From Paperlemmy
Is that red thing around Lord Crump's head his beard or is it part of his cape?
It's part of his attire, but that kind of facial hair would put even Mario to shame.
From Cubone
What are the colors of you and your brothers' wands? In SMB3, you all had wands the colors of your shells, while in the remake, Super Mario Advance 4, the wands were all red. In the artwork, the wands are even different. It's sort of confusing.
Hopefully this is clear enough for you. Ludwig's is blue, Lemmy's is green, Roy's is black, Iggy's is yellow, mine is purple, Morton's is red, and Larry's is orange.
From Midna
How come Dino Torches can breath fire but Dino Rhinos can't?
The Rhinos are massive enough to dominate the field in their natural environment, so they don't need to use fire breath. The Torches' small size both allows and forces them to be a scrappier, trickier bunch, so they are able to emit flames.
From Tony Paratroopa
Before you mentioned Boos cause damage to the Marios by the evil aura. What exactly is aura and how does their evil aura cause pain to their enemies?
It's the evil essence of an undead spirit. It's not compatible with a healthy, living being. Boos don't have to activate this aura - they can inhabit areas peacefully with the living - but it's an innate ability if they wish to use it.
From Tony Paratroopa
Has Morton ever lost his voice?
No. We've even tried to get him sick so he'll lose his voice, but it never works. At best he'll get a sore throat. You'd think that would make him shut up, if talking hurts, but he'll just go on blabbing about how his throat hurts and whatever other nonsense.
From Tony Paratroopa
Would Yoshis be considered reptiles?
Maybe at first, but they're not warm-blooded, which I think is part of the definition of being a reptile, so then they'd have to change the defining factors.
From Tony Paratroopa
Who created the Power Stars?
What do you want me to say, that a wizard did it? The Power Stars already existed, or at least as long as anyone knows. Asking who created them is like asking who created the world.
From Tony Paratroopa
What are Power Stars made of?
Power Stars are made up of energy - power - that somehow has taken on a solid form. It has not been possible to duplicate this, and it is widely believed to be impossible.
From Tony Paratroopa
Can Luigi do a wall kick like Mario can?
The wall kick has become one of Mario's own trademark moves, and he was the only one who could do it in Mario 64 DS. But yes, Luigi is every bit as good a jumper as Mario, probably better; and he can wall kick as well. You can see this, at the least, in New Super Mario Bros.
From Tony Paratroopa
How do Mario and others use the Power Stars' powers?
Only a sage would really understand how to use them. A power-hungry villain like Bowser could make them do things but without understanding how or being in much control of the process. Mario had no power over them but they would react on their own at appropriate times.
From Tony Paratroopa
Are Wario and Waluigi brothers or evil friends?
Brothers, which is good because otherwise we'd have to start calling them the Wario Friends, which just may not carry the right message.
From Iggy_Koopa
About how many times do you and your brothers do to the dungeon each month?
We don’t actually get sent that often because we know better than to get caught doing something Bowser doesn’t like. Maybe each of us will get sent once, or twice on an off-chance, if only because we’ll lose against Mario and Bowser will get upset. Even Roy may only go once a month… but then, that would be because he might spend the whole month in there.
From Charlene Ganzon
I have a question for Wendy. In Super Paper Mario, I noticed that Mario only has the flipping power. If Peach, Luigi, and Bowser are heroes also, how come they didn't deserve it?
It's because Bestovious is so cheap. He may have caved in to Mario, but he was only going to teach the others that ability if they each paid that ridiculous price.
From Tony Paratroopa
How many inventions does Ludwig build each week?
Although Ludwig is almost always building something, in fact he doesn't finish many inventions per week. He might only finish one, or none even. That's because his inventions are usually large and complicated, so they take a long time to complete. Of course most Fun Fiction focus on the final touches, which can make it look like he's constantly finishing something. You may get to see his spark of inspiration or a little bit of the building process, but most stories still speed through this or are overly optimistic about how long they take to build.
From Tony Paratroopa
How come Bowser wants to takeover the Mushroom Kingdom?
Well Dark Land is cozy in its way, but it’s also gloomy, dangerous, and small, at least once you remove the uninhabitable areas. The Mushroom Kingdom is none of those things, and everything but. It beckons to the residents of Dark Land, and certainly to those that crave power and conquest. Bowser is just that sort. He’s got have a target at all times, and lest it always be some renegade Koopa or something, the Mushroom Kingdom and its protectors fit the bill nicely.
From Tony Paratroopa
Does Iggy bruise easily?
No, he hardly bruises at all. That's lucky for the rest of us because he'd look awful most of the time otherwise.
From Super Goomba
Who taught Ludwig to invent?
