News Flash! - July 31, 2007
If you're wondering what to do with all those Lil' Boos you keep finding in
Booster Packs,
Tail Koopa may be able to help
you out. Go read his new strategy article.
News Flash! - July 27, 2007
For no apparent reason, Doopliss'
Twin submitted an idea for a pre-made deck. Since I'm not one to miss a
business opportunity, Fever is now for sale at
Susan's Card Emporium. Catch it!
News Flash! - March 27, 2007
For the first time in the history of the KTCG, a player has managed to
become a Lord in the normal way (i.e., by defeating all of the existing Lords).
Congratulations to Lonely Yoshi!
Are you ready to challenge him for the Stealth Badge?
News Flash! - February 25, 2007
For his excellent work at the printing presses, Tail Koopa
has been promoted to Lordship. Challenge him for the Chaos Badge if you dare.
News Flash! - February 14, 2007
At long last, KTCG players may enjoy official images for their favorite
cards. Well, at least they can if their favorite cards are the ones that
Tail Koopa has already made. But
fear not - more are coming soon. You can be sure that every new release will be
meticulously categorized and stored, in mint condition, in
the Collector's album. I'm sure he'll let you make
copies if you ask nicely.
An alert player noticed that the current Lords and Ladies are not actually listed anywhere on the site. This has been rectified by way of commandeering an official-looking building. The new House of Lords has information about Lords and Ladies in general, as well as information on the sitting Lords.
News Flash! - August 6, 2006
I don't know why it's taken so long, but the first strategy guide for an
Empire card has just been added to the strategy section.
And while I was at it, I reorganized the section. Promo cards have been separated from guides for Alpha Edition, which itself is now properly alphabetized.
News Flash! - August 2, 2006
Five new strategy articles have been added to the obvious place. Look for
the little red stars.
If you keep asking yourself a question about Possessed Frogfucious, it might be the one I've just answered in the FAQ.
News Flash! - August 15, 2005
The deck-building contest has concluded! The winner is
Lonely Yoshi,
and his deck, Tidal Wave, is now for sale in
Susan's Card Emporium. Congratulations Lonely Yoshi!
A new promo, Elemental Transformation, was released just in time for the prize ceremony.
News Flash! - July 24, 2005
About time we had some new news! Two contests are now beginning.
First, due to player demand, a tournament will be getting underway. There will be no special rules; any player with a legal deck may enter. Email Susan to join the tournament. If fewer than four players sign up by the end of July, the tournament will be canceled. So hurry!
Second, a deck-building contest is starting right now. See below for details.
News Flash! - January 12, 2005
At long last, the third set is released. It is called Empire and has a final
count of 92 cards. What are you waiting for? Go look!
Also, a new Promo card has been released to commemorate the event. One will be included free with every Empire Set Booster Pack purchased before Thursday, January 20. Limit 3 copies per customer.
News Flash! - December 28, 2004
Two more pre-made decks are now available, bringing the total to four: Ice
Storm, Keep Away, Long Shot, and Hand to Hand. Which deck fits your battle
style?
News Flash! - December 26, 2004
Due to persistent popular demand, Susan will now be selling pre-made starter
decks in her Emporium.
Article - December 15, 2004
Believe it or not, it looks like the third set may
actually make it past the production stage in the next month or so. You can
expect to see the following.
THE MINIONS
Representing the Mario Bosses, Belome, Punchinello, and Valentina are rumored to
be making appearances. There are also a few Minions representing the newer Mario
adventures, as well as... what? Who put that in the ad copy?
Moving on... there's a heaping helping of ?-type Minions, as well as all your
favorite elements. If your favorite element is Ground (and I know it is), you
can now irritate your enemies with Thwomp. Or if you're some kind of loser who
likes the Evil element, you could put that lame Greaper thing in your deck.
THE ATTACKS
Who doesn't love to shout attack names in their opponent's face? Won't it feel
great to exclaim "Diamond Saw!" before hitting that unlucky player with the
ultimate smackdown? Why not cry "Help!" and then get some?
