadstool from escaping!

(Koopa grumbles a bit.)

Princess: I demand you let me go, you big bully! Immediately, if not sooner!

(Koopa growls at Princess, who gasps.)

Mouser: You heard him, Princess! You're never gonna get away!

(Cut to the lab. The Marios and Toad are at the operating table by the robot.)

Toad: Are you sure this'll work?

Mario: If it doesn't, we're in deep spumoni! Stand back! I'm gonna try it out!

(Mario, who's using a wireless joystick, starts fiddling with the controls. Luigi and Toad gulp as the robot starts moving. Toad jumps into Luigi's arms.)

Luigi: Yo, careful!

(The robot gets up.)

Toad: You did it!

Mario: The monster robot Troopa lives!

(Cut to the village, where the crowd has gathered again. Mario is riding on the robot, and Luigi and Toad are each holding a few Bomb Plants.)

Mario: Thank you! Thank you! I shall follow Koopenstein's footprints, and return!

(Leading out of the village is a trail of footprints.)

(Cut to the cliff. The song "Weird Science" starts up. The Marios, Toad, and the robot approach Mouser.)

Mouser: Holy cannelloni!

(Mouser runs into the cave.)

Mouser: Master, the plumbers are coming, and they've got your monster robot Troopa with them!

(Koopa roars.)

Princess: Wait! Don't hurt them!

Mouser: Stay out of it, you! You're spoiling all our fun!

(Koopa walks up to the robot, and Mario gets off.)

Mario: Okay, monster robot Troopa, do your stuff! Go, go, Troopa!

(Mario fiddles with the joystick, and the robot and Koopa start fighting. Princess steps out of the cave as the robot picks up Koopa and throws him. Koopa gets up, roars, and pushes the robot over. The robot gets up and goes back to fighting Koopa. Mouser runs up to the Marios and Toad and knocks the Bomb Plants out of Luigi and Toad's hands. He then fights with Mario over the joystick. Mouser grabs the joystick and tries to run off, but Toad trips him, causing him to drop it and it slides over to the robot. The robot steps on the joystick, electrocuting both itself and Koopa, and they fall off the cliff, along with Mouser. The song ends. Koopa and the robot land in a river below.)

Toad: Talk about takin' a dive!

(Mouser surfaces, along with Koopa, who's now been transformed back to Dr. Koopenstein, and they get washed away.)

Koopa: Last thing I remember, I had those pesky plumbers trapped in my brain drain device! What happened?

Mouser: Oh, it's a long story, your Koopaness! And you'll hate the ending!

(Cut to the village, where the crowd has gathered again and the clock tower is restored. The mayor presents Mario with a covered tray.)

Mayor: Thank you for saving us! And now, your reward!

(The mayor lifts the cover, and reveals a pizza with Swiss cheese.)

Mario: Hey, who's been eating on my pizza? It's full of holes!

Princess: *giggle* No one, Mario! It's a Swiss cheese pizza!

Mario: Where's the key to that pizza parlor? I gotta teach these guys how to do it right!

(Mario runs off, and everyone else laughs.)