No one, at least not what got him started. Certainly influences like Bowser don’t have the brains to have taught him this. Someone like Kamek has brains, but not that kind of technical know-how, he knows most about magic, as well as history because, you know, he’s really old. Ludwig has taken science in school, but nothing as advanced as what he does, and he started tinkering before he was in class. No, Ludwig was able to round up the basic tools, and taught himself by using them.
From Tony Paratroopa
How does Bowser feel about being a hero in Super Paper Mario?
Furious! He never wants to be portrayed as a hero. He’d be quick to remind you (if he doesn’t just torch you first) that he did it all out of self-interest, a fact not hidden by the game, but still he’d prefer that the adventures where he helped Mario not be turned into games. On the other hand, it went completely over his head that Super Paper Mario and the other RPGs portray him as an idiot. He has no problem with that aspect.
From Tony Paratroopa
How tall is Bowser?
Bowser's size has constantly changed throughout the series, as much because of his own actions as because of Nintendo because of the graphical capabilities of its systems or because of specific constraints. (A Mario 64-sized Bowser would not have been a good fit for Mario Kart, for example.) Paper Mario does a good job of it, constantly outstretched arms notwithstanding, putting him at about 10 and a half feet and not nearly as bulky as in Mario 64 and Sunshine.
From the game prince
How was Mario able to pick up Bowser and swing him around in Super Mario 64?
We're actually not sure. Mario is not known for his strength and normally cannot do that. We think he was so hungry from lack of cake that he behaved as though he was in peril, like in Paper Mario. Then if his power-granting hat doubled as a sort of Mega Rush Badge, that could have given him the extra strength required.
From Goomba
Does Bowser like having red hair?
Yes, and you’d better remember he has it, too. For some reason he’s often been depicted without it. Every now and then some poor fool will see him and make a comment like “I didn’t know you have hair.” That’s usually the last thing that person will ever say other than “AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!” or the like.
From Goomba
How do you feel about Ganondorf, King Dedede, Ridley, etc?
Are Dedede and Ridley even evil? I think the one of them’s a clueless nutcase and the other is at best a high-ranking pirate and maybe just a monster that hunter keeps running into. Ganondorf is more interesting I guess but I don’t care about about if he ever gets control of Hyrule. He should get out of his room more often and give up playing the organ.
From Goomba
How do Koopas celebrate Christmas?
All right, look, Christmas is not a holiday naturally celebrated in the Mushroom Kingdom. We heard about it when Mario brought it over and the holiday has gained some support from Mushroomers but mostly just because their great hero celebrates it. We use this time of year as an excuse to steal stuff, and we might wrap them up or whatever, but then again we’ll usually stealing stuff all year around and it’s not like we’re especially successful in the dead of winter. The holiday has no religious implications for us whatsoever.
From Phantos67
How do the babies in Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS get into bubbles when they fall off Yoshi's back?
It's a perk of being a Star Child. This power used to emanate automatically when the children needed it. It was brief but effective. As they grew up they lost this protection but learned to defend themselves in other ways, of course. Though I guess Peach could still use it. It wouldn't help her much, you just gotta wait it out.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do the Power Stars have any other powers besides protecting the princess' castle?
Yes, they have the power to perpetrate EVIL!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!! ... Or good. They can be used as an energy source or can be absorbed by people who know how so that they can be empowered to do... stuff.
From Tony Paratroopa
Does Mario throw or actually shoot fireballs?
Mario throws them. That or he has the weakest gun for an arm ever. They'd have to go a lot faster if he was shooting.
From Goomba
What does it take for a regular Koopa Troopa to become a Koopatrol or a Magikoopa? Also, who trains them?
Koopa Troopas who are noted for their strength and who have been considered loyal, rule-abiding, and not entirely foolish soldiers for a few years (or maybe less in times of crisis or rampant ambition) will be tapped to become a Koopatrol... or, for that matter, a Hammer Brother. But Hammer Brothers must also be noted for their throwing arm and teamwork abilities, whereas Koopatrols have a more generic set of skills. Magikoopas will be selected among those Troopas that show magical ability, and will typically be tapped as soon as their potential has been spotted rather than having to wait like most eventual Koopatrols or Hammer Bros. do. This is because Magikoopas need more time to learn their craft, plus most Magikoopas-to-be do not make good grunts anyway. In all cases each of these special divisions has their own internal chain of command and training is handled by higher members within those structures. Only in very rare circumstances would Bowser or a Koopaling be involved in the training. These prestigious individuals give marching orders and maybe a motivational speech but aren't going to teach a Koopatrol how to do a shell slam... unless we just feel like showing up their captain or something.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do all the Koopa Troopas, Paratroopas, Hammer Bros, Fire Bros, and Boomerang Bros. look exactly like they are in the games?