I sure couldn't resist yelling "Eat!" (possibly more than once), "Disease!", or
"Snatch!" I'd probably follow them up with some nasty laughter too.
THE BUILDINGS
There are Buildings. Why not construct an Item Shop and patronize it frequently?
THE SPELLS
Now we're talkin'. Sniper is sure to delight many players; the underhanded will
certainly enjoy a good Scavenge. Take your chances with the Lucky Coin, or go
crazy with Blitz.
THE ENERGIES
What? Who cares about Energy?
News Flash! - December 12, 2004

awarded to the participants.

16, 2004
The trading event described below will be running until the end of the month.
A major trading event is starting - give Susan any card, and she will give you a new, random card from the same set and of the same rarity!
The missing cards have been found.
News Flash! - June 8, 2004
The unsold misprinted cards from Susan's Card Emporium have gone missing. You
haven't seen them, have you?
News Flash! - December 18, 2003
Due to the ridiculous numbers of lost tourists crowding
the streets, KTCGville has reverted to a mainly text-based navigation system.
Susan's Card Emporium is offering amazing holiday deals! And don't miss the special offer in the Park!
Just rediscovered the KTCG, or new to town? Check out the important articles in the News Flash Archives.
The Collector is now displaying some KTCG humour articles. Take a look!
News Flash! - May 4, 2003
Several KTCG-villers have lobbied the
Mayor to bring back the strategy guides. He was awake enough to retrieve
them from the town archives, and handed them over to the Old Pro for safe-keeping.
Hey, remember the Lords and Ladies? Okay, so right now we only have Lords. According to the plaque in Town Hall, the existing Lords are Lemmy Koopa of the Ice Badge, Smash/Sumashi of the Draco Badge, and Koshi of the Spirit Badge. Defeat all three in battle to earn your place among their ranks. Of course, since there were originally supposed to be five Lords and Ladies at all times, you could win a spot just by battling violently, or being nice, or pestering Susan, or whatever.
Want to link to KTCG? Sure ya do! Go ahead and use this card-playing bouncie. Yeah, it's not transparent. You'll live.
News Flash! - April 20, 2003
Larry Koopa4536 is sponsoring a tournament.
It's a beginners' KTCG tournament, where beginners with their booster packs
face off against other beginners with booster packs.
Time: Thursday, April 24, 5 PM Eastern.
Place: Lemmy's
Java Chatroom.
News Flash! - April 12, 2003
KTCG is officially re-opened!
Article - New Season, New Rules
Listen up, folks, here's how it works.
If you've played before and remember what cards you owned, then you still
have all those cards. However, because some (probably inactive) players
racked up ridiculous balances at the Bank, all the money you had has been
confiscated. You are compensated to the tune of 20 coins. Don't spend it
all in one place.
New players and anyone who lost track
of their previous assets, you receive a 100 coin bonus just for moving
into town. Bring that money to the local shops and buy whatever cards you
want.
All battling rules remain the same.
Read New Player Help or the Rulebook
for a refresher.
Deck-building rules are the same (see
Deck
Help), with one exception. CP, otherwise known as Card Points, no longer
exist. That's right! No limits on card rarity anymore. The trade-off, however,
is that Rare cards actually will be rarer, harder to find, and more expensive.
Susan's Card Emporium no longer sells
single cards. The clerk does, however, have friends in high places and
may be able to pull together a starter deck for you. Don't forget to pick
up a Booster Pack while you're there.
Looking for a specific card? Other
vendors around town will have various things in stock. Check often for
the one you want. If it just isn't there, trade with another player who
managed to get their greedy little hands on it.
Searching for someone to battle? The
mayor of KTCG-ville is really lazy and never bothers to take a census.
Hence, there is no Members List. On the flip side, there's also no taxes.
To meet friends and foes, wander over the the Park and introduce yourself
on the Messageboard.
Classifieds - Ideas
Wanted: Ideas for the third card set.
Are there any existing cards or strategies that are too strong? Strategies