The newest games, such as New Super Mario Bros, offer very good depictions of these characters. But I cannot say they look exactly right. That’s because not all of the members look identical in reality. So sure, NSMB offers a good example of what a generic Koopa Troopa looks like, and you can surely find some that look very close to that. But did all Koopa Troopas involved in that episode look just like that? Of course not.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do Koopa Troopas, Hammer Bros, and Lakitus have claws or is there no need for them?
Both. They have them but it’s not like we expect them to be used much. We’re civilized, we use weapons… and brute force. Most Koopas keep their claws short.
From Tony Paratroopa
In Paper Mario 1-2, how does flipping Koopas and jumping on their belly do damage? Isn't the lower part of the shell even hard at all?
Nope. Koopa bellies are soft and squishy.
From Tony Paratroopa
How did Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas attack the Marios in the games?
Um, I think it’s pretty obvious that they touched him. Yeah, Mario must be some kind of germophobe or something.
From Tony Paratroopa
Are the wings on Paratroopas attached to the shell or attach to their backs?
I’m having a hard time thinking what the difference would be. But the wings are attached to the shells.
From Tony Paratroopa
Are the Koopa minions' claws on their hands, feet, or both?
We have claws on both our hands and feet.
From Goomba
If Bowser likes Susan and Nick more than he likes you and your brothers, does Wart like you and your brothers more than he likes Susan and Nick?
I like how you think. Unfortunately the answer is no.
From Tony Paratroopa
How do Goombas walk with such stubby legs (or feet)? You can even see any legs. just feet.
They hit the ground first with the base of the foot (the ankle, I guess), and push off toward the end of the foot (where their toes would be, if they had any). Their feet are somewhat long so they can get some distance out of it. But yeah, they're not going to go terribly quick that way.
From Rhinox
Why were you, Roy, and Larry the only Koopalings that used a Timer Bomb against the Marios in Superstar Saga?
Cackletta made the later Koopalings use them, figuring we'd need them if the first Koopalings didn't stop Mario. None of us really wanted to use them, though. We want to beat the Marios on our own... and oh yeah, they could have exploded on us as well.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do Koopa Troopas have short tails like in the new games or long one like in the Paper Mario games?
Most Koopas’ tails are short.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do Bowser's minions sleep in hammocks or beds at night?
I’m sorry, did I give the impression that we’re running a chain of bed and breakfasts? Ok, the higher ranking minions can get a hammock, and yeah, those that report directly to Bowser do actually get a bed. But the rest of them? Can I hear you say, floooooor?
From Tony Paratroopa
Does Luigi still have his Mr. L costume?
Hm, how can I answer this…? Luigi does not know he was ever Mr. L, and if the costume still exists he does know that, or where it is. And yet, it is said that when Luigi is influenced in a similar way again, he will be able to find the costume somehow. Reports exist saying that Mr. L sometimes can be spotted causing mischief. But it’s usually also said to be dark out at the time and who knows if it’s really true?
From Tony Paratroopa
Are Koopas good swimmers?
They can be, but most are not unless they will swim without their shells. Standard Koopa shells are heavy but also float.

In the Mario 3 episode Dadzilla, did you and Morton honestly believe that that movie monster anamatronic was your real dad?
Um... Morton did. I just wanted an excuse to go to Hollywood.

How come Dry Bones are not damaged by fire in SMB3 and other games, but are damage in some games like PM2?
Ok, listen up, because I don’t give this kind of answer often. Those indestructible Dry Bones are really not-so… but at first, Nintendo thought they were. See, Nintendo gets their information on adventures and specifics from the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom, but sometimes the information Nintendo gets is incomplete or mistaken. At some point Nintendo got the information that Dry Bones are nearly indestructible. Nintendo understood them to be vulnerable to invincibility and to sledgehammers – but came to believe they were invulnerable to fire. This was something Nintendo wanted to believe too, I think, because it made Dry Bones a good fortress enemy. Anyway, this is why they are immune to fire in SMB3. Later, Nintendo discovered Dry Bones really are vulnerable to fire, and you see this reflected in some later games like the Paper Marios. And yet, some later games such as the more modern sidescroller NSMB, still have Dry Bones as being invulnerable to fire. Well, Nintendo didn’t want to mess with that familiar trait in finally making another sequel to the SMB series, and like I said, they like that trait and wanted to keep it present. So yeah, they left it in there. But in fact, a good roasting does take them out.
From Iggy
In Super Mario World, do the colors of shells the Koopa Troopas wear represent some sort of rank?
Well, yellow Koopas are definitely stronger and more fearful than green or red. But they’re not a higher rank in terms of the other Koopas reporting to them.
From Tony Paratroopa
In PM2, were Hooktail and Gloomtail guarding their treasure to prevent the Shadow Queen from being released?
No, of course not. Hooktail didn't know she had gobbled up a Crystal Star at some point, and was not trying to stop Mario from getting it. Even if she had known the Star was present, she wouldn't have thought the Crystal Stars could be used to open the door and revive the Shadow Queen, as they had last been used to defeat her. Gloomtail was meant to project the Palace of Shadow and didn't know that his stepping down might have made it easier for Grodus to get through with Peach and revive the Shadow Queen.

In Super Mario World, in the Valley of Bowser it has lightning in it.
It's generated by the Neon Castle. Because it's evil. Also because it's constantly short-circuiting.

Are Rexes in Super Mario World your minions, or are they just wild?
Oh, you mean those guys that are one of the few dinosaur representatives actually seen in Dinosaur Land? Yeah, they worked for us. Most dinosaurs didn't which is why you didn't see them.
From Tony Paratroopa
On a scale from 1 to 10, how evil are the Koopas? 10 being the most evil though the universe.
I'm going to say an 8, on a scale where I take everyone to have at least a little evil, but 1 is as pure as possible and 5 is an average amount of evil. Us Koopas are definitely more evil than most, we're definitely into taking things over, lots of cheating and crime, and there's not a whole lot of ethics going on. But we're not really into destroying the world, killing for no reason, that kind of thing, which would get up to a 10. So I'd say halfway between average evil and maximum evil. I could have gone with a 7 but I'll top it to 8 since our glorious king can definitely be the "off with your head" sort just for looking at him funny.
From PaperJohn
In the final fight with Bowser in Paper Mario, how come Bowser's max HP only went to 99? I would have expected him to be much stronger.
In truth Nintendo probably toned down his HP a bit just to make the battle less repetitive and annoying. But his HP really wasn't so incredibly high. Since he was expecting to be invincible, his HP wasn't supposed to matter. It still is considerably higher than it was before.
From Tony Paratroopa
In the cartoons, Luigi had brown eyes. Does he have brown or is that a mistake?
Actually Mario also was shown with brown eyes at times despite clearly having blue eyes at the start of the credits with that close up. He and Luigi do have “honest” blue eyes.
From DaisyGirl
In Mario Tennis when Luigi wins a trophy, Mario comes up to him and gives him kudos and all. Then for some weird reason, Mario steps on Luigi's foot. What's up with that?
Looks like some healthy sibling rivalry to me. Mario was also giving Luigi some pats on the back that became increasingly hard. Probably it was done subconsciously, but it sure looks like Mario has some problems with being shown up by his little big bro.

From Dr. Hawkins
Were the Bob-omb guild (led by Big Bob-omb), Boo empire (led by King Boo) and the Shy Guy Federation (led by General Guy) always part of the Koopa Klan? Or was there some feud between them before they merged?
Well, way back in the distant past these groups would have been enemies of the Koopas at some point. But they have been working with the Koopas and largely subservient to them since Morton Sr. was king. Aside from Sub-con, Bob-ombs and Shy Guys have been close to the Koopas, and Big Bob-omb and General Guy were appointed by Bowser. Boos had been working even more closely with the Koopas until King Boo declared independence (and a grudge) and started to form his empire. His group does not acknowledge Koopa authority although many other Boos still do.
From Dr. Hawkins
If Playful and Bagels are cat and dog, are there other species from Earth that have migrated to Plit, such as the bird or rabbit.
Yes, there are other Earth species on Plit. Keep in mind that in addition to the occassional crossover because of warps, Plit and Earth were originally one and the same before they split off, so some species were able to migrate over from the beginning.
From Tony Paratroopa
Who's likely to snap first from anger, Bowser or Roy?
Bowser’s always got a short temper and is easy to anger. Roy, it wouldn’t take much to get him to fight you but it wouldn’t really be out of anger so much as he’s always looking for a fight anyway. Roy doesn’t actually get angry so much, even if he seems mad it’s often just his way of firing himself up. So Bowser I’d say would be the one to snap first.
From Chaletica
The "L33t Hamm4r Broz" from M&L: Partners in Time speak like that because they're controlled by the Shroobs. Does this mean Shroobs speak in 1337 or something?
I wish I could say that being brainwashed unlocked their inner l337 or something but the thing is with this game taking place in the past and l337 being a recent language developed online, it wouldn’t really exist normally back then. I’ve never spoken with a l337-speaking Shroob but they must have brought it over in some kind of form. Probably it was an odd English translation of whatever slang some ranking Shroob liked to use.
From Chaletica
Why is Waluigi never in any of Wario's games?
They may be related but Wario usually goes it solo. At least on treasure hunts. Sure, he may not mind a hand in causing mischief around a tennis tournament but he’d never want to search for treasure with someone who would want a share. Anyway Waluigi’s abilities aren’t really compatible with Wario’s and while he may be useful at some times he’d be a drag at others, or would just be left behind.
From Chaletica
Do any of the Koopalings like videogames? If so, what genres?
Apart from the ones that have people I know in them, I think most games are lame. But all my brothers like them, though! Or at least some of them. Lemmy plays the most games and he likes sidescrollers, RPGs, and anything with a weird sense of humor. Ludwig and Iggy like slower, more intelligent games, with Ludwig favorite puzzles and mysteries while Iggy would like something more like a tactical strategy game. Roy likes fighting games as well as anything really easy so he can dominate the game, but it must be fast-paced because he has no patience. Morton probably cares about games the least out of my brothers but would be the most interested in the storyline and likes RPGs and games that focus on characters. Larry would like detective games, horror games, anything with a mysterious edge to it.
From Mudkip
Do Koopas get dizzy when they spin around inside their shells?
Oh, like when Mario jumps on a Koopa and kicks his shell. No, they don’t get dizzy as they are protected from those forces while inside the shell. Whatever dizziness they might sustain is likely to be outweighed by their annoyance from suffering this embarrassment.
From Tony Paratroopa
Is Ludwig's hairstyle naturally like that or is he in to hair gels?
Ludwig does not spend any time on his hair. I’m not even entirely certain that he washes it. So, that is his natural style.
From Tony Paratroopa
What does Morton do during his spare time besides constantly talk?
Morton is always talking, but sometimes while doing so he will play team sports. He also tags along with Bowser on whatever schemes he’s up to more often than most of us.
From Tony Paratroopa
Do Koopa Troopas look stronger and tougher in real life? Nintendo makes them look like cute turtles instead of like evil henchmen.
Well, in tourist Stan's head they probably do. But no, your garden variety Troopa really does look weak and dumb.
From Tony Paratroopa
What game systems do your brothers have?
We’ve got all the Nintendo consoles except for the Virtual Boy because someone smashed it. There’s a DS Lite as well as a regular DS and a Gameboy Advance floating around somewhere, but no DSI and no older Gameboys either. Lemmy picked up an Xbox 360 just so he could play some game about banjoes. There’s also a rumor that he’s got a Game Gear somewhere.
From Tony Paratroopa
How exactly do Bowser and your siblings breathe fire?
It’s hardly any different from breathing. It’s easy to breathe out fire once you become able to do so, in fact what’s almost harder is not to ever breathe out fire by accident, which will happen from time to time. To breathe fire it’s mostly just like sighing, but with force behind it. We can sigh lightly to just let out some hot air, or sigh hard and that is when flames will come out.
From GeneralBleck666
What does Morton talk (rant) about most?
How should I know? I don’t listen to him! But anyway, he talks about all kinds of stuff, if you’re listen. Other than the fact he might give the same speech over again, like that infamous Speech About Speeches, I don’t know that there’a a topic he discusses more than any other.

Yes, he is jittery and does sometimes needs a push to go out and be heroic.

You told one person that you made your bow yourself, and "there's only one like it"; but you told somebody else "I have more than one, you know." So what's the truth about this bow? I think you're hiding something.
I’ll tell you what I’m not hiding, that’s my scorn for you for picking up on this one. Yeah, that looks bad. But! The truth is I did make my bow. It has been replicated so that I do have more than one of this bow. But this model of bow is completely unique and better than any other, so I’ll still call it one-of-a-kind… even though it’s actually not unique.
From Tony Paratroopa
Does Lemmy have a lazy eye?
Lemmy’s eyesight is not very good, but he doesn’t actually have a lazy eye. He’s just a crazy freak and likes to hold his eyes crossed or in other dysfunctional positions. He has the ability to move one eye without the other eye moving much, but only if he wants to.
From GeneralBleck666
If all 7 Koopalings were to give a Koopa different orders, which one of you would be obeyed first? Are any of you guys thought of as a higher authority than the others?
As the oldest and apparent heir to the throne, Ludwig is usually considered the highest and would be most likely to be obeyed first, especially if all the commands were issued from afar. Though, if we were all giving the commands in person, Roy might be obeyed first since he’s most intimidating. Or Morton, if the Koopa thought obeying him would make him shut up; and us other Koopalings would not disagree. Oh, and we can’t forget that I’m *really* good at getting what I want. So between these four it’s often battle. As for Lemmy and Iggy, it’s pretty much tough luck for them in these cases.
From Ab Koopa
What ever happened to the robot princess that Ludwig made in the Mario cartoons?
Looks to me like it disappeared into thin air. Well, not really. But between getting doused with water when Princess surfed into the castle, and getting its head knocked off when Ludwig flew into the castle (despite having already been there in he previous scene), it was headed for the scrap heap.
From Goomba
I saw on some question from way back that you said King K. Rool is Bowser's cousin. How can this be if King K. Rool is a Kremling and Bowser is a Koopa? And is Kaptain K. Rool K. Rool's brother or are they the same person?
Did I say that? Well, they should be cousins, they’re a lot a like if you think about it. I should’ve said something like partners in crime, though. On occasion, at least. But they’re not truly cousins. I shouldn’t comment on K. Rool as he’s not part of Mario Universe but I’ll tell you that’s the same character,

From Tony Paratroopa
Does Bowser have any extra crowns, besides the one he wears in the cartoons?
Bowser does have crowns, mostly because he likes to have treasure. Not as much as Wario does, but anyway… He rarely actually wears a crown. He figures he doesn’t need a crown for others to know that he’s a king, and doesn’t like having to worry about it falling off.
From Tony Paratroopa
What made Fawful become so nuts?
Fawful always had delusions of grandeur. He was a child prodigy but was weaker than most of his peers and didn’t fit in with many of them. He was usually in some group or another but as the tagalong member, seen as useful but also as a pest to be ridiculed. Each time Fawful felt himself to be shown up, surpassed, or betrayed, he would create something that he felt would increase his stature. This includes his helmet and many of his minions seen in Bowser’s Inside Story (not Midbus), and he eventually bioengineered some weird Mushrooms. Fawful has spoken in that crazy manner for a long time but even in Superstar Saga he seemed to be holding it together for the most part. He was a good sidekick for Cackletta. But when he was defeated by Red and Green, along with realizing that Cackletta had been using him, that made him even crazier and he needed to do something to make up for it. This eventually resulted in his solo takeover attempt of the Mushroom Kingdom.
From GeneralBleck666
Why do Lakitus control all the media? They are always the ones with TV cameras!
In truth there are others that will man cameras. Lakitus are generally well respected, though. Most Koopa associates respect their usefulness on the battlefield, but they are respected outside of the Koopa Troop as well. They’re considered fair judges, which is also why they ref the Mario Kart races. That position of respect makes them well suited to breaking the news. It also doesn’t help that they can fly, which helps them to get better camera angles.
From GeneralBleck666
What does Bowser do when he is waiting for Mario to get to his castle?
Jumps up and down on a bridge for days. Really. Almost. He might do some of that. If he’s at his castle, much of his daily routine remains the same. He eats, sleeps, and does most of what he’d ever do. He’s not much of a strategist. Most of any strategy he was going to employ, he would have put in motion when the attack began. So he expects his minions to carry out his orders, and doesn’t keep close tabs on them. Inevitably some minion will turn up with an update, mostly a failure or other such setback, and will likely be met with a fiery end before Bowser barks out some other order, and returns to watching TV. And jumping up and down for days.

What exactly is "Larry Koopa: Zombie Heartbreaker" and how would it be a romance game if Larry stars in it? And since when did Wart get in a comic strip called Cyborg Wart, since when did Tubba Blubba become an actor in "The Blubbening", and strangest of all, why would they make action figures of Magnus von Grapple, Ms. Mowz and Professor Frankly?! But my real question is, does all this stuff really exist or was it made up by Nintendo?
These things do actually exist in the Mushroom Kingdom. Well, I know some of them do anyway, it’s not like I read Cyborg Wart or anything. Yes, Larry does star in his own made-in-the-Mushroom-Kingdom game; it’s some twisted kind of romance, but… well, you’d have to play it to understand. Tubba does act, badly, but seems to have some fans. And there are commonly action figures made of celebrities. I’m sure figures of such characters as Frankly would be rare, though. Definitely collectors item only.

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, there is a room in Bowser Castle with cryogenically frozen Shroobs! Why in the world would Bowser keep them? I mean, he was just a kid when they attacked, so what could he possibly need them for?
Bowser doesn’t know what he needs them for, but he knows they hold a lot of secrets that may turn out to be useful, and it could be said that they have haunted him since his childhood, leaving him with a certain curiosity. A lot of them would collected and stored right after the invasion ended but he sometimes finds them still and collects them if he can.
From GeneralBleck666
Does Mario actually play Super Mario videogames?
Yes. He’s not as good at playing the games as he is actually living them.
From GeneralBleck666
Where do the sports events in Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games take place? The Mushroom Kingdom or Mobius?
The summer games were on Mobius. The winner games were in the Mushroom Kingdom.
From GeneralBleck666
Would you or any of the other Koopalings like to participate in Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games, and if so, in which events?
Lemmy would like to participate in all the winter games. Morton would rather participate as the announcer. Iggy would like to compete but… that’s not going to work out too well. Larry would like to be in the crowd picking pockets. Roy’s not interested because there’s no event where you punch your opponent in the face.
From Electribro
In the Scribbles and other submissions they say a lot of things about the "relationship" of Larry and Susan. I want to know, what is the real relationship between them?
The Scribbles are not too far off. Susan really likes Larry and always is wanting to squeeze him. Most of us Koopalings hate her and Larry, the victim of the most of her affection, is no exception.
From Electribro
Can Koopas have mates with minions like Koopa Troopas or Hammer Brothers?
Yes, especially since there isn't too much other Koopa royalty around that I care to speak of. I hear Iggy is looking for a Magikoopa chick, that nerd.
From Froggidy
Is the Minus World real?
I’m told that it is. I’ve never been there, which is a good thing because you can never get out. It was created centuries ago during a war as a way to dispose of prisoners of war and political enemies. Afterwards it was sealed up, never to be used again. But walls in the Mushroom Kingdom are unusually permeable…

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Starlow says that the Sea Pipe Statue is in praise of a hero of the sea. Who's the hero?
Not much of a hero, if you ask me, but it’s dedicated to Captain Bloopter, who fought against pirates as a member of the primitive navy. Alone with his sturdy ship and well-trained crew he would shoot himself out of pipes to take down would-be pillagers.
From Tony Paratroopa
How come the bottom part of Koopa shells can't protect the Koopas' bellies?
They’re much thinner than the top portion and made out of a lighter material. They’re not pillow soft or anything but they’re only going to do so much to cushion the blow of a hammer or heavy plumber.
From Tony Paratroopa
Where were you and your siblings during M&L:BIS? Did you escape Fawful's raid on Koopa Kastle?
Unfortunately, we did not. We got caged up just like other minions did. When the adventure really happened, Bowser did find us along the way. That would have been too cool for the game, though, and anyway, we did not stay with him long.
From Tony Paratroopa
What happened to Starlow after M&L:BIS?
After delivering that package to Bowser, she went back to live with the Star Sprites. I haven’t heard that she’s got any special recognition among them the other Star Sprites for her service, and she hasn’t been seen around the Mario Bros. much, just like all their other guides. But really, do you want to hear “hello, yello” again anyway? On an unrelated note, sometimes Bowser will punch himself repeatedly in the stomach while shouting for someone named “Chippy” to help him.

If you were to give Lemmy a makeover, what would his hair look like?
I think the rainbow hair is pretty cool, but you’re right, it’s time for a change. I want to see him with a ponytail that would trail behind him when he rolls fast. It would make him a little more mature than he is now but still leave him with a definitively kiddy look. Kind of like, “I have a childish spirit but am cooler than real children”. Oh, and he needs a bow too, of course. He’s going to pull that out right away, though.
From Dark Koopa
If one of your siblings besides Lemmy were to sneak into your room and steal something from you, what would you do first?
What makes you think Lemmy is any exception? And you know, I should be saying that the first thing I would do is start an investigation, because if something of mine has been stolen I wouldn’t know who to take out my wrath on. But then again, perhaps you knew well to phrase the question this way. It would not matter who committed the crime, everyone would feel my wrath! I will be an all-consuming wave of destruction and misery until I find what is mine, and all I can say is that whoever took it had better hope it turns up before I find out who has it.
From Dark Koopa
What is your dream job? For example, a movie star or a scientist.
I certainly do not dream about holding any job. Having a job means you have to work, and I don’t want to do any. Is it not enough that I keep on top of – no, ahead of – the latest fashions everyday and give the common folks someone to look up to? If being a princess isn’t already a strenuous full-time job, I don’t want to hear what is. But I guess in general I want to be a professional celebrity. If turning up on the set of a movie and saying a few lines now and then, maybe gracing a few posters, will do it, then I guess call me a movie star or whatever.
From Tony Paratroopa
What kind of skills does a Koopa Troopa need to become a Hammer Brother?
Apparently no skills are required these days, considering how useless that unit has been. No joke either, I mean, anyone who already has his own hammer or a helmet is in for sure. Well, I guess insofar as there are any standards these days, any hammering wannabes will need to be superior marksmen with throwing a hammer, be well disciplined, and have been noted as working well in a team. Or a couple coins paid to the right officer also works.
From Tony Paratroopa
How big are most Koopa shells?
How big are most Koopa shells? How big are most Koopa Troopas? Actually considering that the shells we wear have to be found, clearly they come in all sizes and I don’t know if any one size is more common than the others. It would be convenient if our size was the standard, but I don’t worry about such things. Anyway, if I answer with the average Koopa size, let’s say, two feet long and eight inches deep? Let’s say that.

I just saw a picture of what you Koopalings will look like in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and I gotta say, the Super Mario Bros. 3 look, very cool. The thing is, Iggy has green, re-styled hair and is much taller than usual. Was it something he ate or just time for a change?
I’m not supposed to talk about NSMBWii yet, but… I’ve been eager to spill the beans on this one. You should be the first to know that we’ve banished Iggy from the family. He has been replaced by a green-haired broom that we have taped glasses to. Everyone agrees that this is better than the original.
Ok, no… You’ll have to ask me again when the game is for real, to get an answer.
From Brick Block
In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, how exactly is Bowser able to use Spike Ball in order to perform the Shy Guy Squad attack if he only learns that ability later in the game?
He was already able to curl up, but not able to roll around this way for an extended period of time before he got the lumbar treatment.
From GeneralBleck666
Are Spinies the same species of Koopa as Bowser and the Koopalings? I mean, they have spikes on their shell.
No, Spinies are not Koopas, like Troopas, Hammer Bros, or us.
From Goomba
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Koopie Koo says to Koops, "You'll grow out of that shell soon if you're not careful." Can Koopas actually grow out of their shells?
Yes. It's normally the case with children... or those who really should be going on a diet. But Koopas grow, shells do not, so sometimes it is necessary to switch to a new shell.
From Tony Paratroopa
What ever happened to that Koopa Troopa who left you frozen in a block of ice at the end of Fire Sale? Did you roast him?
He’ll wish that I did when I find him, because it’s going to be so much worse now. Though you can see he was lieing in that hammock, he took off before I defrosted and hasn’t been seen since by anyone that I know. If you can find him for me, I’ll get Bowser to do something nice for you.
From Tony Paratroopa
How hard is it to move around while wearing a shell?
A lot easier than it would be for us to move without a shell. Look, not to many of us are going to be doing backflips, but apart from that, we don’t have problems moving around.
From Tony Paratroopa
How does a magic wand work and how do you use it?
I’m not an expert on magic, and I’m not going to become one just so I can answer your question. My understanding is that if you have a magical implement, whether it’s a wand or otherwise, you need to say or think the appropriate magic words, and that will make the deed happen. Some really simple things don’t have magic words, you only need to imagine those things to make them happen. More intermediate deeds do have words you have to know and think up on the spot, while the more advanced spells that can be performed like a wand-like object can have long phrases to be remember, and you may specifically have to say them. Even if you do have a wand, depending on the specifics of that wand, there may be spells you can or cannot perform. If your magical implement is pointer like, as a wand is, then pointing it will generally indicate in which direction your spell will be released. Sometimes a spell cannot be directed, or the incantation itself will include the direction or location.

Why was Broggy so dirty whenever Bowser used him to attack in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story?
I’m forgetting the name of that Monty Mole ripoff enemy, but Broggy kept going down their holes. Aside from that, Bowser has a habit of kicking up dust as he walks around, and Broggy is evidently a vacuum for it.
From Paperlemmy
Do Broque Monsieur and Broggy still keep in touch with Bowser?
It’s not like Bowser liked them much when he was on his adventure, they’re not best buds or anything. To my knowledge, the blockhead did come calling twice. He tried to sell Bowser some stuff once, and the other time he wanted to know if Bowser had found any Blitties or other rare blocks. Both times, his requests were blocked.
From Paperlemmy
Were Private Goomp, Corporal Paraplonk, and Sergeant Guy punished at all for betraying Bowser? I was hoping for a little more payback.
They did have to help reconstruct the castle, and maybe had to do more brunt work then they would have otherwise, but it was nothing too severe. Luckily for them, Bowser’s illness and concern for rebuilding put his attention elsewhere. I think he also was impressed that the three little guys were able to shove him into a safe, so in the end he wasn’t as mad as you’d think.
From Paperlemmy
Where did Midbus come from?
I’ll have to ask him if I ever come across him. He’s not from the Mushroom Kingdom, or even the Beanbean Kingdom. At this point I do have to say that I don’t know his origins.
From Paperlemmy
Whatever happened to Midbus after the events of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story?
Being frozen in a block of ice for hours is not generally healthy for a person. Plus, it made him an easy capture even for the inept Mushroom Police. So if you can believe it, he actually was arrested, though last I knew of him he was recovering from hypothermia in the medical ward, and I hear he is much more relaxed now that he has been defeated and Fawful is gone. It’s the general practice in the Mushroom Kingdom to release prisoners to their home country, so if that ever happens, I will find out where he comes from.
From Paperlemmy
What did Mario, Luigi, and Starlow do with the Miracle Cure after the events of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story?
It took all the power that the Miracle
Cure had, to clear away the Dark Star’s barriers. That’s why it was
no longer in Mario and Luigi’s inventory after that. It’s a good
thing that Toadley used it to cure the blorbs first. By the way,
did anyone thing it was odd that Toadley couldn’t bother to show up for
a meeting about the blorbs crisis, and even his assistant didn’t stay for
the whole meeting? I’m not entirely convinced he wasn’t in cahoots
with Fawful. He’s certainly a nut too, so be on the lookout for him.
